I think the simplest thing Diaper Mfg’s could do to change the look of today’s diapers is to make both tapes white. Why has no one tried doing that? Or maybe someone has that I don’t know about.
Probably to make it easier for carers, and wearers with poorer eyesight… it makes it obvious where you need to get hold of the outer tape to remove it.

yes, I would agree for mainline brands, but what about our niche mfg’s?
I guess so, but most ABDL nappies probably come from slightly adapted production runs of medical incontinence nappies.

They should be pink instead. 
The disposable ones we get are like that (Primarily use cloth now, but keep some of those around - it helps if we are going to be out all day, or if I am in the hospital over night [the diapers the hospital has just plain don’t sit right, WAY too big!], ex.) - the different colors doe seem to make things easier on my wife, nurses, ex.
