Razors and Shaving

So this is for anyone and everyone. A whole bunch of us do it so let’s talk about it some.

Do you shave?
What type of razor do you use?
What type of shaving cream do you use?
What areas do you shave (try not to be too graphic)?
Personally I shave my face, armpits, legs, groin, and sideburns. I had used cartridge razors and shaving gel for years, but recently I switched to an old style safety razor and Barbasol. That combination has given me a closer shave and less irritation than I’ve ever had with cartridge razors.

Double Edged Razor (Feather Blades) with Soap/Brush for me. I shave my face, groin, chest/stomach, and sometimes armpits. I don’t care much for body hair

I shave infrequently so it grows out a little. So start with electric clippers getting it to stubble. Then I get into the shower with really warm water and soften the hair with a good conditioner. Then using a women’s bikini shave cream and disposable razor and shave very carefully. I try not to go over the same spot twice couse this will couse razor burn. There is always some itching but I’ve got it to a very manageable itch.

Electric trimmer to clean up the area around my beard. Then use shave gel and a ladies razor to finish it off. I use a disposable 3 blade for the netherregions, inner thighs, and torso. Unless it’s winter I typically shave between 2~4 days.

I sported a beard half my life but the girls I lived with got me to shave it off, beard burn on their thighs. I used foam and a twin blade cartridge for years but they dissipated in to 3 & 4 blade things I didn’t like so I went electric. You should list the electric types as foils suck, my favorite was the Norelco twin rotary but there gone too so I currently use a triple.

I use a lawnmower 3.0 for the bulky work. And a cartidged Mach 3 to shave closer. I keep my chest, stomach, groin, and thighs shaved or trimmed close. I’m not a fan of body hair.

LOL I’ve always loved how they are called “safety razors”. I guess they were a lot bit safer then a straight razor.

I’ve had and used one for a long time now and they work great, just be careful with them if you are new to one.

Yeah. I’ve been shaving roughly daily with one for about two weeks, and I still nick my upper lip every time.

They were called safety razors because they couldn’t cut your ear off or slash you neck, but now they tend to cause more cuts to new shavers than cartridge razors.

I use electric razor to shave my face. It ine that I can switch the head to clippers. I clip every where else. So it really short..

Four things to remember about double edged safety razors

1 They will cut you, lol, and will do such a good job of it you won’t even feel it at first.

2 Finding the proper angle to hold it takes time to get used to.

3 Getting used to the weight of it.

Vintage or good newer ones are quite heavy compared to a mostly plastic cartridge razor.

4 Do not overly push/press it against you, especially if you shave “up” or against the grain (see #1, lol).

Newer 57 blade cartridge models are far move forgiving then a single blade when it comes to that.

Having tried lots of different razors, 2, 3, 4, ect blades, moisturizer stripes, girlie razors, ect, ect,.

I go back to it because it gives a WAY better shave and the blades last longer and are also WAY cheaper.

I pay 7 to 8 dollars for 100 Dorco razor blades on “That” site, lol.

Yes. One. Hundred. Razor. Blades. that have 2 sides, lol
