I have something that I really would appreciate everyone’s opinions or expertise on.
As ya’ll know, I’m still going through the trouble of deciding what direction I’m heading for next when it comes to diapers. Goodnites are no longer useful to me because of poor quality. And I’m still waiting for my sample of BunnyHopps 2 four tabbed diapers to arrive.
But I need a better understanding of something that is troubling me.
For the Drynites- made in the UK, I have noticed that some particular sellers on EBay and at least one British stock site sells them and ships “worldwide” but I continue to fail to understand why when they have prices listed for “GBP”. Can anyone please explain that to me and how does it effect paying? Do I have to convert my money into Euros and if so how?
If it turns out I don’t, “maybe” Drynites can save me for a short time. If not, than I guess I have no choice but to return to square one. I just really would appreciate someone’s views over online ordering overseas and what GBP means.
When buying from other countries, you really need to look at the shipping cost. Price for the product may be a good price but once you add in shipping it’s not worth it for something that you can get local.
Going from a pull-up to a full on tape on diaper normally is more expensive, but most of the time you don’t have to change as often using a good quality tape on diaper compared to most pull-up diapers.
If you want to stay with pull-ups you could look into the iD Comfy Junior Pants. They don’t have cute prints on them but they are a pull-up that can be found and shipped around your area easier than getting something from the US.
Also you will need to watch your credit card when ordering out of country, normally when I do a rearz order in Canada my card will go through then get rejected a few hours later, I will have to re-confirm my purchase with the credit card company, its not normal for me to make a purchase out of the US, so they will flag it.
I understand what you mean, but for myself it’s kinda worth investing on these.
Quality of Goodnites is not as good as they were years ago. It took me a while to realize. However, Drynites continue to be better and superior over them. Why? Cause they haven’t added double leg barrier guards yet (Which I pray they don’t) and in quality they are much better. Plus, the sides are stretchy like the old Goodnites from years ago so they fit a lot better.
I am still waiting my tabbed diaper samples so I’ll have to wait and look into my thoughts on them for the third time. First was a bust because one size was a little too small and crushed my regions; while the upper size- even though they fit me better there was just so much space that I couldn’t go when I wanted to go. But I’ll let you know what my third review is.
But yes, I understand the pros and cons of ordering from other countries. However, in my case I kinda want to try it- cause Goodnites of today stink; while Drynites from UK continue to stay the same and work much, much better.
@GoodniteLover219 You also have the option of befriending people who live in the UK. I currently live in the UK, and one time when I went back home for a visit, I sent one of my online friends some Drynites (the Frozen Drynites from 2016). There might be the off chance that someone may go over there for a visit, or better yet you could come over here, although nobody is really travelling at the moment due to covid.
Speaking of customs charges and taxes, packages that are sent as gifts do not incur any such charges as long as the goods are below a certain amount (and Drynites are not that expensive unless you are buying several cases). You could befriend people in the UK and have Drynites sent to you as a gift, although you may still have to reimburse that person.
