Hello!
Very excited to announce my Abena Abri Form L4 diapers came in, have to say they are kind hard to get on I am a 48 waist and they dont seem to quite be big enough for me around despite the packaging saying 44 to 60. Had to use some tape for a good seal. Any advice for me, I was thinking maybe should I try the pull up version to see if I like the fit better?
Pull ups generally fit worse and have much worse capacity than tape diapers.
I have found that the waist sizing is not always accurate as hip and leg size are not always accounted for. I have some junk in my trunk and have a harder time getting pants that are not too tight around the crotch. Same thing with diapers. Might need to give a few brands a try to see if there is one that fits better.
It might go without saying that pull-ups won’t provide nearly the same protection or coverage as a diaper, but if you like the idea of wearing pull-ups specifically (and go into it without expecting the functional equivalent of a diaper), I would go for it. Regarding size, I don’t know about your exact measurements, but I will say that Abena’s pull-ups do seem to be useable for people at the upper end of the size range. My fiancée has a big butt and hips, and wears large-size diapers, but can consistently fit comfortably into medium Abena M3 pull-ups.
Thanks for the tips! I wish there was an ABDL outlet where you can go and buy single diapers to try them on and then buy what you like. Lol… Hmmm that gives me an idea for a story. :3
I’m a 46 inch waste and Abena Abri Form L4 fit me well. I do think Abena are larger fitting than most nappies, especially Molicare. I think you may need to find XL nappies. In the U.K. Attends do a very good plastic XL nappy.
Several of the ABDL shops sell singles and 2pks. Buying like that online though is very expensive per diaper due to shipping. Diaper Conneseur is a good online example.
You could order samples from places like abu or if you happen to live close to and abdl store
I can’t attest to the sizing when it comes to Abena’s pull-ups, but I can attest to their quality being among the better pull-ups on the market.
