So I was in Tesco earlier and noticed the packaging and designs of Drynites are different. The packaging is now black (all ages) and the designed on the 8-15 “teen” pull ups have changed. The younger ones still have Tinkerbell.
The 8-15 pull ups now have a design more closely resembeling teenage girls panties. With ribbon and lace look with darker colours and more grown up looking patterns. I don’t like this, as an adult toddler. But I can see how this is desired by the target audience, so can’t really complain.
Sorry was pretty much in and out due to coronavirus rules. Only went down nappy isle because I couldn’t find the washing powder and thought it might be there (it wasn’t). Didn’t buy any today as my mum sent me with her debit card and they are like £5 so didn’t want to spend her money on it x
DryNites Design Gallary
Collection of Different DryNites designs over the years from packs i was willing to open. Dates used are Production dates printed on the packs. Will need to do some research to find years designs where in use (from - to) UK ~ Boys ~ 8-15 ~ 2009
Boys & Girls 8-15
Girls 4-7
Still waiting on Boys 4-7
To me the Girls designs are a lot better than boys, looks like the design contrast is off so you can’t see pattern all to well.
●Core to me feels a lot softer
●Weaker sides
● Use of the word “Teen” on packaging is questionable as they start from “8” and teens would be 13,14,15
Not as absorbent as Pampers. And no where near as absorbent as adult nappies, which is surprising as they are for older kids and teens. But they aren’t bad and are very discreet
I found them! Got boys 8-15s and grabbed them. I think they’re pretty good and are clearly catering for more ‘grown up’ kids. Far less kiddy and more discrete and with the teen wording you can assume drynites are trying to get as far away from nappy as possible and get them popular with the older age range.
I have only just got them. But I’ve tried one on and they are very comfortable, I’d say they feel more stretchy on the sides - possible less strong too. But I’ve never had a problem as I’m pretty small on the waist.
Having said this. I MUCH prefer the older designs. And will have to search them out before they go. I can see why they’re being geared to look more grown up - just may not work for the likes of us
I think that’s the point. They are supposed to look as much like underwear as possible. Their target audiance is bedwetting teenagers who are probably pretty embaressed and down about their situation
These are replacing the 1.5-2 years pullups, but aren’t a training pant, no feel wet later or fade when wet, there just nappy pants but under the pullups brand.
I don’t like the new black drynites I prefer the bright coloured ones like the butterfly and the skateboard ones where you can see them wet I’ve still got one of the butterfly drynites and I don’t want to use it, I need more nappies/pull ups
