I remember getting some Member’s Mark diapers some years ago (so bear that in mind) and I remember commenting then that they were what pull-ups should be. Yes, they’re diapers, but they had stretchy sides, strong tabs, could up pulled up and down for “toileting” as needed, were thin and discreet, and held a decent amount for what they were.
I’m sorry to say that I don’t remember ever trying Walgreen’s Certainty brand diapers, but I’m confident the capacity was similar, based on other in-house brands I’ve tried (Rite Aid, CVS, etc.).
Certainty hold up better than Members mark, imho. I can void twice in a certainty and not have leaking issues, Member mark is like not wearing anything at all. Mind you, I haven’t tried member mark for… five or six years.
Never tried Maker’s Mark. I have used Certaintys quite a bit, and you’re right, they are not that bad as long as you don’t continue to wear one after a second soaking. And they’re not leakproof if you wet overnight and you sleep on your side. I now use Covidien Wings which are at the same price point as the Certaintys but are somewhat better. They have a SAP strip that the Certaintys don’t have and the elastic around the legs are better. I wish I could afford a better ABDL style, but I go through 3-5 diapers a day.
If you bought more premium diapers, they could hold more than one wetting. (Unless you’re talking about bowel IC in which case yes I would change after one incident)
I really wish I could afford to buy premiums, but as I said I can go through as many as 5 a day. I wear more because I have to than I want to. But I still want to.
I’m an IC college student who lives at poverty wage. I feel for you deeply friend Right now I only use premiums at night because if not I leak. I use an off the shelf brand pull-up during the day and try my best to make it to the toilet
I get a 96-count case of the Covidiens from Amazon for around $32.00 US. At night I double diaper. I cut a few slits on the outside of the inner diaper, put it on, then put the second unslitted diaper on over it. The slits in the inner diaper let the excess flow through to the outer one. I really need a diaper cover for overnights to better handle leakage.
They have a newer version with stretchy sides and the older one with plain sides and four tabs. The newer one has leak guards which are better than the older one.
i use them with liners and as long as you have liners they are economical and they work.
