I had the most delightful pee dream last night. I was walking around my university and couldn’t find a bathroom. I ran into a dorm and couldn’t find a toilet there either. I had to pee in a shower.
I woke to actual consequences in my ABU Kiddos. I can usually make that happen if I go to bed with a medium loaded bladder and more water in my belly.
Now that I’ve had my fun, protocol dictates that I sleep in cloth tonight and keep it dry. If I can’t, it will require a week long break from diapers, during the day, too.
This is your friendly reminder not to compromise your actual continence while you play. You’re an adult and are responsible for your health.
So every time you wet in your sleep the next night you go without? I am asking because I had an accident two nights in a roll and I like the idea of having accidents but I don’t want to be a everyday thing
That’s right, generally speaking. I’m a strong proponent of maintaining your actual continence if you’re not already IC. I usually gauge how the wetting happened. If I just woke up enough to wet, that’s one thing. But if I didn’t have the agency to stop it, I have to take a break.
Usually it’s enough for me to empty my bladder and not take on a full tank before bed, but I wear cloth that night and keep it dry.
Often pee dreams usually entail waking up in a wet diaper. Well if I am not wearing a diaper, the bed ends up soaked… It has been like that for as long as I can remember. I wish I was continent, especially the mornings I wake up in a wet diaper.
In this case, you do not lack agency due to incontinence you lack it beacuse you are not unconscious you have no control over anything. Even as child bedwetting is not part of potty training/being content. It is a fairly common misconception, parents will ask when/how they can potty train their kids but if they only wet the bed they/you are potty trained.
yes, the pee dream. About 1 / year for me, only about 10% of the dreams do I wake up actually slightly going already or have a small wert spot in my undergarments. Other 90% I may not wake up until the next morning and just remember the dream or I may wake slightly at the time, recall it is a dream, and go back to sleep. The point that is is interesting to me is it always involves “rushing around looking for a bathroom and not being able to find one” (both for me and many other members on this forum).
Does anybody ever have the “pee dream” that does not involve a bathroom? Maybe in your dream you are in an art class and you decide to do some pee art? Odd example I know but you get my drift hopefully.
I’ve had a pee dream once where I felt the urge and decided it would be fun to just wet myself without even trying to look for a bathroom. I let it rush out but my pants did not get wet, much to my sadness I realized I had forgotten that I was wearing a diaper. I did wake up wet… But I wake up wet 3-5 nights a week anyway, rarely with a dream involved…
I concur with the op’s idea, while walking up wet once in a while is fun, bed wetting does suck!
I suppose that is fair, I have basically the same issue. If I keep track of when I drink I will almost never need diapers in the daytime and I know the occasions I would need to be in a diaper and even then wetting is uncommon. It has been this way my whole life only being potty trained to the point I do not need to be in diapers 24/7 at age seven and even then still needing them until about thirteen and in that time found out the times would need to be in diapers.
I wet 1-2 times a month from 7-13 and many 5 times a year from 13-19 but have not wet while not in a diaper since I was 10 and have always wet the bed. At 19 I chouse to put on a diaper during the day just beacuse I wanted to do so and have not gone back and using 24/7 since. I can still use the restroom normally but generally just don’t by choice.
I would not say I am more incontinent now than anytime prior I just keep less track of when I will need to use the restroom. I still get the urge that I need to go use the restroom ninety percent of the time or more but I just ignore it and it goes away until I use the restroom or wet.
I worry about that to. I seem to wake up every night about 3AM. I have to go, not so bad I’m going to wet the bed but uncomfortable enough to keep me awake. I’ve thought about wearing diapers to be then just wet them and go back to sleep. Problem is after awhile I might not wake up. All of a sudden I’m wearing diapers because I have to. That makes things very complicated. I wear cloth so eather I would have buy many more diapers, or switch to disposibles.
I just noticed that I did not talk about dreams in this LOL. I have mine fairly frequently like at least once a month and they are kind of a play on the going to school/work/event naked but instead of being naked I am in diapers and strangely often nothing else or with just a diaper and a shirt and fully unpotty trained and it goes basically like you think but I will also have lucid dreams and in them, I am just ABDL but can go by dream logic.
In the lucid dreams, I am typically about ten and in some kind of daycare with other kids and that also basically goes just like you think, both cases people laugh and make fun of me but I don’t care in either of them. Lucid dreams also tend to indicate if I have wet as if I wet in the dream I have wet the bed… well wet my diaper and if I wake up while wetting I will be wetting in real life.
So that is interesting. I do not recall ever having a pee dream where I am embarrassed about wearing protection or being noticed. I am guessing it is because of the difference in our growing up as young boys. My parents were great about me wearing protection at night and never humiliated me or made a bid deal about it. My plastic underpants were in my drawer and I just knew to put them on over my training underwear (or other) each night. From age 4 - 10 I was in some form of protection for at least 75% of that time period at night. My plastic mattress cover was always on my bed until some time at age 11 or 12, it “disappeared” one day. I was lucky, even at my first sleepover at age 8 and soaking my friend’s bed, his mom had me wear a diaper and pp the next time I had to sleep over and he and his brothers and sisters never made fun of me or even mentioned it.
I’m incontinent and rarely have dreams like those. I do remember them from when I was in my 20s or so. Most of my dreams are just extremely weird. Any dream I have that involves wetting is usually me just trying to find a place to change or just going about things in my weird dreams. The most strange dreams are the ones where I walk around busy places in nothing but a diaper and I try to hide. Usually, one notices or says anything in those dreams.
The pee dream is the bane of my existence. It comes in a few flavors.
Finally a toilet who cares where it is—oops, wet the bed
Finally made it home, something is weird about peeing, why am I not feeling better—oops, wet the bed
Break at work. Hey, why can’t I seem to STOP peeing—and I’ve wet the bed
What the HELL is happening in front of me that’s terrifying ohfuckimgonnawetmyself—and guess what happens
I am NOT going to make it accident—accident
Recently I had a case of inception kind of—a nightmare where I was asleep, had an accident, was harangued by my roommate about it in he dream, and had an actual accident.
I really shouldn’t be taking chances sleeping unpadded.
@OmiOMy - wow! Pee dream in multiple “flavors”. Quite complicated in scope but same end result in reality - wet sheets & pjs. I’d be curious what a therapist would say about this dream being it has multiple settings behind each accident and appears intricate for explanation.
And that’s the thing, I really want to bring this up with my therapist, because it’s been getting in my way, but for some reason I’m terrified. I don’t know what she’d think. Especially if it came to admitting just how often these things happen.
The last pee dream… I had dreampt that for some reason it was hurting me to pee. Sure enough I woke up, went to the bathroom and ended up with a urinary infection that turned into prostatitis.
