Question for bedwetting girls

Hi, this week I have had 3 accidents i don’t want to compare with someone who has been incontinent their whole life, it may be just a fluke, my therapist think can be regress, but my issue is even with the diaper I have leaks sometimes and in two days my period is supposed to come so do you have any suggestions to avoid leaking because I think a leak mixed with blood will be hard to clean

Your leaking could be caused by many things, so more information is needed.

What kind and type of diaper you wear?

Are you getting a proper fit when you put them on?

Do you sleep on your stomach, side, back?

Tena overnight is the that fits me better here in Brazil and the best one we do not have good diapers here, I sleep on my belly a little on the side I adjust the best I can without hurting my legs

Even the best diapers don’t stop side leaks unless you wear diaper pants, and them sometimes they can leak as well. May I suggest you put down a bed pad. I don’t ever go to sleep without one under me, protects the bed and allows me to sleep not being concerned about leaks. Since you are in Brazil, I can’t really suggest any diapers because I don’t know where you get them from or what is available for you. Are you Tena overnights the pull-up type? If so, are there any actual tape on diapers you can get? Always best to get ones with leak guards.

Are the Tena overnights a pull up or tape on diaper?

Basically, pretty much any pullup is going to leak. Even the best pull ups do not compare to a taped on diaper for nighttime wetting. Trust me on that.

Sleeping on your stomach or semi side sleeping shouldnt be a problem. I sleep the same ways.

I would suggest getting at least some sort of mattress protector and possibly a chuck or bedmat to sleep on. A decent chuck can contain a leak and save on washing sheets and of course the mattress cover saves the mattress.

Is the one with tapes usually holds, but sometimes leaks and it does have leak guard is really the best one here for me I tried abena but the medium was to big so would leak and the molicare they had the small

But does not absorb enough this are the best ones available here thanks I will try the pad I ask my friends to lend me two from her dog I don’t want to buy a big bag because I am hopping this is a temporary thing like my therapist said maybe a regression or a ptsd dream

Thanks for

The tips

It is the tapes one , I do have a pad but it’s light pink I m scared that I won’t be able to get of the stain and I also have a mattress protector too, maybe I just peed a little more today

the best would be cloth diapers and plastic pants, but for disposable diapers, I usually put them on as tight as possible, I usually tape the top first laying down, then going in front of a mirror, I pull the front of my diaper to the back on the bottom, folding the back tape area upwards so I can smoothen out the diaper front section, I slide the front section up and down and get it as smooth and as far back, to almost the padding of the rear section, looking in the mirror if it’s smooth and even, then with one hand pull the lower area back before tapping also pulling towards the top tape so sides of my didi are really tight, this really cuts down on leaks laying on my side, If you look at some of my pictures on media especially the later ones look at the sides of the didi to see how the front section is even and pulled as much to the back as possible. every diaper is different, I like to wear large even tho a medium fits so I can get pretty much two layers on sides and then large plastic pants so I am pretty covered, with the onesie holding it uptight I don’t have very many leaks, and the diaper with usually 2 boosters weight 6 to 7 pounds, so it’s wet! sorry for going on and on, hope you understand what I am trying to pass on?

Please not puppy pads are not as good for sleeping on as ones made for adults. I would suggest checking to see if there is a place you could get a pack of 5 or 10 to try out. I find for me the larger size works best, 30x30 or larger, allows me to be able to roll side to side. The other thing you could do is to get some diaper pants, like I noted they help but if you leak to much they too can leak around the legs or waist area.

Do hope for you that this is temporary and while you are going through this, you find the right diaper and fit that helps you get through your rough nights.

Thanks

If it’s your time of the month maybe try some older sheets and disposable underpads and matress protector until your cycle ends.

It’s not easy to get those stains out of anything.

Alternatively you could use black reusable underpads that cover most of the bed. It’ll still be stained but not as noticable.
