I’m just looking for advice on how to correctly execute a successful enema, as well as what kinds to try and how many milliliters to do at once.
This is a fairly complex topic for a relatively simple thing. Even when done properly there are risks that you should understand, and there is no shortage of pseudoscience, misleading, and in some cases dangerous information out there.
My advice would be to do your own research, preferably using information put out by legitimate hospitals and respected medical organizations and not random blogs and holistic medicine types.
Gonna be completely honest…
There isn’t a huge risk with enemas…
Obviously there is a risk putting things in places where normally but as well as internal damage from sticking things where they dont belong if you arent careful.
So with that said.
I have been doing the occasional enema about 4 or more times a year for at least 10 years. A bit later if you count me messing around as a young kid… But I don’t count that.
When it comes to enemas there are all kinds of types. But my go too is simply a old fashion bag of water and nozzle… Feed it in and hold it… If you are after a cleaning out. Usually use a full bag and hold it for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Then you can release. If you are not after that effect. You can go ahead and let go when ever. How ever the longer you hold it the higher chance it will get absorbed into your body unless you are using anything but water or something that is water based.
When using a nozzle always be careful. You dont wanna puncture anything inside you… As that would be an awkward hospital visit…
When doing this use caution. As some enemas may persist and cause you to have bowel movements past the original void. Which can some times be very awkward if you are in an environment and not able to get to a bathroom quickly.
With anything. Just google stuff and the risks. I always research the risks of using any types of enemas.
For simple easy enemas. I would suggest using a fleet enema. As they are easy to get your hand on and carry little risk when using them.
Lastly, please keep in mind to space out your enemas. As continuous use can lead to you being reliant on them to void or make you irregular.
I usually at the least give a week between. But usually stick to a month or more.
I use the bag type also 2-3 times a year. You can get them at most pharmacy’s. Make sure you have some good time to self. Use Luke warm water, not to hot and not to cold. Like PaSS stated be careful with the nozzle. I put a little lube on it firs;t and insert slow, there are many positions to get your self into for maximum effect. Kneeling down with head and hands down low with but up in air. Another is on back with legs elevated up on tub or high if you can. Hang bag in a higher spot, shower rod works good. After Nozzel is in and in position slowly release the shut off valve and let it flow in slowly. Put in as much as you can hold. Then wait some time and then void it out. Repeat if you want.
There are risks related to too often and especially too much volume as well as what you use in your bag and how high you hang it. As mentioned there are a few forums dedicated to the subject near as well run as ADISC is for diapers. As I think 18+ links are not allowed here search " enema forum zity " and you will find my favorite.
