How do you deal with sweating in diapers?

I work in a stud farm and it is very hard work (cleaning stables, storing dung, bathe horses, shine boots, etc), so I am always very sweaty, especially in my diapers, as I have severe urinary incontinence and I have to wear thick diapers and plastic pants 24/7. How do you deal with sweating in diapers?

A lot of baby powder! But on a more helpful note: Do you need to wear the plastic pants during the day? I feel an easy solution would be to forgo the plastic pants during the day and go for cotton backed diapers. The only real drawback would be that they don’t hide odour as well.

I’ve tried not to use pants plastic, but the chances of I leak are 50% higher. And yes, they help to hide the mixture of sweat, urine and “horse”.

Better diapers …

I use BetterDry / Crinklz without a liner ( or cover ) with out issues … and yes, I’m physically active during the day .

One diaper lasts me 6 - 8 hours … and yes, I have frequent bladder voids .

Gold bond medicated powder, or Johnson’s medicated powder

Baby powder usually helps. I don’t work a real labor-intensive job, though. As mentioned above, I have heard rave reviews about Gold Bond Powder.

So one of the things that you do to help other then powder and frequent changes is the type of wipes you use while cleaning, I think tena (found at northshore care) has a wipe that will clean, but also is anti-fungal, there is also a cleansing spray that is anti-fungal. Fungus is a very natural occurrence and can cause a range of issues from minor skin redness, to itchiness, to a full on rash depending on the person. Making time for yourself to “air out” is also important, if that means sitting outside naked with a towel or un-taped diaper under you, so be it, you skin needs to have dry time to.

Not outside much myself - but as pointed out, powder - also, a disposable diaper but a really absorbent one (lots of times call “Over Night”, “All through the night”, ex.), nothing super cheap, change more frequently, that’s about all I can think of.

You may also think about the use of a condom catheter. At the end it depends hardly on how often and how much you lose. For me it’s a bit more relaxed, because I can use in many situations a pad, but at the end it’s a question of acceptable changing intervals and the amount you loss with an episode. I wouldn’t recommend the use of powder or thick plastic diapers. Maybe you find some belt style diapers - these give much more comfort on warm days

It makes sense, but I can’t stop several times a day to change my diapers. Thanks to my severe incontinence, I am always wet. In addition, we work under constant supervision and have to achieve daily goals.

I do this on weekends, when I leave the stud farm where I work. But I can’t spend too long without diapers …
