Hey there
I’m sort of a newbie on all this diaper thing. It has been awesome. I am willing to try new experiences. I have been wondering how is the experience of pooing in a diaper. Any advice? Best brands to control the odor?
Well personally, I never poop on a diaper, that’s weird. I poop in them!
Joking aside, it’s something you should try if you’re interested in it and then judge for yourself whether or not you like it. Some people have a block for going the first time, since our bodies are not used to going without that area being exposed / on a toilet, so it might take a bit to get used to it. Cleanup isn’t fun, but it’s also not bad once you get the hang of it. My advice would be do what you’re comfortable with, have fun, and use a mixture of wipes/a shower to clean up afterwards. As for brands, I’d say most ABDL diapers have about the same level of odor control, but it’s still quite noticeable. If you really want to reduce smell, some plastic pants or other type of snug fitting diaper cover will moderately reduce odor.
Don’t force it…I think that’s how I got my inguinal hernia way back when. Do your best to relax, let it come naturally then hold gentle abdominal pressure while relaxing your sphincter. Relax, don’t force, don’t be in a hurry…once it comes out and into your diaper, you’ll wonder why you hurried, even as little as you did, LOL!

Or just wait until you have to poo. You’ll be fighting some first-timer’s nerves regardless, but it’s best if that’s all you’re fighting.
Ouch. I’m a member of that unfortunate club as well. Still a bit uncomfortable down there, even with the repairs, and even years later. Yeah… Hernias ain’t no kinda fun.
Generally speaking, I will only have a bowel movement in the am, so at night when I’m diapered we also use desitin cream to prevent a rash, like what others say don’t force it, when the time comes to do it just go, no need to get all hyped up or anything.
After it’s done and over with, it’s best to change within 30mins, for me I just wipe off as much as I can with the existing diaper then jump into the shower for a full clean up.
I do get changed by my fiancée to, and she’ll occasionally do a messy diaper, her method is using baby wipes, but it also helps that I keep myself groomed / shaved in my groin region, so clean up is way easier then if your hairy down below
I don’t do it, I only pee in mine. I tried it once and didn’t like it, not worth the hassle of cleaning. As far as smell not much will hide the smell of poop.
Messing is hit-or-miss for some of us. I seldom do it; when I do do it (as it were), it usually ends up reminding me why I don’t do it more often. In terms of how it’s done, it’s like wetting: it gets easier the more you do it. But you might find it’s not for you, and that’s totally okay as well!
Lots of glade spray when done and a smell proof bag (like bos) when disposing oh forgot to mention lots of wipes(especially in the beginning) it can get quite messy as mentioned in the previous posts!
I’ve only done it once and hope I never do again. What I did was a bit different. After expelling most of an enema, but know there was still more to come, I put a clean diaper on and finished expelling the enema into it while sitting on the toilet seat. The experience was enough to let me know I didn’t want to ever poop in a diaper. Regardless, I rarely have a regular bowel movement as I give myself enemas often enough (almost daily) I never develop a normal stool.
If you want to mess your diaper, my suggestion is to sit on the toilet when you have the urge. With luck, “assuming the position” on the toilet seat will tell your mind you’re ready to poop and your mind will allow it.
The time I did it I had no,problem pooping, I just pushed like normal when standing. I just didn’t care for the cleanup that followed.
Same here not one for the clean up part
When you start out wanting to mess, start with taking fiber. Your poo will need to be soft so it’s easier to mess.
The more you mess, the easier it will get and also caffeine makes me mess too so it keeps me from getting constipated.
I remember the times where I said “Why did I do this?!”, but I still enjoy the occasional mess.
My suggestion…
Pick a day or time that feels right, when you got no other stresses going on and are just able to chill and relax. You should feel 100% comfortable, no tiredness, no dehydration, no irritability and no proccessed foods in your stomach!
So if you come home from a hard day of work, thinking of the next day still, after eating garbage for lunch and think you will wind down by messing in a diaper it will not be enjoyable.
I choose a day off I know I will be undisturbed (Saturday?). A whey protein shake with plenty of berries for breakfast, a fiber one bar and/or a bowl of raisin bran. A laxative at your volition, maybe, and just chill.
Cleanups? Yeah for me they aren’t too bad anymore. I used to be overweight with bad foods in my stomach and it was gross. Clean up in the shower and when your finished use some Ajax with bleach to clean the bottom of the tub if you are a tenant or have guests (common courtesy).
Also, scrub under your fingernails well!
Same here, doc said I wouldn’t feel anything after but if I sleep on my belly I still feel it in the morning, 6 years later o.o
Mine was caused from trying to force emptying a bladder with acute atonic bladder after the docs didn’t know how to treat it right away.
Drink plenty of water and take a fiber supplement tablet if your diet doesn’t contain enough soluble and insoluble fibers.
These work slow so expect the stools to become softer after 6 to 8h. Then just relax, if problematic, assume squat position.
This is a much healthier way than using laxatives because those can constipate you after while fiber won’t.
Best way is a well balanced diet but admitted it’s not always convenient.
I started out by going in my pants as a teen. I really don’t know what inspired me to do it for the first time, but I pretty quickly realized it was something I greatly enjoyed doing. I do believe that it’s something you either love or hate…I don’t know if I’ve ever heard stories of people learning to love it, most of the time it’s just people trying it and realizing they’re not that into it. If you want to do it, then do it. If you’re hesitant, odds are you probably won’t like it.
I’ve never taken any manner of laxative and definitely not any sort of enema. I prefer to do it 100% natural, but that likely depends on how your body works: I’ve always been able to poop quickly and efficiently (that is to say, I’ve never had to take a magazine into a bathroom with me). That helps me a lot with being able to go in a diaper, plus I also had about five years of occasional underwear-filling experience before I ever bought my first pack, so my body was just naturally acclimated to it.
I don’t know how much brands have to do with controlling the smell. So many people try to propose different solutions to managing or even eliminating the smell, but you need to realize that’s it’s still poo: it’s gonna be stinky no matter what. If the smell is that big of an issue, try substituting it with squishy foods, otherwise do it in a well-ventilated room, don’t stay in it for too long and be sure to have air freshener and scented trash bags on hand.
Make sure you’ve got a decent taped nappy, I wouldn’t recommend pooing in pull-ups. It’s easier if you haven’t been for a poo for a day or so you are more desperate. It’s easier if your in stooping position like when sitting on loo. If in bed I find it easier to bring knees up. Avoid sitting as the surface your on will stop it coming out easily. You may like the feeling of sitting in it once you’ve gone but just remember it makes changing a lot messier. I have never found a nappy that controls the odor of poo any better than any others so be aware of the pong if going in public. If you do have to go when out it’s easier if you can wait til get home to change as it’s easier if you’ve got access to a shower. Unless you’re lucky enough to have a firm poo it’s gonna be really messy which is the bit I don’t like about going in my nappy. I normally use the clean area of the nappy to wipe the worse off then jump in the shower. If no shower you’ll just have to use paper and baby wipes but be prepared for a 20min clean up and make sure you’ve got plenty of wipes. Also the smell is usually really bad so be aware if in shared toilets. Put used paper and wipes inside nappy before rolling up. It’s best to have a spare plastic bag with you to wrap it in to reduce the smell.
Hope your first big accident goes well and enjoy!
I haven’t done this myself for at least a couple of years (clean-up is too inconvenient). Plus (as I explain below) it’s too much work.
Also, I haven’t bought diapers since the late 90 to early 2000s when I was small enough to fit in and use goodnites (and they were still plain white).
After that, I would improvise one myself out of underwear, paper towels, occasionally bath towels, or sometimes a combination. Then I would put a couple of holes in the corner of a tall kitchen garbage bag and slowly pull the bag up like a pair of pants. If I did it correctly, and had some luck on my side this would (at least sometimes) work. If I pulled it up too quickly, though the bag would rip and I would need to start over with a new bag. I didn’t use pins or Velcro. I would just hold the whole thing in place with one or more pairs of underwear. The only significant downside I have noticed with this set up is that it sometimes causes the elastic waistband in the underpants to fail earlier than usual (especially if I use multiple pairs to hold everything in place).
In any case, after I have done all of that several approaches work. They all boil down to waiting until you have to go and then going. Finding the right position also helps. For me, the most effective positions are 1.Standing up straight 2.Standing up, knees slightly bent or 3. Squatting down. Starting at the wall or off into the distance while squatting often helps. This last method is (most likely) how the vast majority of us did it back in the day.
Also, during childhood, most of us heard the phrase “never force a fart” (or something similar). The idea behind that advice is to prevent this outcome. If you do the opposite of that you will probably get the results you are looking for.
It usually just happens, maybe one or two times a day. I have to make sure I am prepared for a cleanup. Often I get reminded by the smell or by someone else that smells it.
As others have touched on, you just have to let it happen. Don’t force it. The only thing I would do ahead of time is have a clean-up plan in-place well ahead of time. Dealing with the after-effects is never fun, but if you know it will be managed, you can relax more in the moment.
