I’m scared I might start wetting the bed!

During these crazy times I have started to wear more and more. I mainly wear at night because that is the only time I have alone and I can wear while I sleep. I do use them. Always for 1, not recently for 2 and I have stopped doing 3 in them to lessen the binge purge cycle(and it has been working pretty well).

I have been practicing more positions to wet, mostly laying down. And it has worked, and maybe too well. I have noticed that laying down and now trying to sleep with ought a diaper I am more aware of Needing to pee and almost have to focus on holding it. I am not trying to start wetting the bed however, should I be concerned that I may start wetting the bed unexpectedly? Anyone who has started to wet the bed what was your point of no return where you either had to stop or accept bed wetting?

have a great day and stay safe!

Although I love to wear diapers and indulge in wetting them. I don’t overindulge, usually I just wear one a day then I’m done wearing. I don’t wear diapers for more then 3-5 times a week. I thought I almost undid my potty training when I decided to wear for three consecutive days. But my badder is strong so..

I started wetting the bed again in my late 40’sand just accepted it.I’m never dry at night now.

I started wearing every night to bed. i have cut out the every night and will only do no more than two nights in a row.

i find that as long as I wake at night when I wet my diaper I don’t have any issues when I’m not diapered. Other than having to get out of bed to pee.

I have said this in another thread before, but I think it is relevant here too:

I once went to a three-week summer camp where I had my own room. I really went crazy satisfying my DL desires, bought a ton of diapers, wearing, wetting, etc. At one point, I kind of trained to wet at night. At first, I would wake up in the morning needing to pee and force myself to do it laying there in the diaper. This turned into half-waking up and peeing only semi-consciously. (A note, they weren’t very good diapers, so I would leak out the back. I bought absorbent bed mats to catch leaks, which kind of worked but sometimes it leaked outside of those too) I forget if I ever got to the point of just waking up wet, I may or may not have. However, if I did, it was only a few days, near the end of camp. I also forget if I interlaced this with dry nights without any diapers. When I got back home, nighttime diapers stopped completely and I did not have any trouble with bedwetting. If I did build any bedwetting habits (which I question if I actually did), I strongly associated them with the diapers and I guess was able to stop when I stopped consistently wearing them.

This is to say, I kind of bedwet for a short while, and maybe not completely. That is how I was able to get back to being dry at night so quickly. It seems that I associated bedwetting only with diapers, and only built a moderate condition (maybe, quite likely not even full bedwetting, depending on my memory).

you will not become incontinent or start to suffer from Nocturnal enursis by deliberately wetting your nappy at night. what you are doing is weakening certain muscles which help control voiding. And is also the reason you are experiencing problems holding. The easiest solution is to start a course of Kegel or pelvic floor exercise to keep those muscles exercised. Kegel is the best option as it also helps strenghten the abdominal muscles.

Lately since I’m home all the time, I’ve been wearing diapers more often & for longer periods of time. I also wet them more often & usually multiple times. Usually the first time I kind of have to work at it. After that it comes much easyer almost with out control. I don’t wear them at night, but began to wonder what might happen if I did (that’s probably why I don’t wear them at night.)

What made you start wetting the bed?

Would it be fair to say that wetting whenever I want is more the problem than the position? I would guess that deliberately wetting might help, instead of going whenever. But maybe it is the position?

Yes. Deliberately wetting isn’t going to cause any loss of control (in fact, I’d argue it’s giving you more control being able to pee in circumstances you couldn’t before). Training yourself to wet unconsciously is where you may run in to issues, but even then it’s going to be on the order of years.

As far as your observation about being more aware of needing to pee when not wearing, my experience has been that that feeling was mostly just in my head. On days when I didn’t wear, I’ve found that holding it for a bit (not to the point of discomfort or anything) can help recalibrate my sense of what a full bladder (as opposed to a bladder with just enough to dribble a bit more into a diaper) feels like.

When you train your self to pee while laying down and you release and then fall asleep you can be training your self to be a bed wetter when diapered and that can over time turn into wettings happening even when not diapered. Once you start to experience nocturnal wettings it will be harder to stop wetting the bed.

The more you pee in bed the quicker your body will adapt and you will find your self to be a real bed wetter.

Maybe take break once or twice a week.

I used to have to wake up at night and pee. But now I don’t wake up at all. And thus the bedwetting happens

Hi how is it going?

Ive gotten to the point where I can wet my diapers at night if i do it consistently, but ive never really wet the bed undiapered. Once i woke up after having a little spurt but not enough to do any damage, it could have happened to anybody.

I have been wearing nappies at night only for 3/4 years. I do so to obtain a good nights sleep, going to the toilet wakes me completely and it is difficult to get back to sleep. Recently I had to curtail this practice for 7 nights. I had no problems at all in awaking and having to go to the toilet. I have occasionally gone without a nappy for a day or two with no problem.

I’m not really worried, at worse you may have an accident if you often pee half awake and you don’t recall that you may not have a diaper on that particular morning.

True bedwetting, wetting while sleeping, is quite difficult to just happen suddenly.
