Was your potty training as a toddler a breeze or a nightmare?

From what your remember and your parent’s info.

You can extrapolate this to bedwetting, too.

most have been a breeze for me because i have no memory of going to the potty just that i told my mom out of the blue that i can control my bladder.

I never had to deal with bedwetting as a child my little cousin on the other hand was a bedwetter tell he was 6 or 7. How about you

My mom said I potty trained quite fast, and was also completely dry at night in under 6 months.

I had a tenancy to hold my bowel movements until I ended up clogging the toilet. I had a lot of messing accidents from two to five and the fat ass who fathered my brothers did not tolerate me having accidents.

A breeze, I don’t remember going through potty training. My mom later told me my brother wet the bed until 13 or 14. I had other friends and relatives that I heard wet the bed, but it was never really talked about. I never had an accident.

I haven’t talked to my parents about potty training for many years and I don’t remember whether they said anything about how easy or hard it was. So I am going to assume that potty training my sister and I went normally.

My in real life potty training 58 years ago was a difficult and protracted one.

That is all I want to say - for now.

My parents have told me it was a pain and that they believe they rushed me through it. When my mom found out about my diapers that was one reason she thought I was doing it

I’m a twin, so we pretty much competed in to potty training.

I have very little memory of it happening, just remember doing a wee in a blue potty in a bedroom and that’s about it, must’ve been about 2, nearly 3 at the time.

I would have been trained in 1949. I don’t remember but mom did what ever it took to get siblings trained around 2.

Easy peasy. Had a potty built into my highchair. grandmas rules you sit till you go. By 18 months we were all trained. she had 17 kids of her own so had LOTS of practice.

Nope nope and nope. Being undiagnosed autistic (minor) made potty training very hard and was put in diapers as punishment till four or five

I was told that I did it fairly easily and quickly. I don’t remember, but I DO remember my potty chair.

I was adopted at the age of two and I was potty trained when my parents got me. My mom still had my diapers when I was 4 years old so I was probably delayed because of being at an adoption agency home.

I was forced to ge trained. It was very traumatic experience

I have zero memory of all this but mom has told the story lots. Apparently I decided at 18 months I wasn’t going to wear diapers anymore and pulled out the potty chair in the bathroom , mom had to run to the store to get underwear/training pants because it wasn’t on their radar yet. Had like 3 accidents, including nighttime. then my dad died when I was 4 1/2 and regressed to accidents and acting like a baby because I thought it would bring him back, only lasted a week and once she got this out of me I stopped, no diapers involved. Darn. And I remember stealing my training pants I had for my dolls by age 6 and peeing in them (didn’t fit but I put them in my pants) and already knew I liked diapers and baby stuff.

I was also late trainer I think I had accidents as a kid and basically maybe 4 or 3 years old but I think even then I still have problems even if when I was older

I was very easy and standard to potty-train and have no memories of being in diapers.
