What’s your diaper ritual? How do you put on your diaper? Do you use baby powder or anything else? When do you change?
Never use Baby powder,
always change when lying on my Back,
Lower Right Tape first, then lower left,
then top right, top left.
Always control leak guards standing up,
and folding diaper in the middle before
changing.
always on my back, nappy cream never talk. Position so I’m in the middle, pull up front , right lower tape, left lower tape, left upper tape, right upper tape.
The more times you do it the easier it gets
I do mine standing up only takes a couple of minutes with practice you get to know where the tapes go
Well I’m a Goodnites/Drynites person, so I just pull them up and then I’m done.
I almost always change standing up, generally use powder if given the opportunity, and will change whenever I feel like it’s necessary, which depends on the specific circumstances.
Generally my standing up process is: Remove old diaper, clean up with wipes, stick wipes inside old diaper, roll it up and toss it. If I’m going to use powder, I’ll lean back slightly and sprinkle it all over my skin in the front and rub it in with one hand, then lean forward and do the same in the back. Finally, I’ll sprinkle a little directly on my hand and rub it in around my inner thighs and where the leg openings of the diaper will be, then clean the powder off my hand with a wipe or towel.
For applying the new diaper, right hand holds the front and left hand holds the back. I’ll pull it up and get the front and back even, then use my right forearm to hold the front up while the left hand slides around from the back to bring the wing with the tapes in range of my right hand. I’ll stick the top tape, then slide my hands around to the other side and do the top tape on the other side. Then I run fingers down the leg openings to make sure the leak guards are fluffed out while also shifting around to make sure the diaper settles in a natural position. Then smooth the front wing under the back wing and do the lower tape on one side and repeat the process for the other side. Bend knees slightly and flex legs apart, run fingers along the leak guards again to spread the bottom of the diaper out, then scoot the leak guards back up my legs so that the diaper forms a V shaped channel in the middle. Add a onesie and/or pants if necessary and it’s done.
On the floor with powder on and with my stuffed animal beside me.

Several hours before changing I will set out the diaper I want to use and allow it to naturally expand.
The procedure itself:
Spread out the diaper and make sure the leak guards are good.
Lay the diaper on my bed.
Lay down on the diaper.
Pull diaper up and center back to front.
Apply waist tabs.
Apply leg tabs.
I don’t use creams or powder when wearing diapers.
I love the feeling of slipping the diaper under my butt and getting ready to fasten it all on good and snug. Usually fastening the two leg tapes first then the two upper ones…Love feeling it so snug and thick…Then finish it off with a plastic diaper cover.
Usually on my back, as well. I only very rarely use powder, mostly when I’m right out of the shower.
