New lovie

My mommy (wife) forgot a Christmas gift to give to me. I sleep with a puppy every night. His name is Ruff Ruff. I have been sleeping with him for about 30 years now. He has been slowly going down hill. He I

has holes and has been sown up multiple times over the years. The Christmas gift is a new puppy that will replace the puppy I have now. My mommy suggested to maybe have Ruff Ruff for special time, so he can be around a lot longer. It makes me sad that the only thing that I have tied to my childhood might have to be only for special time and not be with me every night. This might be a hard transition for me, but I know my mommy knows what is best for me. She cares a lot about my special time. Have any of you had to replace a long time lovie? Was the transition hard for you? What helped with the transition from one lovie to the next lovie? My current lovie, Ruff Ruff is on the right, and my new lovie, Woofie, is on the left. You can see Ruff Ruff has been loved a lot over the 30 years.

ME slept with doggie until I was 16, ME want doggie back :frowning:

Sock monkey! :frowning:

Pound puppies are an AWESOME friend to sleep with. I have had mine for about 34 years and he is still in amazing condition and although he sat on a shelf for about 20 of those 35 years he has always been with me. I’ve never even had to sew him and he is with me nearly 24 hours a day now. I know you will love him forever. Good luck.
