So I got a sample pack of diapers so 2 diapers and i was wondering if there is any way i could re where them if only worn for short amounts of time like maybe 30 minutes at a time and i didn’t use the bathroom in them. If so could i fasten them back up with Velcro or something?
please no hate its just im curious and dont know were else to ask.
also hiding 2 is hard enough and buying 2 at a time is just wasting money compared to the packs of 10
Diapers aren’t usually meant to be re-fastened - you’ll probably want to cut the tapes and re-tape it for each wearing with something like packing tape, or look into hook-and-loops like ABU’s BunnyHops or DinoRawrZ.
Alternatively, you might want to look into cloth all-in-one diapers - if you’re not looking at wetting, they can provide a similar experience and will hold up better over time.
Do you know what kind of diapers are in your sample pack? Like others have said, it shouldn’t matter as long as you don’t use them, or sweat a lot in them.
I also don’t know what your access to quality ABDL diapers is like, but I think CVS brand’s “maximum” absorbency briefs also have Velcro tapes if you have no other options. If you do have even a little money to spare, there are a ton of great high-quality Velcro diapers to be ordered on the internet, like ABU Bunnyhopps or Dinorawrs, Rearz Barnyard/Elite Hybrid, or any number of cloth diapers. You asked if they are cute; there certainly are cute ones to be found! (I don’t have any quite like this, so I’ll let someone else recommend a specific diaper!) Good luck!
As long as the diaper isn’t messy or wet (which could be from sweat or pee), there shouldn’t be any problem with reusing a diaper.
The only problem could be the tapes. If the tapes are a ‘second chance’ type, just use the second chance part. If not, your best bit is duct tape or packing tape.
I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with a thread labeled “Is this gross?” and I’m not sure what that says about me that I just had to look. It seems to me that your desire/need to rewear your unused diapers isn’t only practical, but in your situation, it’s also frugal and shows environmental sensitivity. One of the posts referenced that you may have sweated in your diaper but unless you were doing so profusely I wouldn’t think it would present a problem. There have been posts in other threads about people thinking of reusing wetted and/or soiled diapers at which point they need to be stopped but I would think you’re well within the range of acceptable behavior. Hope your university experience gets back to normal soon. Stay padded, new or recycled…just not used!
Consider taping the top a bit loose and sliding the diaper down like regular underwear. Works for me when I am wearing at home and I need to go out for a bit. Good luck ! I hope you find something that works !
I would second what others have said about cloth diapers, they’re comfortable and snug, and you can find lots of very cute patterns if you look around online. Search for “pocket diapers” and you’re bound to find some good ones. Rearz has some with cute prints on.
So the biggest issue would be the tapes not sticking/ tearing the plastic shell when undoing. Also diapers will absorb sweat as well so just be careful not to get a rash.
Also, while not an AIO cloth diaper, these are pretty cute and cost effective if you want to save money. Washing cloth diapers has given me trouble tho.
if you’re otherwise healthy and don’t expel any waste in to them i see no issues. I often wear the same unused diaper 3 or 4 days on work nights before soiling it on the weekend.
Disposable diapers aren’t very durable. (some are much worse than others) Depending on your activity and sweating, they may only really survive 6 hrs or less each.
Don’t try to untape and retape unless they’re velcro. You’ll ruin the tapes quickly. Try to tape just medium tightness, and carefully pull them down like pullups for reuse.
If you’re OK with cloth diapers, especially pull-on training pants, those would be a much better route for you to go. BabyPants has great thick trainers.
