I Just wondered what everyone else does with there used nappies?
I neatly and tightly fold mine up and use the reusable tapes to secure it before throwing in the bin.

I think that’s the common way to dispose of it. Thought I do find those with hook and loop tape hard to secure when rolled up. Anyone has any good advice on this?
Since there is often poopoo in mine, they have to be removed from bathroom trash and stored outside at least every other day. If I wait too long, small flies eventually find it.
I do the same, usually just rolled up into a ball and use the tapes to secure them. Easiest way to take care of them and leaves pretty much No Mess behind as long as you don’t drop anything.
I have the same problem. Some hook and loop diapers have adhesive strips on the tabs to help with disposal, but I always find they don’t hold. I simply roll them up and put them in a plastic bag. The diaper is not secured, but it doesn’t matter if the bag is tied nice and tight.
If I’m at home they are rolled and disposed of in purple refuse sacks provided by my local council. In rhondd cynon taff (Rhontha Cunon Taff) they have a nappy recycling unit, you just roll up your nappies, put them in thr bags supplied and they are picked up every Friday. If I’m outside the house I always use Disabled bathrooms and again roll and tape.
my Goodnites I roll up, place in a ziplock, then into the trash for trash day. Luvs/Pampers, I unfasten, and roll up front to back, but I keep the wings extended so that I can take the hook and loop tabs and fasten them to opposite sides; keeps them nice and tightly rolled up. Remember there used to be these blue and white bags that mom would use when I was a baby, always smelled of (synthetic) vanilla. Any one know what those were/are?
grab some good old duct tape
Yes. Get a 4-gallon trash can and scented 4-gallon trash bag can liners. The width of the can is just wide enough to hold a rolled-up used tushy tortilla without having to tape it closed. I can dispose of 3 before I have to take it out to the big garbage can outside. I wear mediums, so YMMV.
They were probably just scented trash bags. They still make them. Check the trash bag aisle at the grocery store.
I had some from the Dollar Tree that were white/purple striped that smelled of (fake) lavender. So maybe also check there if you want. I found that they didn’t do what I wanted, which was squash the stink from ferret poop when I scooped their litter pan. It just smelled like the ferrets had pooped out fake lavender.
I just roll my diaper up and throw it in the kitchen trash can. Since I don’t wear 24/7 and I don’t mess all the time, I can chose to mess near trash day but I still just roll the diaper up and place in the kitchen trash can. I empty the kitchen trashcan once a week but I do have the option of twice a week if needed (I place my trash in the apartment common outside trash bin which is collected twice a week).
For hook and loop diapers I have been rolling them back to front that way I can still close them. Sticky tapes I just roll up normal
That’s an interesting idea. I’ll try that with my next hook and loop.
I use a Foot Pedal style Garbage Can as a “Diaper Pail”
I change in the bathroom, roll the old one up as good as possible (with Sticky Tape Diapers it’s easy) and toss it in there
If it’s a Hook and Loop, I have came to copy what I have seen ABDLs/BabyFurs on Twitter do; roll it up like normal, but twist the Wings together and then Knot it up as tightly as possible to form a tight Ball
I empty it out once or twice a week and dont worry too much about the “Smell” because it’s a Bathroom and going to smell anyways; if not from my Diapers it would smell from TP in the normal Garbage
And besides with a Garbage Can that has a Lid that forms a seal it’s not a big problem, smells are pretty well trapped when the lid is down and if the Lid is down, nothing is going in there (when I need to use it i can use the Foot Pedal)
I roll mine up and use the tapes to tightly secure it and then put it in a large dog poo poo bag then into my diaper pail. (I found an adult size diaper champ diaper pal last year at a yard sale, I put the diaper pal into a trash bag and took it apart when I got home and soaked the pail in Lysol and filled the main part with hot water and Lysol.) it uses tall kitchen trash bags and hold up to 8 diapers which I empty every two days
Tightly fold and tape mine in a ball and throw in the outdoor cans within 24 hours
Thanks! I’ll check that out next time at the store, worst case I can always ask my mother (she knows I wear, just not for pleasure, and is cool with it, she understands my medical complications). Wouldn’t mind getting them as an extra line of defense, I’ll keep my used (wet) diapers in a ziplock and toss them on trash day, or when the bag gets full. well, with quarantine, and old man being here all the f—ing time, my used inventory began to pile up; two ziplocks, in a kitchen and garbage bag, and it was beginning to smell like I had a pile of rotting garlic/onions in my room. Ended up putting them into a box, taping the box, and putting that in a second set of kitchen and garbage bags until I had a brief window to toss everything into the garbage bin outside. Right now, it’s hard having a legitimate medical issues, and one parent who’s really only ever seen me as an inconvenience to brag about, and working around those dysfunctional dynamics
First, I roll them up and tape them. Second, I activate my Pamperchu Antitheft Detector (PAD for short, patent pending). Then, I lie in wait for it to go off.
For those, I make a bundle and then pull the two tab ends together and tie them in the middle.
wait.. you mean you have people stealing dirty diapers from your dumpster?
