How do you Change yourself?

When you need a change, how do you prefer to change your diaper? Do you lie down on a bed? Do you go to the bathroom and change your diaper the same as you would your big underwear? I’m curious because I want to get the best experience in wearing the diapers I bought yesterday.

Interesting. I was going to try that but I bought the pullup type diaper and I don’t if it would be practical.

9 times out of 10 I change standing against the wall. I tend to get a better fit that way.

I do it laying on my floor, this helps with positioning and getting the most snug fit :blush:

When I am at home and need to change, I always go into the bathroom and stand in the tub when I take off my diaper. I will take a quick shower for just my lower body. If I had a poopy diaper, I use the detachable shower head to clean the poop off of my bottom. Once I am all cleaned up, I will Dry off and go into the bedroom where I have a fresh diaper already opened up on the bed and I will lay on it and tape it up. Next, I put on a diaper cover and get dressed and go about my day.

I lay down on a towel in my room and put it on.

I normally get pullups so i just step into them

I usually do it on my bed sometimes I do it on the floor of my bedroom

Though it’s possible to change while lying on my bed, I’ve only done it like maybe a few times. I usually just lie on the floor and change there. If it’s a messy diaper I don’t want to get my hands dirty and grab something out of my bed on accident

It all depends on what I’m changing into. Cloth contour diapers with safety pins and plastic pants are what I usually wear. With these I prefer to lay down but have diapered standing for doctors visits. With the plastic pants it depends on whether I’m wearing snap-on or pull-up pants. When I use Abena M-4s I generally diaper leaning my tush against a wall to hold the rear of the diaper in place as I tighten the tapes sufficiently to avoid leaks. With disposables I always wear plastic pants as a safe guard against leaking and they help with odors as well. Stay padded, no matter how you get there.

Both. During the day I do it standing bc it’s quicker. At night though I can only get a good fit when laying down. I’ll either change on the floor/bed or change standing then adjust when I get in bed.

Question: for those who change laying down, do you take the old one off before you lay down or do everything laying down? I take off standing then lay down to put the fresh one on.

I almost always put on a clean one while standing against a wall, but I almost always remove a used one and clean myself while lying on my back on my bed. Depends on the circumstances, though.
