I don’t get how if a child is not potty trained it’s one thing that the kids wet or mess or can say incontinent or on the spectrum I feel like parents don’t want to potty train I as a boy I was out buy age 3 I still had accidents until 5 I remember messing my self when I was younger then getting hit with that happen I wish my parents were a little more understanding I was a late speaker
Some kids will potty train themselves, some, like me, can’t and will never learn to use it. No one cared to try and train me more than the first time and as a result, I’m sitting in a wet and poopy diaper.

Parents GAH!! They do their kids such a disservice sometimes.
But it’s never too late to learn. If you really want to that is.

The job of a parent is to make their child the most capable person they can be…in ability and mind. Some parents…they just don’t care and I’ve seen them: they have kids but are kids themselves. And once their kids are grown, it’s too late. I’ve seen kids burned out on marijuana, alcohol or inhalants by 14, I’ve babysat, changed, held and rocked kids that I’ve outlived…because their parents didn’t “have it”. Nothing is more tragic.

My mother admits that she never tried very hard to potty train me and never really followed medical advice when looking into my IC issues, does this make her a bad or abusive mother? I don’t think so, she did the best by all us kids, I am a confident young man all be it with IC issues but I personally don’t hold that against her
