What’s Going On

I have noticed that recently there has been a rash of negativity, judgement, and rudeness on many posts. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know. But one thing about this world is there are so many different people, from so many different cultures. What one person may feel is a made up story, may be just a regular day for someone else.

I’ve read posts where someone says they wear diapers out in public and don’t care if anyone sees, but then chastise someone else for feeling a little adventurous.

For example, something happened to me today that I would love to share. But I won’t because I’m afraid people will respond that it didn’t happen, that I’m making it up. This is supposed to be a support group, but here lately it’s become too judgmental. Let’s correct this, and return to the helpful, supportive group we’ve been for so long.

Who’s with me? Or am I alone in this?

On the other hand, there are some people here who need to know boundaries and know how to respect other people in public.

I have been judgy in the past about things that people do in their own home but I usually just keep to myself about it. I’m trying to be more conscious about it and not judge those who aren’t imposing on anyone else or putting others at risk

I think many of us are very concerned about perception … specifically, how the rest of the world perceives our community. In a very real sense, people who go out in public in a dirty diaper, an exposed diaper, or find other ways to display their lifestyle choices are harming us all.

I don’t think it would be rational to expect everyone to agree with every experience or anecdote posted. However, as long as the incident didn’t involve others who were unwilling or unwitting participants, I think most of us tend to avoid passing judgment.
