Store brand diapers and pads/Liners

I wasn’t able to find much from searching online,so I decided to ask here.

The closet store to me is a Dollar General,so there’s usually not too many choices on diapers. Mainly Always Discreet and Depends,Dollar General Health, and sometimes Poise pads.

I wanted to ask what is recommended for someone starting out,as well as another question. Is it reasonable to use an incontinence pad as a booster?

If so,what kind of pad would you recommend?

(I’m basically just looking for what can absorb the most liquid)

If you can find any kind of tabbed diaper, get that one. They’ll usually have better results than pull ups.

But as for Dollar General’s selection, I like Always Discreet the most. You can add a perforated poise pad if you want to, but I imagine you’d be really prone to leaking since most diapers on store shelves have really poor leak guards. This especially applies to pull ups.

Is local your only option?

Because there’s plenty of amazing websites that you can get way higher quality products from. My favorite is northshorecare.com

Thanks for the suggestion!

I am aware of websites that offer far better diapers, but due to where I live, and the virus going around it takes ages for things to ship here, so it’s just more convenient to walk five minutes down the road and buy some.

Would you say that a always discreet and a poise pad would be the most absorbent?

I know it will probably leak, but it’s worth a shot.

I’ve never tried poise pads as stuffers but double diapering should give you decent results. Just cut holes in the inner diaper

I think the Always Discreet pullups do a fair job but I always add a pad. My fav is the Tena Overnight pad. They are fairly large compared to most others and a lot thicker. I always poke some holes thru the pad so it wicks the moisture thru the pad to the diaper. Sometimes I even add a Poise pad inside also with holes in it. They are a lot smaller than the Tenas so fit nicely inside.

trust me, proper diapers are totally worth the wait. but if you’re just starting out it might be better to get some cheap crap first and save the good stuff for later. just remember that store brands are terrible
