I wet the bed till I was 8 and being 31 there wasn’t really any pull ups at the time so I was in plastic backed pampers baby dry size junior then size 6 when it came out for about a year till about 8 and a half. How many of you were also in normal pampers? I was lucky in that I had a rather cool family who didn’t care that I wet the bed as I would almost always be allowed to do my morning wee in my nappy and keep it on a bit at weekends and when my aunt was looking after me she was more than happy to put my nappy on a few hours before bed. We’re anyone else parents this cool about it and what are your stories? I started wearing again as a dl when I was 16.
That’s awesome! At weekends I’d have my nappy on till about 11-12 and do another two wees in my night nappy. I remember when I was 6 during school holidays being looked after by my cousin for a week when parents were away. she had a daughter who wore during the day till she was 4. She let me wear a nappy all day a couple of times with my little cousin and even on the other days let me wear a few hours before bed and half the morning.
I was 7 or so when Pampers were first introduced in the Southwest United States. I still remember the early commercials with Glen Campbell’s wife, and I was fascinated with the boxes I saw appearing in our local variety store and in the houses of friends who had baby brothers or sisters. I never wet the bed as a kid, and as far as I know, there were never Pampers in the house when I was growing up.
Pampersjh89 mentions that his aunt would let him wear a diaper well before bedtime, which must have been an unusual experience. If I had wet the bed and been diapered, I know my parents would have told me that I was too old to be doing that sort of thing or that I shouldn’t need diapers. I can only imagine the ridicule I’d have had to endure if my mom had changed me! My aunts or older female cousins might have been more understanding, but my parents would have thought I was out to ruin their lives.
It was an enjoyable experience for me to be honest. My aunt would put a nappy on me a few hours before bed and although my mum only let me keep it on at weekends she wasn’t too bothered Until I became dry. I remember needing a wee and telling my aunt and she asked me if I wanted to use the nappy. I held it for quite a while but eventually used the nappy . She changed me into my night nappy and in the morning checked it when I woke up and as it was only half full allowed me to use it for my morning wee and again a couple of hours later. She didn’t mind so long as when she said it’s time to take it off I did so.
I had a bad rash everytime i wore Huggies when I was a baby so my family bought Pampers for me… My grandma is even created a little song about Pampers… I wish i can fit in Pampers again
I started my DL desires around age 10, (circa 1995) at the time I was about 4 and ft tall and weighed about 60lbs (I was small, skinny and lite) my first diapers was pampers size 5 stretch for boys, they fit awesomely well and I would indulge in wearing them quite a bit (I use to ride my bike to the grocery store and buy my own packs and hide them in our families garage) Luckily for me size 6 came out and I was able to keep wearing them until about half way through year 2000, then puberty hit and I had an impressive growth spurt which put an end to wearing baby diapers.
I vividly remember the first summer I had my own diapers I would wear them almost everyday, both of my parents worked during the week and my older sister was tasked in looking after me, but her being a teenager and busy with her friends I was left alone a lot (as long as I didnt tell mom lol) so I had tons of private time to indulge.
I remember a few times secretly putting a diaper on in our basement (where all my legos were) and playing for hours and hours, wetting when I needed to go, our I would put one on down there before bed and then walk as quietly as possible to my bedroom and fall asleep, I would lay in bed in the morning afraid to get out of it cause my mom and dad were both getting ready for work, so I would kind of be forced to use my diaper and then fake sleep until they left the house.
Another time I was legit sick, I think I was around 12 or so, still secretly wearing, I was home from school and my mom had to take off of work to care for me, a day or two later I was getting better, but still stayed home, she had to go to work and left the house, I had free reign of the place, feeling better I just walked around the house in a diaper and tee shirt, it was an amazing time.
While it was rare for me to have daytime accidents after I was eight, I still often wet the bed and my mother put me in Pampers at night. I didn’t know it at the time because my mother would wait for me to fall asleep (and back then I was a deep sleeper).
I only learned of that a couple years later because my mother mentioned it one day. Therefore I don’t actually remember that experience. My mother was surprised when I told her that because she says I used to talk to her during these night-time diaperings.
I guess I must have been sleep-talking. My father told me that I was still sleep-talking in about 2006 (even though I was completely trained by then (for a number of years)).
I suspect what I said was probably diaper-related because during some of his past visits he would ask me if I wanted to buy anything on the diaper aisle when we were shopping. I always chickened out and say no when he asked me this.
He either learned of my interests in this area from my sleep-talking or my internet history (which didn’t always clear properly in older versions of Internet Explorer). Or perhaps both. Today, in Safari and Edge I no longer seem to have that issue.
That’s amazing did you use them till they were full or take them off before? If I was you I definitely would have kept the one you slept in on after your parents left couldn’t have been that wet if you just did your morning wee in it.
I was born in 1984. I wore pampers up to 15. I was and still am super skinny. The last pack mom bought was actually when they went cloth covering. Oh how I miss when they hug me at 10. Perfect fit and smell. Memories
Not specifically for bed wetting (life-long IC issues) but I did use Pampers for a while when I first started school. right up until they wouldn’t fit any more. But I have never been out of diapers…
