Covid positive

It’s been a really rough almost two weeks. I think I’m at the end of the worst part but it’s still kicking my wife’s butt.

Honestly, I’m grateful, in that as miserable and awful as this is, it’s better than so many hundreds of thousands that have died alone in the hospital.

Anyone here make it through already? Any tips?

My wife and daughter did. My other daughter and I wore masks, stayed isolated from them, ate in separate rooms and we both did not get the covid. However, because they were covid positive, my other daughter and I have to quarantine ourselves for 14 days after my wife and daughter’s 10 days are up.

No serious illness. My wife just lost her sense of taste and smell up til day 9 and now she is fine.

I’ve had the rona back in February and it sucked. I also had that for 3 weeks instead of two. as for tips. keep drinking fluids. take as much otc cold medicine as you can. and kind of just go binge a tv series or so until you get better.

My wife, oldest son and I just got over it. My son is 18 and only had a stuffy nose. I had it the worst, but still not bad. I had some tightness in my chest for about three weeks. My wife lost her taste and smell about 5 days in. Before that she had a bad sinus headache for a few days.

My 11 year old son never got it, and he was around us the whole time. He tested negative 3 times. My 15 year old special needs daughter never got it, luckily. We kept her as isolated as we could.

I really had to push myself to get active again, but once I did, that seemed to help with the lethargy.

For me, the tightness in the chest was nothing compared to the fever and body aches … literally the worst pain I’ve ever experienced while conscious.

I’m feeling great finally, ended up in the hospital with prego wife. She has pneumonia… Treating it now, should be ok, but this is scary.

I had it, tested positive at all, but it was basically a cold with a fever the first night. After that broke at 104, it was just some nasal congestion. I didn’t even get much of a cough.

I was kind enough to give it to my roommate/estranged wife and it was a bit tougher on her. I lost sense of smell for maybe four or five days, but she lost smell and taste. All recovered, though.

Sorry it hit you so hard :-/ sounds like you’ve rounded the corner, though

I had it in November. I was fine in the morning and went to work, but by the time I went home I was rather ill. It was like hitting a wall. Fever of 104 for the first day, and then 101-102 for a week. Chills, sweats, muscle aches, fatigue for another week. I also lost my sense of smell and taste for about a month. I did end up with a dry cough near the end of it, and now I’m finding that I’m a bit short of breath at times. Wearing a face mask is the absolute worst (it causes me to wheeze), but I still wear it when out and at work. Other than that I’m pretty much recovered. In case anyone is wondering, no one I was around the day I became sick came down with it

I live with my mommy and during the time I was ill she was in close contact with me, but she never got sick. I’m so thankful for that!

Well enough about my run in with Covid. I’m glad to hear that you’re doing better, and I’m sure your wife will be feeling better soon as well!!!

I’m still getting over it. I had a fever for 12 days, trouble breathing, coughing, lost of taste and smell for about a week. I’m at the end of it now. Still some trouble breathing. I was suppose to return to work tomorrow after our shutdown for the holidays but already called the boss and told him I would be out at least a couple more days.

Crazy how it affects everyone so differently! We never once had a fever, net even a mild one!
