What’s the best way to keep cool in a plastic backed diaper at night in this weather. I have to wear plastic backed as I leak with the cloth backed type. I wear tenna slip
Ac and a fan.
Really no easy way to make them cooler. I know there was a thread on here a while back about freezing/chilling diapers but that will only last a short time. Don’t wear anything additional that will keep in humidity (i.e.- blankets, plastic pants etc.). Unfortunately, plastic backed diapers will always be a little uncomfortable during hot weather.
Years ago we used corn starch or baby powder to help make plastic diaper wearing a little more tolerable in hot weather. There’s not much else that can be used to ease the overheating of plastic diaper wearing.
Recommend something like this
That’s the only way I can think of.
Ice cubes in diaper might work for 5 minutes.
I sleep in an air conditioned room so a plastic diaper is ok for me…I do remember when very young there was no AC in my room and wore plastic Pampers plus a pair of plastic pants over them! It was sort of uncomfortable but its what mom put me in at night. during the day it wasnt so bad at least from what I could remember.
I made the switch to seni cloth-backed. it’s cooler hi padding and has not had a leek so fare.
I’ll second that. Powder sort of helps, but after a little bit of sweat it just cakes up and becomes useless.
Agree with this totally. If like me you don’t have the luxury of AC, a well positioned fan is your best bet. Also get rid of any duvet or blankets, just leave the mattress cover on and your pillow.
