C VIRUS= Diaper slowdown/ stoppage 4 u?

Good morning to my ADISC family! Like a lot of Americans, I have been affected and will be affected by the C VIRUS :microbe: for the future; just like you. I am an ABDL that doesn’t really need diapers. I’ve decided to (try) and suspend my diaper wearing until (maybe) this thing blows over. How about you? I have lots of diapers, gloves, and baby powder; that’s it. I’m almost out of wipes. What are your supplies looking like?

3 adults live in this house, all 3 of us are incontinent . *( 2 of us are medically incontinent, the other is diaper incontinent ) *

No diapers = very bad time

Nothing will stop me from wearing diapers. I am totally bladder and bowel incontinent from a ruptured disc in my lower back. I have been diapered 24/7 for the last 20 months. I just hope there is not a run on adult diapers or a disruption in the supply chain at would reduce the diapers available online because I buy all of my diapers on Amazon. Luckily, the toilet paper shortage is not effecting me because I use very little toilet paper due to being diapered all the time.

UPDATE: I went out this morning and bought wipes and an extra petroleum jelly. I’ve decided I am only going to wear a diaper to bed; as I’ve been doing (almost) every night for years now. Last 2 nights I didn’t wear and almost wet my bed both times! I do have a mattress protector, but still.

I’ve got enough nappies to last around 12 weeks if I need it.

Hell no, it’s making life shitty enough.

It was just a matter of time before someone made the comment about the toilet paper shortage…that would be me…I always have a stock so what is happening now does not affect me that way.

I am aware of the seriousness of this situation. We were visited in the recent past by a group of people from Italy and afterwards a number of us came down with a flu/cold.

Was it??? No idea, if you don’t get tested. It seems to have worked its way through people at work and no one has missed more than a few days of work.

There is definitely a high risk group out there that does need to worry. Current stats indicate that 80% of the population will go through it like any other flu. It is the 20% with other health concerns that are at risk.

The fear factor has been hyped up by the media. I wished they applied a little more science to their reporting. I haven’t even heard any recent stats out of China or Italy. Are they hiding something so bad that they are a afraid they will scare us?

Have I changed my routine as far as diaper wearing goes? No!

Have I changed my social interactions? Yes! Social distancing is a real thing. I still have a cough and don’t care to share it. I like my 2 meter (7 feet 8 inches) of space as recommended by the health people. I don’t go out unless I need to or for work. I don’ think that will change until this blows over.

The panic buying is a bit of a mystery to me. We went through SARS, MERS, and H1N1 without this happening. They were similar events. And we are now on Covid-19, that means there were 18 before this one.

I went to target today (I use always overnight pullups during the day) and the incontinence aisle was wiped clean of always and Tena- the “good” cheap brands. All that was left was depends and store brand. No thanks. I do have plenty of tape on diapers to last me a while.

Covid-19 because it was first discovered in 2019. Coronavirus Disease 2019 or Covid-19 for short.

I do think wearing nappies is the most hygienic thing if you are out in public at the moment assuming you change when you get home as it minimises being in contact with people and touching surfaces in public toilets. Also there seems less of a problem with nappy and baby wipe shortage than toilet roll shortage so win win

I stand corrected on the numbering system of this virus. However if you check into the history of other viruses in other years you will find they too were in the noval coronavirus family and fell into “pandemic” area. This has not been the first one to hit. The Spanish flu of 1918 was one of the more deadly examples of a pandemic. Advances in medical care since that time has been the big difference in the death toll numbers.

Funny there is no shortage of hand soap. Maybe we are not the far off from 1918 hygiene standards.

I have a buuuunch of wipes and baby powder, but sadly not a lot of diapers. I’m trying to conserve them because this month the majority (if not all) of my money is going to be going towards rent :pensive:. My hubby is having trouble making money since no one is ordering on Doordash/grubhub in our area.

Always pull ups are excellent.

The store brand Target pullups aren’t too bad. Better than Depends.

I’m also wearing 24/7, but for a different reason. I was outside the country and was advised to “self-quarantine” for 14 days; Daddy interpreted that as falling under his “sick at home” protocol. So now I’m wearing onesies over Rearz Barnyards and ABU Space all day - plus mandatory naps, daily baths, and 5 minutes on my tummy every 4 hours while my temperature is being taken.

Well as for wearing if I had any on hand id still wear but as for new supplies i’m leaving them all for the people that actually need em I can live without its the one thing I forgot to stock up on and now it would be inconsiderate in my opinion due to china and Europe being shut down for who knows how long every little bit might matter.

I am medically incontinent. So the virus does not stop me from being diapered and using them for 1 and 2. I don’t use toilet paper. I use wipes exclusively

I have enough diapers and wipes to last till next year, being IC everything goes in my diaper and my fear of running has meant that I always have a large supply… back a month ago as this was starting we stocked up with more…

Still have a good supply of some PeakABU’s, however since switching to cloth I now have an endless supply. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I love my cloth but still like the occasional disposable.

Not incontinent, but I have no plans to stop buying or using diapers.

If I have to stop buying non essentials then I will, but until then it’s business as usual for me.
