North Shore MegaMax vs Rearz Inspire+

Have any of you tried both North Shore MegaMax and Rearz Inspire+ InControl? If so, how do the two brands compare in terms of capacity, reliability of the tapes, etc.?

Having tried both, my thought is that the MegaMax tapes are far superior … they just hold and hold. The capacity of the MegaMax seems superior as well; at least, I’m far more confident when wearing a MegaMax that it will not leak. Rearz makes good products, and I don’t think you can go wrong with either diaper, but if I had to choose one or the other, I’d buy the MegaMax.

Megamax has better tapes and a better fit for me, rearz are thicker and more comfortable to me.

I’ve tried both and like both. You can’t beat the tapes on the MM as they are almost impossible to get apart to take off. However the Rearz work fine and hold well too. The MM probably hold a bit more but the Rearz hold quite a bit and don’t leak for overnight wear. Having said that I’ll have to stay with the Rearz as they end up being a better value for the money.

I’ve never tried the MM but the two look almost the exact same to me based off pictures

megamax are thinner when dry but when wet they swell a lot but stay feeling kinda dry. Safari etc are thicker when dry but when wet they don’t swell as much and feel a bit wetter.

and as others have said, megamax’s tapes are extremely good.

The mega max was good when it was first released. Don’t care for the most recent version of it. I think the inspire plus fits and feels way better than the mega max.

So this thread is a bit dated and manufacturers will change their diapers slightly over time (no pun intended). The current version of the Incontrol Inspire + is now called the BeDry Premium.

I prefer the Incontrol diaper because the Megamax is way more expensive and the mediums are too big on me.

There’s also two distinct MegaMaxes now, the tried-and-tested Chinese version which has been around for years (and still is available), and the USA-made MegaMax which is a first-run and has an updated version already in the works that will supposedly be an improvement (although I don’t mind the first batch, and they’re on sale for a good discount too)

Having tried both, I would say that while they are both quite capable diapers, the incontrol bedry elite is a bit softer inside and out, a bit bigger, and just a tad easier to get the perfect fit with. I also like the design, wetness indicator, and hook and loop fasteners on the incontrol, which the mega Max doesn’t have. And, as mentioned, the bedrys are less expensive while maintaining the same level of quality, so they are a much better value proposition in my book. To each their own, though.

I find the megamax to be a bit smaller for me where as I love the fit and feel of the Rearz inspire+.

I wear a size large megamax but a size XL for the Rearz.
