When I used to be on adisc years ago I’d always search high and low for tips on how to sleep with a paci, but to no avail…I just didn’t know how to do it, I managed it once heard ago and still to this day I dont know how
Well after I made that post about finding out my friend used pacis too I was literally in paci heaven, so I just decided to sleep with it…and I woke up in the morning still with the paci in my mouth! So I did it again the next night, and again, and again…and now its friday morning and I’ve still got it in my mouth
I’ve slept all week with a paci and I have no idea how it’s worked my teeth are gunna be in agony but it was worth it
I’m the same it has to be within reason cause of hiding it from my family and stuff, which is why I’m so shocked I managed to go a week nonstop sleeping with it without any problems it was just so random
love my pacifier. Re discovered it several months ago. The adult version is SO .uch than the ones I would occasionally get at work or the local stores. The original just at night quickly evolved to when ever I’m alone. Driving, home alone, bedtime, bathtime. All are fair game. surprisingly, I am more relaxed, my migraines have abated a bit, I was able to taper down my migraine and anxiety meds and even lost a bit of weight. I dont think she will be going away anytime soon. There is truth to sleeping like a baby
I can sleep pretty well with pacifier staying in my mouth for the whole night, either a baby one or an adult one. I was even surprised at myself that I got used to it that quick. Also I tend to use my mouth to breathe during sleep, using pacifier makes me breathe with my nose so when I wake up my mouth will not be too dry.
The drawback is also quite clear, my teeth always suffer when I wake up. But yeah the babyish feeling and good sleep far outweigh this little pain!
I use my dummy during the day and especially when I sleep. I never lose it . Must be sucking on it throughout sleep. I sleep ever so well with it and not at all without it.
Are you using a baby sized paci or an adult one? I’ve found that if I use a baby one, my teeth are killing me since it doesn’t help me with my TMJ (in fact it makes it worse!). Adult sized pacis help me with my TMJ though since I clench my jaw and a proper sized paci prevents that for me. It could either be the baby paci or if it’s an adult paci it could be that you aren’t used to having something in your mouth while you sleep so you unconsciously clench your jaw. That will go away with time (it did for me).
So I have a couple of adult sized pacifiers and decided to try them at night this week. The objective is to help me not snore. So for the past four nights I have slept with it all night long. What surprised me is how easy it was to keep it in all night long, waking it up with suction still holding it in. I really think it helped curb my snoring a lot.
I the same I used a pacifier for so many years that I will never sleep with out it I even need it in the day. I even have a pacifier in my work clothes just in case I have to use one.
8 hours is the most I can go with out my pacifier but most of the time it’s just 4 hours
