Complaints about specific brands?

Hey everyone! Trying to get a masterpost together of common complaints about everyone’s favorite diapers. Now! We are trying to be constructive, so don’t just drag a company through the mud. Everyone makes mistakes and its our job to tell them how they can make it better!

For me to start this off, I would love it if the ink on the Tykables cammies didn’t bleed as much as it does! I wake up blue everytime I wear these!

Think this could be fixed with a different style of plastic, something that retains ink a bit better as i have no issues with ink bleed in northshore products.

Also, personal issue but I think I am allergic to something in the tykable dubblers. Everytime I wear them, I wake up very red and raw in the spots that make contact even though I have powder and lotion on and have worn for much longer without a rash

thoughts?

This isn’t a specific brand but I really dislike how when a new diaper comes out its only available in mediums/larges and smalls/XL are just given the middle finger.

Its better now though because at-least I can pick some abdl diaper to wear, but a couple of years ago it was bad for people who wore size small.

We had like nothing on the market and the community wasn’t acknowledging it as a issue just because it didn’t affect them.

I have no complaints about the diapers I wear. I am totally bladder and bowel incontinent and wear Seni brand diapers 24/7. They are the most comfortable fitting diapers I have found. They work very well for me and give me the protection I need to contain my accidents. They might not be the best diaper for other people because everyone is different. What ever brand diaper you find that gives you the protection you need is the best diaper for you no matter what brand it happens to be. Everyone needs to find the best diaper for their needs. Mine just happens to be the Seni brand of diaper.

Which ones? I like the Quattros alot but am disappointed in the super pluses as they only hold 1 or maybe two good wettings from me!

I wear the Seni Super Plus diapers as my primary daytime diapers and the Seni Quatro diapers as my primary overnight diapers. I have no complaints about either of them.

The bleed is part of the fade when wet, it is designed to come off; we just didn’t intend for it to come off on the sides. We have already addressed this in our recent production run so the issue has been solved. You just have some from the first production run.

I am sorry to hear that but have no clue why this would be, the same exact materials that go into our diapers are in the Dubblers; it is just a different shape. So I have no idea what could be causing this if it is only notice it after the Dubblers.

I wish crinklz didn’t clump as much. Also, Abu makes great diapers but they’re horribly overpriced. That’s why rearz and lfb are my go to brands of premium abdl diapers. Also, I wish Abu and tykables sold on other sites like amazon so I could buy them all at the same time.

I’m glad to see that yall have already fixed it! It makes me want to get a couple more packages!

Hmm thats intriguing. I thought that maybe it might end been a differently type of fiber used to hold them together compared to the commies because it only happens when i wear dubblers. Think what i will do to root out the source is give this time heal fully, then wear one of the cammies on its lonesome to see, and then i will use the rears that i have combined with the dubbler because i know the rears don’t do this to me

We still have some of the last run shipping but we should be through them shortly. You can always email and ask us if we started shipping out the new run before you buy.

Sure, feel free to email us at [email protected] and let us know. I would be curious to know myself. My assumption is that it is not that bad, your previous post made it seem more like an inconvenience than anything.

Does the plastic on the ABU DinoRawrz and BunnyHopps seem weaker than other brands or is it just me?

Always Discreet breaks me out in hives and rashes whenever I wear them.

They aren’t even wet or anything and I’ll get painful welts wherever they touch me.

I’m not sure what causes it but I suspect it’s the perfumey stuff they put on them.

I wear Tena Super Briefs, and if you pull on the tab itself, it will rip right off. There is no reinforcement. I’ve wasted a bunch due to that. But they are still my everyday diaper due to comfort, cost, performance, and stealth.

Several brands of diapers are being made on the same machine that is (was) out of adjustment, the top right tape (as worn) was being attached back about 1/2" from where it belonged, leaving that tape’s adhesive area prone to popping. Affected bambino, ABU, dc amor, and others.

Rearz Little Monsters were known for a wide range of common detects, including tape attachment defects and padding placement errors.

Tykables had several runs of different models where the top and bottom tape separations varied and were occasionally down to half inch separation on one side. (haven’t seen that recently though, common issue on their original little builders)

Other than that, nothing too consistent. I’ve seen some spectacular one-off defects from time to time, including a few bambino teddy where the shell was at the change of a roll so I ended up with a diaper with 1.5 shells and at least 6 tapes, it was a hilarious mutant.

Something I still see from time to time on many different diapers is where the sap grains are too large between the shell and the padding, leading to hard bumps on the shell that can lead to pinhole leaks.

Those do use a thinner, softer plastic, that is a bit easier to damage, though I haven’t ran into any real problems with them. I do wish more diapers were made with that shell though, I like the softer feel. Unfortunately they counter that soft feel by using a stiff velcro front panel - I’d love to see that shell used on a tape diaper, one with double stick tapes so no hard tape panel. (I think some of the Tena are using that same shell - tena slip super maybe? they change names and models too often to keep track of)

I wish that when big companies like Rearz, ABU, Bambino ECT. Release new diapers, they made them entirely new, not just some new print. I want to see a new diaper type come out of the blue, not just some revamp

There is only one complaint, they need to extend or add more absorbency to the sides and wings so that my diaper doesn’t leak if I am sleeping on my side or sitting on a couch!

They’re wider in the back… soooo… put them on backward. Feels weird, but works (especially true of betterdry/crinklz)

Quite a few companies suck at taking product pictures. ABU, Tykables, and Dotty do them quite well, but some companies like LKB do them poorly. When I’m buying diapers, or a onesie, I don’t just want to see the print, I want to see how it fits on different parts of the body i,e how low down to the legs on a romper go, or how the print on a diaper when worn vs unfolded. A product picture can make or break your product, so a single low res badly lit cellphone picture won’t sell a $35 onesie.

Some companies not offering industry standards is irritating as well. Rearz does not other mixed cases despite every other company doing so and pushes their “Rearz Gear” too heavily for my taste. Most people don’t want a $180 Safari bean bag chair, but people do want mixed cases so they can get 3 different bags without paying a $25 premium for the same amount of diapers.

That would be a crazy experiment, wearing a diaper to bed backwards (I’m not brave enough for that)
