How to keep male "plumbing" lined up to prevent leaks?

I’m a guy who recently began wearing most of the time and I have noticed I sometimes have issues with my genitalia moving off center in my diaper, potentially causing leaks when wetting because the urine is directed off to the side instead of in the middle where the absorbent material is. I had a Northshore Megamax leak on me in bed last night during the first wetting due to this issue. The urine went straight to the right side of my diaper, ran under the side tapes, and then leaked out the top of the back of the diaper. Fortunately my disposable bed pad saved the sheets, but I know a Megamax should survive more than one wetting, especially because my bladder wasn’t even that full. I once saw somewhere online that in Japan they fold a booster pad in a cone shape around the penis which I tried and it seemed to work but it creates an enormous bulge in the front that isn’t terribly comfortable so it’s not my first choice of solutions.

  1. point down. It was uncomfortable for me at first (sometimes still is), but eventually I trained myself to do it.

  2. fold the diaper in half lengthwise and put a crease down the middle. The V shaped channel created by that will help keep everything centered.

  3. maybe try a stiffer diaper like northshore supreme. Less absorbency, but the padding holds its shape quite strongly if you use the folding method.

I understand exactly what you mean. I am not incontinent so I am lucky enough to wake up a bit in the night when I need to pee, I always have to reach down and make sure I am on my back and my diddly do is pointing down; or else it will likely just leak out the side.

I’ve thought about putting booster pads on the sides…

One of the benefits of being small, I very rarely ever have to adjust myself.

Regardless, I still pretty much follow what irnub says; I always fold in a crease and have never had an issue with leaks.

Relatable! I’m not incontinent so I need to be awake to relieve myself. I also reach down to make sure I’m lined up correctly. I’ve come close to leaking and it’s always because I’m not lined up in the center. Folding the diaper length wise is really important to prevent leaking at least for me. After the night I usually examine the absorbency pattern to see how close to the edges it was. Yes the stiffer the diaper the better it holds the shape.

good advice. Also consider a diaper with better standing leak guards (like betterdry/crinklz), it doesn’t help A LOT but there is some added benefit.

Adjusting the lower tapes may help also. Try fitting them tighter around your leg. or if you’re aiming the tapes inward or in and up, try instead to angle in and down so the tapes are working more to wrap around your leg rather than to tighten around your hip.

Though honestly I think your biggest issue is likely the abve #2 point, make sure the centerline of the croch of your diaper isn’t folding upward, either in the middle, or immediately in the back. Try to get the middle to fold outward and form an open space that urine can freely flow through to get to the back padding, so if you do “spray” the left or right side by chance, it doesn’t pool there and have to spend time slowing wickng into the back - you’ll leak until the water level goes down.

I’m having that issue too, this is very annoying as it leaves one side of the padding dry.

Those who say to point down, isn’t that what we already do to get the middle or rear section wet?

Besides, pointing up when sitting can lead to wet spots on your clothing anyway o.o

I fold the V center gut but when I sit down or bend over, it shifts anyway to a sharp left, no crease will help in that case :frowning:

Diddly do. lol! Funny as hell!

It helps to wear pants with a low-rise crotch, so your diaper V isn’t forced to make a choice between the left or right pant leg (OR just crush up the V and turn it into a W)

Well I guess I am incontinent at night aka, I’m a real bedwetter. Anyhow, I point it myself down when I put on my diaper, I also use a gerber flat fold infant diaper folded into a triangle, inserted facing down into my diaper. And another one folded in thirds under my belly. With this kit, I very really leak, and I think I pee multiple times each night. Cotton is really good at wicking and absorbing quickly. In the morning, I take the cloth diaper into the shower with me and rinse them out.

As a former bedwetter i always point down , in fact i’ve never pointed up before , i also fold the diaper a bit so it forms a V shape .

I guess I’m lucky that I’m small enough that it points straight forward. So when he pees

it goes into the front and not out the legs.

We all shouldn’t be confused as to why pointing down may be unusual or even painful to some: If you’re toilet-trained, not incon’ and male then it doesn’t matter how you put your ‘equipment’ into your underwear, I’m also going to say (that) from anatomical stance-point alone (that) I think if an infant male was nappied pointing up that there wouldn’t be an problem, this is because I don’t think adult nappies have ever been a true size-up (if you will) of baby nappies, the material stop-point would need to be half-way between the belly-button and the nipples to work for …well …every wetting!

As well as what people have said put your nappy on a bit tighter. I only mention tightness as for me nappies are sexual and tightness can stop excitement-induced ‘wandering’. I always point down but don’t think I’ve ever wetted straight down the centre / middle, as I said due to excitement etc.!

Lastly it’s quite an extreme measure and causes quite a bulk but it wouldn’t surprise me if bed-wetters who are also sexual with nappies do this so ‘everything’ is always pointing down but you could get a cage for your ‘equipment’ …annoyingly they’re mainly only framed in a kinky way or a really awful Chr*stian chastity way currently but they do exist.

Most of the time I stand up out of the bed on my mat push my man thing down and pee then lay back down again and go back to sleep. Sometimes I just let my diaper leak on purpose and soak my onesie and bed just sleep in my cold pee makes me feel so little

Exactly my issue as well :disappointed_relieved:

I have found that an added booster pad tends to make a “cup” around my dicklet, which always points down btw.

A pee-pee-cage can keep the thingy pointing in the right direction, but it takes some time to make such a thing fit properly, and not all guys find it comfortable.

Duck tape.

Saw this in another blog.

Has anybody tried them? Maybe they would keep you “straight and narrow”

When my nocturnal ic started it was not usually enough to leak from a disposable even pointing up providing I had an old cloth Nappy folded around and the disposable tucked into the top, osoon after perfecting that it soon became on many occasions I would wake to a very wet bed and something sticking out of the top of the disposable and Plastic pants !

It took many years of folding a cloth Nappy just right and whilst pointing up putting a plastic bag over both my manhood and the folded Nappy making a top leak much more unlikely, as the years have gone by my Kidneys are now just going 24/7 and much more absorbant disposables are required and pointing up is a real challenge now.

So this year I have been training myself to point down and yes it can be unpleasant and on one occassion downright painfull (woody) so now my nightime attire is four microfibre Nappies with three folded to be about three inches wide rolled at both edges lengthways to provide a sort of “V” where my manhood goes tucked right back and the fourth is folder length ways into a quarter width then run across my front yo catch anything thst dos flow forward as I tend to lay on my front and that towel wicks any excess into the disposable and so far it is working for me well.

It is a bit of a fiddle and fuss getting everything just right but there are very few instances of wet beds.

I just tuck myself back been my butt cheeks and keep it in place with a tight inner pull up with slits to allow pee to get into the outer diapered over it, age and ED help keep it there all night or daytime.
