If you could meet a celebrity...who?

For me, it’d be Anissa Jones, who played “Buffy” on Family Affair. I’d just turned two and was still in diapers when I first saw her; she was almost 11 then but was 8 in the scene where she first caught my eye…she was devastatingly adorable with her bright eyes, sweet smile and trademark pigtails…and I slam-dunk fell for her instantly. I wanted to hug her, give her a kiss so badly then…and I still think she’s the most-adorable little girl ever born…excepting my daughter & granddaughters, of course. I have a couple pix of her, even bought her autograph on a 3x5 card like they handed out at meet-n-greets. It’s hers, certified.

Plus…if I did meet her, I’d give her a big, gentle hug, probably even cry and tell her how sorry I was that her childhood was utterly destroyed. Then I’d ask to give her a small kiss on her cheek, smile through a tear or two and tell her “thank you” before we went our separate ways.:hugging:

Over the years I myself have met in-person:

Actor Nicholas Courtney (Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart on DOCTOR WHO)

Actor James Doohan (“Scotty” on STAR TREK: The Original Series)

Actress Nichelle Nichols (“Uhura” on STAR TREK: The Original Series)

Actor Michael Dorn (“Worf the Klingon” on STAR TREK: The Next Generation and STAR TREK: Deep Space Nine)

Actor Robert Englund (“Freddy Krueger”, Nightmare on Elm Street Horror Films)

I would like to meet Jordan Speith, the professional golfer. He is very down to earth and an awesome golfer. He also has a special needs sister that he is very close to. I would actually like to meet both of them together.

Hmm I am not celeb crazy, but I would like to meet a couple of youtubers, in my generation, gen z

youtubers, bloggers, etc some have celebrity status to us, so its not to much of a reach to name a youtuber lol

I would love to meet Jenna Marbles, she brought so much laughter in my life <3

Also she literally seems like a very genuine person, even called herself out for problematic jokes in her past.

Unlike other youtubers who played the victim card, pretty much everyone agreeds Jenna was actually sorry <3

and I can respect that

plus she so funny <3

Id love to meet Joe Rogan. I have been a fan of his since the 90s. His podcast has been incredibly motivating and inspirational to me. I have learned so much more about technology, astronomy, diet, exercise and psychology since listening to his podcast. Hes become more informative and unbiased than any mainstream media organization today. I could fan boy out and pick his brain for hours!

Even though I definitely have a set of favorite celebrities (mostly musicians, plus maybe a couple of favorite actors or politicians), I actually feel like I am OK without ever getting to meet them personally— I’d be afraid of being starstruck and acting like an idiot in front of them! Plus, they say “never meet your heroes” for good reason…

That said, I did get to meet and speak briefly with Bono when I was 11 years old. I know that people often make fun of him or consider him pompous, but he was incredibly friendly and genuine with me and I’ll never forget that.

I’d still would’ve loved to meet Anissa. For all I learned about her, she didn’t want to be a celebrity and only wanted to be an ordinary kid, despite her hyperKaren mom. Anissa was actually relieved to get out when she did, due to her achieving the age when Hollywood begins to objectify girl celebrities, such as what happened with Erin Moran, et al. Oddly enough, child celebrities are treated like pariahs by their peers in the ordinary LA world.

That and his excellent quote in the first Jurassic Park.

I’d want to sit down with him for a few hours and watch through “The Fly” with his commentary

Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan

Go to the right places at the right times - it’s pretty easy.

The real issue is in a way they would actually remember you years later. But just meeting them and maybe chatting for 5mins or so…I’ve done that - with lots of actors from the Star Trek series (Org, TNG, and Enterprise).

I would like to meet Don Henley. He is my Idol and my favorite of all time. I would also like to meet Stevie Nick’s. I used to be and still am so very crazy in love with her.

I already shook the hand of Chuck Norris when I was 8. He seemed to be a nice enough guy.

I know this is crazy and he’s probably not a celerity, but I’d like to meet Jonny, the Anime Wolf Boy. I love the way he sings “All I Want” as it really touches me.

I’ve met lots of celebrities, usually don’t have much to say to be honest. I use to work concerts and worked with various artists. Try to have a plan on what exactly you want to say to someone you want to meet, think of things to ask, stuff like that. Remember they are only people just like you.

He is. My dad spent a few weeks with Chuck and his entourage from Golan-Globus Films in the Philippines back in 1986, after the Marcoses were exiled and Corazon Aquino took control. My dad was part of the RJReynolds entourage, setting up a plane for their Camel ad shoots; the two groups were put together by the US Embassy due to terrorism & kidnappings in the PI at the time. Dad had loads of stories to tell, even got a photo-op with Chuck and his autograph. He’s proud of that event.

Kate Phillips. I think she’s spectacular.

Honestly, anyone who is a decent person. The biggest celebrity I really know is Jaynautic (I won’t say his real name). He is a YouTuber with 40k subscribers who I used to go to school with. I’ve met a couple more famous people, but can’t remember their names. If I had to pick anyone though, it would have to be a voice actor for a cartoon I like. Watching these people do their voices is incredibly amusing to me.
