I have always wondered about this and if it is linked to being ABDL or ic. I was potty trained quite late being in diapers daily until almost 7 and in diapers on occasion until around 13, I have always just seen using the toilet as unnecessary and annoying and do tend to like being in a diaper, I can even remember being potty trained as well as going against my younger brother to become potty trained even remember a few times he won while tracking training progress, we would get a sticker for every day we did not wet and I can remember he had the first week without using a diaper and it definitely motivated him but me no so much.
I was a fail at it. They tried. So, I have been diapered my whole life. I never saw the point but also never felt that full bladder/ bowel feeling that people say exists. So, probably will never be potty trained. I am 33 at this point and it has always emptied reflexively.
I was half potty traine at arond age 14 following surgery, after surgery it took about 8 weeks of hard work by the children’s home staff to get me to recognise when i needed to poop. but i was and still am bladder incontinent.
I was out of diapers by time I by about the time I was 5.
I wa in nappies during the day until I was 5 and at least 8 or 9 at night.
I was trained by the time I was about two and a half. But I had accidents frequently enough that until I was almost ready to start first grade my family insisted I wear a diaper if we were going somewhere at which a bathroom might not be quickly available if I needed to pee. Even after I started school, I had occasional accidents if I got too excited or upset about something.
I know that I was late with my potty training. Not sure of the exact age, but I believe I was still in diapers around age 4 or 5. Did not have many dry years unfortunately. I started wetting the bed around 7 or 8 years old with some daytime accidents also happening. As a result, my parents forced me right back into diapers and training pants. After that, I basically needed diapers as protection well into my late teens, and now again as an adult.
I was early by today’s standards, I started potty training at 18 months and was out of diapers both day and night well before I turned 2. I have no memories of being in diapers, or of ever having a wetting accident or wetting the bed as a child.
I was potty trained at the age of 5 maximum. I returned to diapers at age 19 1/2 due to incontinence affecting my life
My Mom used to brag that I was potty trained before the age of 2. I have missed being in diapers for as long as I can remember. I envy those of you who were trained very late. Guess I’m making up for it these days though!
I think it was when I was age 2 before I had memories. Interestingly enough my mom mentioned on a couple occasions that when I was being babysat around age 3 that the sitter complained I was not yet trained and my Mom remembers me having “a thick diaper on” when being picked up at the sitter’s
I was potty trained by the age of two. The only exception being my mom putting me in pull-ups when I was sick until I was seven. Back door was always the first to go.
I was in diapers until I was 5.
well, i was ok during the day for the most part, albeit had a few times in grade school where didnt make it to the bathroom.
as for nighttime, never, and day is a hit or miss…not much warning, need to be close to bathroom to be dry during the day.
being 48, probably not going to change anytime soon.
Not sure of the age, but i can remember sitting on that damn chair for what seemed like hours… falling asleep on it too. ![]()
I was in daytime nappies very late, right up until i started school, then daytime trainer pants for another 4 years after that until i was nearly 9. Night time nappies then trainer pants until i was in my teens. I loved them.
Matt09 I have a picture of a kid laying over the tray of his potty chair sound asleep.
so you weren’t the only one to do that. It’s been a few years since those type potty chairs have been in use.
I had some behavior problems growing up with autism unbeknown at the time so was somewhat slow training around maybe 5 or so with still accidents. Then dry from the age of 13 till 50 then returned.
I was born in 1942 during a time when the only available diapers were cloth. I can vaguely remember wearing rubber diaper covers that come in a cardboard tube. They smelled like baby powder, and I loved playing with and sniffing the tube. I was bowel trained so early that I can’t remember the process and bladder trained well enough to be out of regular daytime diapers before I was 3. However, I remained in nighttime diapers until I was 5 or so and had daytime wetting accidents often enough that I was diapered whenever we went anywhere where I would not have immediate access to a toilet when I needed to pee. That went on until the summer before I started grade one.
My parents gave up trying to potty train me when I was about 7 or 8 and they accepted my fate.
