Does anyone else write their own diaper reviews?

Whenever I wear a new diaper for the first few times(which is very often, because I love to try many diapers), I like to write some notes on my phone about it and give it a final rating. This includes fit, comfort, absorbance, and looks, as well as anything else I feel like including. I feel like it lets me focus more actively on my diaper instead of just wearing it and forgetting about it until I wet, and is just fun to do, as well as providing me with information in case I’m considering what to order. By now I’ve written over 30,000 characters on around 40 different diapers. I also plan out my purchases months ahead of time, and consider every possible diaper. Does anyone else do this, to any degree?

I keep a small Excel spreadsheet for the diapers I have worn. Since I don’t wear 24/7, it can take a long time to finish a bag of new diapers and then I sometimes forget what happened the first time I wore that particular brand/style.

I do the same as BabyDenise. I also keep a small spreadsheet with notes and ratings of various diapers I have worn. Makes it easier to recall if there is a specific diaper I have tried and liked/disliked. I have my go to favorites, but I like trying new diapers.

What are the category headers you use on your spreadsheet?

Brand, Type, Size, Store, Date Last Worn and Comments.

The comments column is where I write everything else I think I want to remember about the diapers worn.

I’m not as thorough, but I have a simple text file where I sometimes take notes about brand type, size, fit, tape quality, outer texture, thickness, leak risk, as I see fit, haha.

And I’ve yet another list stating why I would (not) want to try new products based on reviews, so the next order is easier and I don’t accidently order something out of curiosity although knew better years ago.

Wow what a great idea. You can look back through the years and have your own honest opinion while considering a purchase.

I kinda keep a spreadsheet but more for comparing prices across sellers and brands.

Price per diaper, how many are in a case, prices across various retailers.

I normally only keep brands I have tried and trusted. I do put reviews online if available on the retailers website, which lately has been northshore.

Since I am mostly adult training underwear & plastic PUL underpants I do knot have much to offer, but when I wear a disposable I then scour the site and look for others’ judgements and go try that specific adult diaper. For skiing this is very important to me. Total wetness (ml), and wicking ability are what I look for and with an M4 I am very satisfied. But I do want to try Betterdry and several other brands that people have put their seal of approval on. Thanks - I appreciate the great notes you all take and share.
