cotton sleepers

Since our autumns and winters are not that cold anymore I was looking for something lighter than fleece, however most of the common vendors use a cotton jersey that is very lightweight (less than 7.5oz or 254gsm) to reduce price, but these are just way too thin for me.

I once bought one from 4care but that one ripped a week after I had it and I heard from others that a lot of those thinner ones are poor quality.

So barring 4care, I also looked at Donnan but they only use 185gsm cotton jersey, which is very thin.

Since I’m from Europe, walmart and target are out of the question, Bigfeet Pj’s I don’t really know but i have one of their fleece sleepers, which is thinner and won’t last as long as others (though I’m quite happy about it for the rest) I was wondering if anyone knew any other place where I could order one.

Ideally I prefer one in 100% cotton, the one that is used to make regular pj’s, instead of cotton jersey becayse in the latter there’s often spandex in it.

Well I’m not sure about flannel, plus that design is not my thing ::p: and i love zippers more. I accidently bumped into something like this but I am unsure what to make of it, is it to be used as a pyjama or to be worn in the evening for the TV etc?

I’ve got a cotton sleeper, I like it but I think I need fleece at this time of year. Maybe it’s best for spring/cooler summer time.

well our house has been renovated a few years ago and ever since the autumns and winters got warmer I can’t wear my micro fleece sleepers anymore except in winter and my polar fleece sleepers remain in the closet :frowning:

So hence I’m looking for a cotton sleeper, that’s not thin, with zippers, something with 95% cotton, 5% elastane, or 100% cotton

If you are in the UK then nappiesrus and cuddlz both offer cotton sleepers. I’m the same much prefer them

yes, the ones from tykables do look pretty good, but i could never get the prints approved here, i can only get neutral colors (no prints, not even camo)

Donann have the sweatshirt fleece one, which are the same type of material sweatshirts are made of and so are between thin cotton and full polar fleece in warmth. The all in one company have a plush sweatshirt fleece which is similar.

I’ve got sleepers in both of these materials, and I’d say the AIOC one is much softer and a bit warmer, whilst the Donann one isn‘t as soft but works for a wider range of temperatures

now I’m confused, where’s the AIOC one from then?

So basically this one is more suitable for wider range of temps?

Might give those a try then

Sorry to spam but I forgot to ask, if you have one of those sweatshirt onesies of Donann, does it have a wide enough crotch for a diaper underneath? I can’t seem to get their contact form submittted due to a bug so I can’t ask it.

No worries @winterheart01

For AOIC, just select the “plush jersey sweatshirt” fabric when your choosing your sleeper in the “create your onesie” section

I’ve had no trouble wearing a Babykins AIO under either of these sleepers. I’ve found that the AIOC are a much looser fitting, if that helps.

And yep, the Donann one you linked to was the one I meant. It’s a bit lighter weight than AIOC’s sweatshirt fabric, but less soft.

Another small detail, it it helps, is The way they each make the feet. For me, AIOC’s feet are much more comfortable most of the time, as Donann make there’s with a seam across the top that I find less comfortable.

If you go for AIOC, I’d recommend selecting the “sensory seams” option. It’s free, but makes the sleeper much more comfortable, IMHO

I’d be curious to know which you get, if either, and what you think of it when you have it, if you’re willing to share

The plush jersey sweatshirt from AOIC , it is colder than a fleece sleeper I hope?

And now that i look at them again I already found them a while ago, their attached feet look like they’re just sewn on, it’s not very…footed sleeper-like :frowning: So if I were to take theirs it’d be without feet

Yep, I find the AIOC plush jersey less warm than polar fleece.

normally they have some elasticated ribbing at the ankle, between the leg and the foot, but you can ask to have them without, then they are just sewn directly on at the ankle. Both places make the feet as separate pieces of fabric, I guess because they offer them as an option rather than an integral part of the design

hmm, can you make a picture of the feet from the one from danonn? so i get a clearer image of what they would look like attached?

I don’t think i’ll be taking the one from AIOC then because the feet don’t really look that well.

Sure @winterheart01

Here’s the AIOC one, made from the plush jersey material and with the sensory seams. The only seam on the foot is along the back in the middle, so it’s made of 1 piece plus the sole. The AIOC feet are also double layered all round, so the feel thicker and softer too. Here I also asked them not to put the ribbing at the ankle

And the Donann one, made from sweatshirt fleece. Here you can see the seam along the top of the foot. They make the foot out of 2 pieces plus the sole, and its only a single layer of fabric plus the non-slip material on the sole

One other thing that’s different between the 2 is the zipper. Both have zippers that run to the ankle (which was an option), and in the Donann pic you can see the end of the zipper. In the AIOC pic, the part where it looks like there’s 2 seams with a small strip of fabric between them is the end of the zipper.

I’d say the AIOC one is more thoughtfully designed and better made, which is probably why its also more expensive!

Thanks a lot  this really helps me and upon consideration I really feel tempted to get an AIOC one now ^^ Especially since it’s right now 20.7°C in my room and the moment I turn my computer on it’s 22.8°C and the thinnest fleece footed sleeper I have now is making me sweat instantly.

So I’m hoping the AIOC plush jersey sweatshirt footed sleeper will be better.

I’ll let you know once i’ve got one!

Cool! If it helps I was wearing an AIOC one the other night, when the temperature in my bedroom was mid 20s C, and it was OK for me. A little too warm with a quilt, but OK without.
