This email address does accept emails which I’ve just tested. It might be possible that mails did return because I had a spam attack last year which literally flooded my mailbox and lead to closure by the provider for a period of time. However, this email address should be fine again.
Yes, I had to go the new email address route since the activation email never appeared in my inbox at the other account. Not in spam, just nowhere. Just in case, I did change the password to my others account inbox as well but it never appeared there afterwards when I hit the resend confirmation button.
Well, it is another of my email addresses now and it did work obviously.
