What nappies might I have worn?

Wondering if anyone has any pics of UK nappies from the very early 2000s. I was born in May 2000 and potty trained in May 2002. So between those times  Always been curious

My mum doesnt remember what brands she used as it was never something of importance to her. Same with my dad. Have a few pics where u can see my nappies, but not enough to be able to really get a good look

You might have just caught the end of the plastic era as some Pampers BabyDry and own brand nappies were plastic to around 2000 or so.

Do you remember (or does your Mum know) what supermarket she shopped at in those days?

I shall ask

The Morrisons in the town we’re from used to be a SafeWay - probably a good chance you wore their nappies!

These are 1999/2000. Do they look familiar?

Yep. It burned down and when they rebuilt it they made it a Morrisons as they were buying Safeway anyway. At least according to my mum

No, but that doesnt mean I didnt wear them

cute I remember these

My little sister was about your age. She had cloth backed nappies. She only wore plastic backed once and it was because my grandma had bought some from a petrol station.

Bloody hell Pastel, that was quick!

Mine were definately disposable. I can tell that from the photos

Cloth backed or plastic backed disposable?

Cant tell that from the pics saldy

Sadly*

It was certainly during the “transition” from plastic to cloth era, so you may have had both depending on the brand or even the age of whatever was on the shelf at a particular time.

Cloth backed were available as early as the mid-late 90s (Pampers Premiums, I think) but plastic backed disposables were still available in the UK as late as about 2014 or 2015 with the “budget” or “value” cheapest own brand nappies.

These, I think, are familiar to me. But I might’ve also worn the print that ABU uses on their SDKs.

1999 onwards I believe… Last of the proper plastic backed

If you were in nappies 2000-2002 it’s possible that you’re “one of us” and were in plastic throughout.

These are from 2002 and were still plastic while the Premiums (purple bag) were cloth.

UK Huggies were all cloth-like earlier than that though.

These - and everything about them - are the nappies of “my ABDL discovery”. The packaging, the printer, the smell, the feel of the plastic - that pic alone makes me so nostalgic.

You might remember these too.

Not my video, and it’s in German.

It was the girl version that I wore on the very day I became a DL aged 4.

I managed to swipe a few boy ones in those early days!

It seems they didn’t change much for about a decade looking at these…
