I recently had an experience that reminded me just why I wear a nappy nearly every night these days.
I stayed with a relative for a work trip a few nights ago. No-one except my partner knows about the nappies and I didn’t take any with me.
After getting into bed it took a while for me to get to sleep and I had to get up a couple of times before falling asleep to go to the toilet to make sure I was “empty”… as always used to be the case before I embraced the nappies as a nightly thing.
Then I was up in the night needing a wee… as always used to be the case.
Then I woke up about an hour before I needed to with a painful bladder that felt like it was about to burst… as always used to be the case.
The past couple of nights since I’ve been home remind me just how much the nappies improve my quality of sleep. I fall asleep very quickly, don’t wake (or wake consciously) in the night, and wake up in the morning wet but comfortable.
Another case of Drylife XPlus Large ordered today!
When I get into bed and try and sleep I have to make sure my bladder is empty too as even a small amount in there I will be unable to sleep. My bladder is very sensitive. I woke up two times last night to use the toilet and I still woke up this morning with a bursting bladder. My bladder capacity as smaller.
Yeah I’ve been wearing at night almost every night for the last few weeks. I’ve also been drinking a lot and yeah, it’s incredible when you’re wasted. Especially if you’re drinking the appropriate amount of water. Not having to stumble my way in the dark to the bathroom is something that I just love, and not having to get out of bed when I’m hungover is also lovely.
I have been wearing at night sometimes for a few years now but the last two years has been non stop due to waking at night, often and not being able to make the bathroom due to dizzy spells. Doc says it is due to blood pressure issues but in order to get a restful nights sleep I started wearing every night and it was wonderful to wake after a good nights sleep. The problem is I am totally soaked in the morning and I use a Tranquility ATN diaper with a booster pad. At first I was a bit worried but my urologist said except it as it may only get worse and the pills available do not work that well and just spend the money on diapers. I am quite comfortable diapering up at night now with my diaper, booster pad and a Kins cotton flannel pull up on top for extra protection covered with either soft plastic pants or softer real rubber pants. Now when I wake only my diapers are wet and not the bed and I am getting a wonderful nights sleep. I am glad I turned down the pills as I already take a bunch for other things and I quite like diapering up at night now.
Same! I was at a wedding last night and drank pretty heavily. I was staying at a hotel and if I didn’t have a diaper on, I can only imagine how much they would have charged me for the mattress! (Also, I would never in a million years want someone else to have to clean up my peed bed) My diaper was ready to burst this morning. It was really nice to lay in bed and when the urge to pee came, just dribble into my diaper. When I finally stood up, my diaper slid down on its own. Haha.
I used to wear diapers at night for fun and convenience until about a year ago. Now I have to wear some type of protection whether diaper or pull up otherwise I will wake up with a wet bed. My wife is so used to it that this morning she was checking me and noticed I was still dry. When I woke up she mentioned that she was surprised I hadn’t wet my diaper last night.
I wear diapers 24/7 due to total bladder and bowel incontinence and have accidents from both exits all the time. I always wake up in a soaked diaper and very frequently have a mess in it when I wake up. If I didn’t wear a diaper to bed, I would need to sleep on the toilet all the time.
I have been wearing more at night because of bathroom availability. When you live in a house built in the 50’s, they only designed it with one bathroom.
Plus I’ve got my disabled mother who takes literally 30-45 minutes just use the bathroom. If I wake up in the morning, she’s in there for at least an hour, even with my father helping her.
I can hold my pee well…but damn if I’m not going to be in agony.
The other night I had a few beer at night, I’ll usually wear a diaper to bed after I have beer.
This night I said meh and did not wear a diaper… by 2:00am I woke up having to pee… but I reallly didn’t want to get out of bed so I just rolled over… I kept waking up until I gave in and went to the washroom a few hrs later. Standing in front of the toilet half asleep trying to aim in the middle of the night sucks… at least women get to sit when they pee.
I was wishing I had a diaper on… I can stay in bed and not have to move… only awake up for 15 seconds… sometimes I’ll fall back asleep as I’m wetting my diaper.
So much better. Why does that somehow label me as a freak who has psychological issues?!
Most people say “you can’t take 2 minutes and walk 10 feet and use a toilet?? You pee in a diaper?!?”
I wet the bed as a teen, but it’s not a problem anymore as long as I stay away from caffeine. I normally wear at night because I find it easier to relax and fall asleep. It can be kinda tricky to manage, though since I’m in college and I have a roommate.
It depends on the school. Mine gave a choice but we had to pay more for a single. Recently, my college offers singles for free (after I graduated). Some colleges mandate doubles. Some only offer singles. It’s a crapshoot
Some universities in the USA also require freshmen to live on campus. (some only if they’re close) After the first year you can live off-campus if you like.
And years ago I remember the uni I was attending, most students were “doubled”. One semester, enrollment was unusually high, and there were iirc six dorms where they were tripled . This made the campus newspaper because to “make it up” to the students, who were still paying full regular rate, they were each given a candybar. It was all anyone was talking about for a few weeks. Not sure what happened in the end. It made the local newspapers too.
Most colleges are for-profit, and that will answer most of your questions.
Last night was the first night I tried, I cannot believe how quickly I fell asleep, and in the morning, I woke with a smile. I was so comfy, never needing to adjust my crotch as I rolled, everything just comfy and snug, amazingly didn’t need a wee until I woke, but loved it, doing it again tonight, currently diapered, and will be changing to fresh just before bed.
So I am peeing like every hour and I’m scared to talk to my doctor about my losing control when a bathroom isnt available. I called a supplier and they said they would call her do u think I should?
