Can you provide a screenshot or an example link? It’s not clear what you’re referring to.
" is the representation for the double quotation mark in HTML. The character " is used in programming languages to mark the beginning and end of strings literal, which are not processed by interpreters, but rather simply used as is. Therefore, an alternate representation is needed for the character if it is to be displayed. This lead to " being introduced.
Related: Because all the HTML escapes for special characters begin with &, the ampersand has it’s own code, &.
It’s likely a technical glitch in the forum software not processing the HTML escapes correctly.
I can not find the two that have been in the forums, but if you look in the Foodies Group the “Chopped Meals” is listed as "Chopped Meals":
I thought it was a recipe for cumquat. :laugh:
Note that when I used your quote, the quotation marks showed up.
Works for me too.
