Bought some Crinklz in an XL. When I tape them to myself lying down, they fit standing up… then as soon as I bend over or sit, my stomach pushes the diaper out and the tapes pop off, taking part of the side of the diaper with it. Now I have an unwearable diaper. Am I doing something wrong???
Maybe it could just be a fluke. I haven’t experienced an issues with mine and Crinklz is all I wear for now cause it’s my favorite. Even though I’ve been wearing for a long time, I still cannot get the hang of properly taping the diapers on myself. It’s always trial and error, but the tapes have never popped on me yet. I put them on both standing up and lying down. Maybe just more trial and error? Truly sorry this isn’t as helpful as it could be, I’m actually pretty terrible at giving advice. Is this the first diaper of the batch? Maybe another will hold better?
I favor crinklz because of the fit. All the issues you have…I experience with other brand diapers. Crinklz tend to fit me best if I stand up while putting them on. I also tend to let the back ride a bit higher than the front. Without a landing zone, there is enough give for them to snug up. Occasionally the diaper will ride down but it wont’ slip off like some other well known brands.
Unlike most people, I don’t really have a rear end that sticks out…my ass is rather “flat”.
I use
EasyKlip Mini | Sailmaker’s Supply
No tools needed for these instant clip-on grommets. Attach to tarps, boat covers, etc to provide an instant grommet. Heavier the load, tighter the grip.
With an appropriate bungee, for dispies which don’t fasten properly.
Just a case of tension holding the front up (never had a problem with the front falling or slipping down). Leg/lower tapes can be afixed in the diaper maker’s intended fashion, but less taut (as long as you make the V in the crotch and don’t overload the dispy, you should be okay).
I can’t get on with my crinklz . 2 out of 2 have ripped when sitting down . Just wondering do these work best for thin people I have a beer belly I’m about 14 stone
In weight , not had any problems with little pawz
Hope this makes sense
I’m a bit bigger and don’t have a problem. I’m about 275lb. Perhaps you are taping them too tight.
Cheers I’ll try that thanks
I’m a size 16, 5’10" 15 stone, with a belly and I struggle to get medium Crinklz Aquanauts tight enough. Not the product, just my technique as in they start off tight around belly button height then naturally they slip down.
I wear the same nappy before bed, to sleep and a couple of hours in the morning and never had a tape issue, not very helpful I know but watching thread with interest x
I wear my nappies under my belly difficult to see the tapes going to try my crinklz on in a bit but not so tight
Thanks put my crinklz astronauts on bit looser no problems yet . Not peed yet but
Will have to button up my onezie earlier than usual
Whoops sorry looks like I stole this post
Hope I didn’t upset anyone
Are you putting the diaper on over or under your belly?
Put it under if you aren’t. Should help a lot.
Under works for me
I do wonder whether the problem with Crinklz is not the tapes per se but the print on the plastic causing them not to stick properly.
The BetterDry tapes are fantastic and I have never had a problem with them coming unstuck, but when I got some Crinklz samples for variety (same shell, same tapes, same maker) they slipped.
I found the tapes will only stick to the plastic parts needs to bit looser than others
You may be suffering from middle to older male thickening of the middle. I experience it with my jeans. They go on nice and secure around my waist but in short order they are slipping down. I then need to pull them up, tighten my belt and then after a while they are slipping again.
Don’t want to insult anyone bit it’s our middle age typical body shape.
i have similar issues with my diapers and try to get the bottom tapes secure as they are the ultimate holders of the diaper so it won’t slip off. And then I try to get the top tapes tight but not so tight that they will pull away. Trial and error which of course will change for each brand of diaper.
Hope this helps.
I figured out what I was doing wrong thanks to the tips in this thread. Thanks, everyone!
What fixed the problem?
Thanks everyone no more ripped crinklz
Really happy now l love crinklz now
Hold a lot of pee
For me I was doing the tapes up to tight
