Hey guys im in aus and ive recently purchased from onsies and little down under as they are local for me. But what other companys are here in aus who are great supplyers for diapers etc?
My ABDL Supplies and ABU Australia are the main other two. Other than that not much else. Plastic-Backed nappies are in rare supply here in Aus sadly. We don’t even have the TENA Slip Maxi Active or Confi-dry etc. Every medical nappy is sadly cloth-backed except for the molicare slip maxi plus.
If anyone knows of any other places to get just plastic backed medical branded nappies in Australia I’d love to know.
This sucks. I wish we had more options like the US does lol. Like those few websites do have a bit of a variety but alot is sold out anyway.
Yep. Like I only a have a few options for plastic backed day nappies. For example the cheapest day nappy is the ABU Preschool at Exactly $2 per nappy (shipping included in price). That’s even cheaper than Molicare Super Plus Maxi which is $2.13 per nappy and the ABU one has a higher ml count too.
That’s the exception though, there is literally nothing else in that price category that is plastic backed besides ABU Barebum. Sure there is Bambino and others but they are all way more pricey, even just a plain white one like Betterdry is still $3 per nappy. Sometimes I just want a good cheap day nappy like the ABU Preschool but sometimes they’re sold out like now and I can’t get a decent white plastic backed nappy at a similar price point other than the Molicares, Barebum (which are at the price point but aren’t white). It sucks.
I was wearing an Abena M3 today and it’s cloth backed and rubbish. Tabs don’t hold, once they come undone they can’t be redone due to cloth like fluff, sides stretch and become a loose fit so more leaks etc.
How do companies get away with this? With depend there was a huge uproar in America after they tried to scam off their highest capacity nappy making it cloth backed but the backlash forced them to retract that. Where’s the backlash for all the other brands?
oh and of course Australia doesn’t even have the one plastic backed Depends version that was reintroduced either, it’s all a joke really.
Try living across the pond…
I have purchased from littles downunder and Abu and found both to be really good.
The problem is that our health systems are too good. Any products that you NEED are paid and supplied for by the state, unlike say the USA which has a more of a user pays system.
The cost of some nappies here are like 40+ bucks a bag for Molicare, if not more.
I know independence Australia has a pretty good selection, but still probably nothing plastic backed.
Quite true, they do. Only Plastic backed on there is Molicare Slip Maxi though. If they were all plastic backed then it would be a nappy gold mine!
I know that there is very limited selection when it comes to plain white medical style diapers, both in Australia and here in New Zealand. If plain white is what youre after, i know Littles Down under has: Better Dry, and Rearz Incontrol Inspire, Bambino Bianco and the Total Dry X-Plus . I know they aren’t “medical” diapers, however i think they will be the closest you’re going to get in plastic backed diapers.
