you will probably get a lot of pushback, a lot of people have very negative views about Depends, but even though i have Megamax’s, Dotty Pride, ABU BareBums, etc. in my layette, i also have Depend Protection with Tabs. For a thin inconspicuous diaper that i can throw a soaker and it will last my entire shift at work. Pretty good for $0.60 diaper
Depends have lowered their quality massively over the past 20+ years. The padding doesn’t even come up much in the back. No offense, but you must have a bladder the size of an ant if they didn’t leak after several wettings. They do fit well due to the 6 tapes, but are hardly a shadow of what they once were. I’m disgusted by their corporate money mongering unethical greed in the name of profit (at our expense simply because they have a name in the game). Simply put, Depends can rot in hell until they actually care and produce a less than sub par (plastic backed) product.
A friend gave me a Depends 6 tab a while ago and I was pleasantly surprised. I gave it like 1.5-2 wettings with no issues. The six tapes did help make it fit rather nicely and I did like the feel of the shell.
Ya, it was noticeably thinner and I wouldn’t trust it anywhere near as much as some of the other brands available, especially compared to ABDL brands. But I agree, for the price and all the bad press they get in the community, they really aren’t that bad and it’s usually a bit over-exaggerated imo
Hell Naw i would not touch it with a 10 foot pole , i know that was the to go diaper when i first started wearing actually i remember me ordering over like 100 of them , when they were stilll green! when u could get free samples and i just hit sample sample over and over then it showed up and my parents got the embarasement of picking them at the post and i think burning them all in the furnace or did they really! I had put fake names as the receiver and the po box haaha, i did wear them true the years or when i just wanted diapers or no acess way before abdl diapers , when attends were the gold of diapers ,
I also like the 6-tape plastic Depends. They are not the brand/style that I use the most but they are good for the occasional use where the other brands are a bit of over-kill.
Perhaps the quality has gone down in recent imes. Although I will use them if for a quick cheaper “go to” occasionally when I dont feel like using up my more expensive ones. I do like the crinkly sound of them, put a plastic panty over them and they are good for many hours of the day. Its mainly they dont stack up these days because of the large choice of thicker more quality ABDL diapers available now. A little over a decade ago there wasnt as much choice for AB DL diapers…mostly medical types.
I imported some of these a while ago as we can’t get them in the UK.
I think they are reasonable if used as intended. The Depends website has/had a Q&A and recommended that the product be changed “after each episode of incontinence”.
In other words, they are MEANT to be a one-wet product.
As such, they can’t be compared with the high-capacity brands that are designed to last all day and hold multiple wettings.
I used them as intended (replacing after one big wetting) and didn’t have a single leak.
I tested one with two full wettings and it didn’t leak but there was a little press-out when I sat down.
I even used one overnight (I usually wet once in the night) and it didn’t leak.
I’d buy them if they were available in UK supermarkets to have in as another option.
The “2 year old” has a 16-foot camera pole for wide angle photography …
On a more serious note: the 6 tab Depends, from my own experience, are very low capacity. I can not use them for more than an hour or 2 before needing to change. The gathers also chafe my legs x_x
I used to use the overnight diapers 20+ yrs ago and they were not bad.I even found some at a store texted depend and gave them the # off them when asking about them they never answered.
I agree the capacity isn’t great, when compared to some of the 12+ hour supertanker diapers available. As some people have mentioned, the three tapes can make for a very good fit, which is something I really like. I also like how they are white, plastic, and inexpensive. I regularly add diaper tapes to the top to make them look like retro diapers (like my avatar).
Don’t get me wrong. I still like Abena 4’s, Rearz, and LittleForBig diapers. But, Depends still have a place in my stash.
I haven’t used them in a while and since they went back to being plastic packed I noticed that I now use a large instead of a small/medium. I am considering getting some of these just to offset the really good thick diapers that I use on a regular basis. It would also help extend my collection of really thin crappy diapers that I get for free from my insurance. Are use these thinner diapers as a way to extend the life of a case of good diapers. So I either wear them in between my first and second diaper of the day or I use them consistently on days when I am sick and know that I will go through like five diapers in a day. Are usually buy like 2 to 3 cases of abena or do a mix and match of really good diapers, since that gets really expensive, in the times of having to stretch what you have, thinner diapers are definitely a good way to do that.
