Oh, okay I squirm more now!?

Not looking for advice, just wanting to share some new things I am experiencing!

I have been on and off diapered for two years now, I often wear to bed and I will wear during the day frequently. During the day I will let it flow the moment I feel the urge.

Lately I have noticed the adverse affects of using a diaper. I enjoy beer a few times a week and lately I have been doing the cross legged squirm dance when I feel the urge. It’s becoming more difficult to hold my pee.

For example I brush my teeth before bed (not diapered), I use the toilette after I brush then I will diaper up; but lately as I’m brushing I feel the urge and have to stop and use the toilette ASAP! I will be squirming and trying my best to not dribble as I brush my teeth.

The other day I let out a toot and I had a tiny dribble. (TMI and embarassing but I am sharing for the sake of discussion).

This is new and I have to assume diaper usage is contributing to the urgency of things now…

I am in my late 30s and have NEVER had urinary control issues.

As a lifelong DL I am okay with this in a way, I know, I know…

I can’t wait for the new XL Goodnites, I like using the current L/XL as daytime diapers and use them confidently.

My long binges have certainly had an impact on my continence. I’m 35 and been wearing over 20 years off and on. I could never regulate like just wearing in the evening. I would take it to extremes like binge wearing for a solid 4 months. Overtime I learned to wet at the slightest urge without clenching my sphincter afterwards. It is this what has had a impact on my continence.

My bladder is very sensitive, I can’t sleep without completely emptying it even if it’s in my nappy. Pretty much have to wear a nappy to bed every night otherwise I’d need to get up and use toilet 3/4 times. This disturbs my sleep. If I’m out and returning home as soon as I walk into the warmth I get an intense need too pee and if I’m not wearing my nappy my bladder spasms and I have large droplets wetting my pants while I run to use the toilet. I have after dribble when using the toilet and also uncontrollable dribbling when having a bowel movement, + post micturition dribble = weak sphincter muscles. This from prolonged disuse of muscles when keeping everything open and peeing at the slightest urge.

I don’t want incontinence but I can’t regulate my nappy wearing. I fear that if I carry on I’ll become incontinent but also this excites me.

Something similar happen to me I had to go but I was trying to hold a little more and as soon I started drinking water I started to leak

This definitely is a thing. If I go on a diaper binge when I am off of work I find the same thing the days when I am not wearing. I think it’s because I am trying to be careful and not pee a little and embarrass myself.

I don’t think it’s related to nappy usage. If you enjoy beer you’ll want to pee a lot.

Well most people are the same when they can’t find a toilet if they have drunk a lot. ? ? ?

I have had this experience as well, I find I diaper trained my self enough that when I’m wearing and feel the urge to go I just pee with out almost thinking. It’s almost like I get a signal time to go and I just let go instead of holding. Then when I’m done diaper bingeing for the first couple days I don’t have the same hold time as previous and want to empty. I find it’s more of a struggle to hold back until my bladder adjusts again.

this happens to me usually after leaked. just the feeling afraid of leaking again, would make me hold often tho

I’ve been 24/7 for a bit over 3 years. What I have noticed is several things that seem to trigger me wanting to pee. I use an insulin pump and test my blood glucose level 5 times/day on average. I happen to keep my test kit on a counter. Whenever I am standing by the counter taking my blood sugar readings I will want to pee and generally do. It’s not a lot; but, it seems to be a normal thing. Also, when I put a fresh diaper on I can be reasonably assured I’ll feel the urge to pee right away. In both these instances the only times I resist the urge is if I also have panties on as I don’t want to pee in my panties. I wear them inside the diaper so I do have to pay attention.

one thing you could do is pick up some pull-ups in your size, and try wearing them when your not fully diapered, just as a stop gap until you can make it to the toilet, think of it as reverse potty training, unless you want full control back, which would mean just using them as a stop gap while doing some holding exercises until you can’t hold it anymore

Alcohol and caffeine can also be irritants.
