Do you just dip pacifier in mouthwash or use a Q-Tips or something else to clean it?
I wouldn’t use mouthwash, it isn’t as effective as you’d think since it’s meant for teeth not silicone/latex. Plenty of stores sell pacifier wipes for babies, just use those, they work wonderfully. If you really want you can sterilize them by boiling water and dropping the paci in for a couple of seconds. The paci wipes I use are by Munchkin, they work really well, and they don’t leave an icky aftertaste. I bought them at my local grocery store. Since I wear chapstick at night it sometimes leaves an icky film on my pacis. One wipe and bam, all clean! These things work wonders.
Never heard of this method. I am intrigued as well.
I use Milton to clean mine.
I have leukemia so I need to be VERY germ conscious. I take paci In the bathroom with me. Whe. I brush my teeth, i use a toddler toothbrush and a dab of toothpaste and scrub the nipple and mouth piece. The. I put an antiseptic mouthwash in the cap and just put the nipple part in for a minute or so.
Sometimes I put it in a plastic binkie holder case with a few drops of water and microwave it for a few seconds. Both have worked well for me.
I’ve always just tossed them in the dishwasher in an empty section of the silverware caddy. I’ve never had a problem. Though I have a minor latex allergy so I only have silicone ones which hold up to that better.
I would do the dishwasher put I live with other people so don’t want them finding out I like pacifiers
I used to have a Lionheart pacifier cleaner: it held 2 ounces of diluted mouthwash in the sprayer half, which folded onto a half which held a pacifier in its grip and collected the drip-off. But it vanished… ![]()
i just use dish soap and water … once you rinse it off you can’t taste it
Me to!! Plus I dont want stale water getting into the nipple yuck
All the replys are good. I think the main thing is if you are healthy and disease-free, all you need is a little soap and water. Anything else is really a waste.
If you are prone to infections or are currently affected, any of the methods are pretty good (I use boiling water for myself when I need to).
I use boiling water and sometimes toothpaste.
Does it matter what brand of dish soap you use?
I use alcohol 91% dipped in bowl if it’s good for items Dr use .
Just let air dry
Doubt it, I use dawn

Shouldn’t. I use Ivory because I like washing my hands with a drop of dish soap, and my skin doesn’t like the brands with heavy scents and dyes. It also doubles as a pretty good bubble bath. You can use whatever you want on pacifiers though.
