So I’m not working again till the 6th of April. Thinking of going 24/7 except for #2 (cant stand the small) . good idea bad idea? Any tips or suggestions. What other supplies do I need other then diapers?
well i would recommend you to make some days of not wearing.
I don’t know how fast it could get, but to become incontinent sounds like a hassle.
Would take the fun out of diapers for me if it would turn to a need instead of a happy secret little hobby ^^
But if you don’t mind the risk, maybe im totally wrong with my fears, do it if you feel like it ![]()
You will want some baby powder or some type of barrier cream to help cut back on the possibility of diaper rash. Enough diapers to make it through several changes a day depending in how often you use it. Maybe a bag of some sort of you plan to change outside of your house for any reason. I’m guessing that is not going to be an issue though. And lastly some wet wipes to clean up in between changes. I’m going on week 4 of wearing nearly 24/7 and I’m loving it. Enjoy it!
Any incontinence from it?
Well … there are reports from others of becoming permanently incontinent due to muscle atrophy when using nothing but diapers for an extended period of time … there are also MANY MANY reports of adults that intentionally try peeing in their sleep, becoming permanent bed wetters after a while .
24/7 is no small decision and for me PERSONALLY it disrupted the newness and fun of it and makes it more of a chore. But your going to want wipes, lots of good quality wipes, some good body wash ( I recommend baby bedtime j and j ) and you may want to invest in rash ointment and chaffing powder for your inside leg crease. If you plan to change immediately this shouldn’t be to much of a problem but trust me going in unprepared and you will remember it a long time.
Know the warning signs of UTI (urinary tract infection) and mabey get a babyish beach towel and cute pillow to simulate a changing area. Mabey a cute mixtape for changing if your brave enough and your best stuffy nearby.
Nope, I have noticed that certain things might trigger an urge but I can hold it if I want no problem. I also don’t exclusively use the diaper for bathroom relief so I use the toilet when possible. Now if I’m driving for a long period of time or playing games or watching a movie or busy at work I will use pretty extensively during that time then change afterwords.
I’m not trying to make myself that way. So I hold it till I need to actually go. I will wake up and usually have to get out of bed in the morning to go. I’ve only been able to go like twice in the morning while lying down and it took some effort with a full bladder. Usually as soon as I stand up I’m good and can go right away.
That seems to me like the best way to realize a 24/7
when the #1 and #2 is still a thing u control when to come or not.
i guess to me it would take out the fun of doing my #1 and #2 when it
would go uninvited whenever it could. i think i would not enjoy this because
it would feel to me like my body took me hostage or something ^^’
I’ve been 24/7 for over a year and a half now, and I still have full day and night control (except my IBS, which doesn’t count, because it’s the reason I started wearing 24/7, not the other way around). Your basic supplies, which you’ll want to carry in a bag with you, include one to two spare diapers, a small bottle of baby powder (they sell travel sizes at most grocery stores) and a pack of baby wipes. Other home supplies include diaper rash cream (just change regularly and clean yourself up well, and you should mitigate this risk) and, optionally, baby lotion. I use cheap medical diapers and change 3-4 times a day. A decent ABDL diaper shouldn’t need changing quite that frequently, but it depends on how frequently you go.
Going 24/7 is fine as long as you really are OK with the possibility of having it become permanent. I went 24/7 (wettings only) from Thanksgiving through Christmas 2019. It took me 2-3 weeks before I could ditch my diaper during the day. I am still having bedwetting accidents. I have never been a bedwetter and was potty trained by 18 months and didn’t remember ever wearing a diaper.
Define “an extended period of time”. The reason I had to wear diapers in the first place is because I wet my pants at work and the bed that very same night and never wanted that embarrassment again.
This is a question that comes up a lot.
I have been 24/7 for several years out of choice. I can’t say that I have experienced bedwetting and I can’t say I am incontinent. Is my bladder smaller, yes because I wet at first feeling.
The big things about going 24/7 is that your hygiene becomes more important. It is also, as previously pointed out, important to make sure you have time away from diapers. In part because the temperature down there is going to increase on average. Likewise, as mentioned previously, it also helps to keep them fun.
There are 2 other points that I usually bring up.
Make sure you plan financially for it. I keep a bag on ABDL diapers on hand for play dates but I don’t use them for daily wear.
Also, figure out your changing schedule. I wear the Northshore Supreme-lite’s which they rate for 6 hours. I change before work and pack for 1 change. I can usually change after returning home but there are those days where a change at work is needed.
This is a good point I did not think to mention. I take breaks after showering for a while to air dry. As well as if I’m doing something where it won’t be convenient. For example I went hiking this past weekend and did not wear any all day while I was gone. And I had a couple days at work where I did not wear because they were going to be long days and I’m not comfortable changing in public yet.
Though going 24/7, my heart goes out to those that are incontinent as they don’t get a choice in the matter and I can see how much it would change their whole daily life.
That’s me. Intentionally wet at night at first, but now I’m very much a bedwetter.
24/7 wearing, or 24/7 using? for me, it’s wearing 24/7, using mainly overnight, #1 only.
But don’t feel obligated, just do what you enjoy.
I am certainly not discounting the chance of becoming incontinent from 247 wearing, I think the majority of those stating that they have become incontinent are bending the truth a bit for fantasy sake. I’ve been 24/7 for 2 years and while I may have a little bit more discomfort if i were to try holding I still have complete control.
It really depends on the person some people do indeed become diaper dependant with using diapers for years as the subconscious adapts to simply releasing at any time once nocturnal accidents start to happen and take control its harder to regain control as you can not force your self to hold your pee to make it to the washroom when you are asleep.
Its good you still have control after 2 years of being diapered 24/7 but you may find your hold time has shrunk from when you feel the need to pee to having an unexpected accident and down the line you may find being diapered 24/7 is no longer a choice depending how your body and subconscious adapts over time.
Being incontinent my self (OAB) I did loose my remaining control once I went 24/7 (Thats why urologists do not recommend diapers) but Im ok with it as I really had no choice but to wear as meds or surgery was not an option.
Using diapers 24/7 does eventually lead to muscle atrophy .
I take care of a “2 year old” who has been using nothing but his diapers for urination for over 20 years now … he doesn’t have any real control anymore *( to the point sometimes he pees during diaper changes ) … *from what he’s told me, he lost control after about a year of using diapers 24/7 .
[ Note: he doesn’t have any medical conditions that cause incontinence . ]
For me, it doesn’t matter - I have medical incontinence that is progressively getting worse. Sooner-or-later I’ll end up losing complete control any way.
