Just curious if anyone wears a PeekABU cap or knitted hat?
I’ll likely get the raccoon at some point! I think non ABDLs would think it’s cool and not realize what it is, meanwhile other ABDLs would give a thumbs up! Plus you would look cool
I’ve seen a few discussions over the years on ways ABDLs can wear or show something to maybe find other ABDLs, like a wearing a diaper pin or something. What’s better than this?
I would absolutely wear one for the reasons mentioned; not only are they cute designs, it’s absolutely the best little “wink” to other AB/DLs in public without being conspicuous.
The only problem is that baseball caps just don’t look good on my head, and I live in So Cal so I have no regular use for a knit cap (especially since we’re experiencing record-high temperatures right now). I wish there was an alternate type of clothing or accessory with those critters on them.
I didn’t know they had shirts, other than the two which they sell on their website (neither of which are that interesting to me, are pretty expensive and one of which is anything but inconspicuous).
I like the idea of the hat as an everyday accessory you can wear with anything anywhere, as opposed to the more limited functionality of a t-shirt. It’s not that I *want *to be noticed in public, but it’s always kind of a cool feeling when you’re wearing a shirt of a really obscure band or show or game and a stranger recognizes it. On the other hand, I also love the sneakiness in that the majority of the time only I know what it is that I’m advertising.
The closest equivalent I can think of are the Rearz-print face masks, but I already own, like, a dozen custom face masks.
Yeah the shirts have the PeekABU characters and colors of PeekABUs, but they never sold them on their website, only at small events and thats why a lot of people don’t know about them, but I’ve seen pictures of people wearing them
Those are great, that’s pretty much exactly what I was hoping for, something of a polo or workshirt design as opposed to a t-shirt. Hopefully I come across one at some point.
What’s it matter if somebody does? If anyone not ABDL asks, mine is just a random hat somebody left in my car after driving some people around during a furry convention.
If the design said “ABU” or something, I’d understand where that fear may come from, but as it is, I honestly don’t see how anyone could effectively investigate it. What would they Google, “raccoon cap”? “Cap with half a giraffe face”? I really don’t think anyone could find the source of such a vague image.
I should say that I *completely *understand why someone would be hesitant to wear AB/DL paraphernalia in public and I respect that, though drawing a parallel with my own personal experiences, the vast majority of my t-shirts (and a few hoodies) are of relatively obscure bands and pop culture. It’s not uncommon that every once in a while a stranger will recognize it and make a comment to me: sometimes it’s just “hey, I like your shirt”, other times it’ll spark a brief conversation…one time I randomly met someone who had worked on a movie I was wearing and another I was approached by an enthusiastic family member of a musician from one of the bands I was wearing.
However, nobody has ever shouted anything I’ve worn at me before, so I can’t imagine I can apply the same to an article of AB/DL clothing. I can’t say that something like that would never happen, but I can’t imagine where it would happen that it would matter. It’s not like I’d be wearing ABU gear to work or church, so if somebody inadvertently outs me (and themselves) as an AB/DL when I’m, like, shopping at Target, I wouldn’t care too much. I mean, odds are I’d already be diapered at the moment.
But, of course, that’s just me. I’d take the risk, but I get why others wouldn’t.
