so with all this hot weather what diapers do or would you prefer more cloth or plastic and why?
A plastic diaper and nothing else.
I don’t have much of a choice … I need high capacity diapers to deal with heavy incontinence ![]()
Only difference is I am not using a liner during the daytime, meaning I have to change more often .
Current daytime diapers are BetterDry / Crinklz
nice haven’t gotten around to trying crinkles yet
Urgh! This hot weather has been awful for my diapers! I usually need to wear a plastic diaper for my incontinence. Well, the heat and humidity have made things almost unbearable with so much sweating! The added moisture is making my diaper even heavier and sag more than usual. Have tried some cloth pull-ups, but I don’t always trust them because my incontinence is so unpredictable that they tend to leak on me. Plus wearing my plastic panties overtop is not helping matters by adding extra heat to the situation. So right now I am trying my best to just get through this heat wave - with extra diaper changes being needed more often than usual.
I would almost rather wear cloth than plastic in this heat
almost is the key word here, i dont know if i could ever buy a pack/case of cloth backed dips only because i find plastic so much better. the only downside (in my experience) was mentioned above by DiaperGuy08
Being new to DL I was kinda expecting it to be uncomfortable in the heat. Powder is my new friend. I just recently got a window AC and that’s made it much better. AC cold, diaper on, face down on bed, and no blankets! I’m very much looking forward to wearing when the colder weather comes.
I prefer plastic to cloth. Cloth just doesn’t work from my incontinence issues. I just lotion up first and use different powders together. Keeps me pretty cool in the hot weather. I keep powdering myself periodically to help with heat and moisture.
I wear Seni diapers 24/7 year round because they are cloth backed and seem to feel cooler in the summer. The only time I wear plastic backed diapers is in the winter when I go to bed. I wear the Dry 24/7 diaper as my overnight diaper in the winter because it seems to be warmer in the winter.
I always prefer the plastic diapers to cloth. If I am outside playing disc golf in the heat I’d tend to sweat in the thigh area, which if I am not wearing underwear over the diaper, has a tendency to drain down and get absorbed into my shorts. It makes it look like I leaked even though I know I didn’t since I wear MegaMax mostly. I just got some Seni Super diapers. I was thinking they weren’t as thick as they were so haven’t tried them outside quite yet. I just sleep in them so far.
I wear mostly cloth with rubber pants (like…actual classic cloth pin-on diapers not cloth backed disposables). Powder is what you’re going to want to help keep things dry and less sweaty down there.
I put it on before work and change out when I come home even if things haven’t been ‘bad’ that night. Just because you will still sweat and you wouldn’t keep on a pair of sweaty undies. XD
But yes. Generous powder rubbed around and in all your various folds. I also keep a small tube of rash ointment on me in my work bag so if I start having any kind of chafing problem. It helps reduce the irritation. (usually the chafing is with disposies…the cloth I can readjust and re-pin to keep it from bothering me.)
I prefer to wear always discreet underwear because they’re quite comfortable and breathable.
Also they absorb all the sweating and bad odors too.
I love plastic backed diapers but here in AZ, plastic is just miserable in the summer.
I prefer plastic backed (Betterdry or Crinklz) my body has adapted to being diapered 24/7 so even in the heat its not been an issue.
It’s so hot that I can’t even think straight!

I prefer plastic backer diapers like better dry tranquility. in the summer I’m wearing seni cloth-backed. with the hi padding A Rilley good diaper.
wow
I also prefer plastic backed diapers, but most the summer I wear pull-ups during the work week. On weekends I normally stay at home and wear my plastic diapers.
but wouldn’t you sweat more in a plastic diaper than a cloth bck diaper
