right now I’m currently sick and I’m wearing a diaper in bed. How many of you also had was diaper on while sick, and tell me about your experience. ![]()

When I’m sick I only get out of bed for #2 or to eat. Diapers give me the ability to just stay in bed and rest. When I get up to eat, I’ll change.
I’ve also had a digestive flu a few times in the years I’ve had diapers available. The first time I had that “gassyo all night long” and woke up to a wet fart and had to change. A few hours later, had to jump up and change AGAIN.(I don’t recall if I went through two or three changes that night) Come next morning I was annyed at myself for not having worn a diaper to bed. (this was before I was wearing 24/7) So the next time I came down with the flu I made a point of wearing a thicker diaper to bed even though I really “didn’t feel like wearing a diaper”. Good thing too. My diaper suffered through quite a few wet farts overnight and was pretty ugly by morning, but I got a good rest, didn’t have to jump out of bed to change my undies, no laundry to rush in the morning, no hassles at all, it was great! I was so thankful in the morning when I got up and changed for breakfast, to see what my diaper saved me from. I was never going to go to bed sick without padding ever again!
I feel sorry for people that don’t have and/or refuse to wear diapers in situations like that. They’re super-convenient!
I think if someone is sick and it hurts to move, like with the flu, or if farting is a dangerous game to play, with diarrhoea, then I think a nappy is good.
The last time i was sick and diapered at the same time i ended up with my first UTI. Not a pleasant experience to get up in the middle of the night and be peeing blood. Scared the crap out of me.
I’m the opposite.
When I am sick, I just don’t feel like doing anything and that includes putting on a diaper and cleaning up afterward.
when I had food poisoning and had diahrea I was worried about messing the bed so I wore a nappy over night as a peace of mind. I didn’t go in it though the annoying thing was I had little accident in day when didn’t have one on!
One of the only times I’ve ever worn adult pull ups (however awful they are) is when I had a really bad tummy upset. I did NOT want the hassle of taping up nappies all the time, and the thought of cleaning up a dirty mess with how my tummy was was NOT something I wanted to deal with. However the pull up allowed quick access to the loo when needed, but also gave me slight peace of mind if things had come on REALLY quickly and I hadn’t made it. I felt so ill and was so dehydrated I wasn’t even weeing loads. Horrible times.
PS to my post…
If I’m just feeling a bit groggy, under the weather, but not feverish etc, I LOVE getting my nappies on and snuggling under the duvet on the sofa. I was referring earlier to more “serious” illness.
It helps knowing I won’t have any embarrassing accidents … diapers have saved me quite a few times when I had diarrhea .
If I am sick in bed it just gives me more comfort to be diapered cause I know I can sleep the day away and be okay. Also if the “other” happens it’s not a travesty.
I love being diapered while sick! Sometimes when I’m sick I get so shaky that I can hardly walk, so It’s nice to have something on in case I don’t make it to the bathroom, and it’s comforting to just snuggle up under a big blanket. I don’t like the changing because it’s extra movement, so I do actually try to make it when I’m sick as I don’t like to sit in a wet diaper too long. Once when I wasn’t diapered I had a legitimate accident with the flu, so I tend to diaper up out of fear now (even if it hasn’t happened in the many years since)
I say it no fun being sick and in diapers at the same time because sometimes you get diarrhea and then you have a bigger mess
Yeah, i’m sick myself and diapered. It’s nice if you’re not sure of your stomach. It’s just a bit of insurance.
I’m currently in bed due to sickness and padded. It hurts to get up and takes a lot of energy to get to the restroom. My wife hates my diapers and I’m not sure if she knows I’m wearing since she is downstairs working (works from home), but at this point, I don’t care if she knows. My body aches and I have a terrible head ache. I’m not getting up.
Oh, good God, I’ve done this for nearly a year of my life. I’ve had two very serious cases of pneumonia, and while it makes it difficult enough to take a few steps, you don’t want to leave bed, sometimes spending days just lying down. I can’t remember many of those days, as they were so similar with the chronic nagging feeling of exhaustion, and weakness, but wearing my diapers (Goodnites, and at the time, Pampers; when the flu kicked in on other gates) gave me a peace of mind that if I couldn’t get up it was ok, but more importantly I think they kept me in a much more cleaner environment vs wet sheets and bacterial growth, or passing out on the stairs trying to do laundry. I am very suspecitiable to lung infections, from a tremendous amount of tissue damage, so whenever I get sick, you can believe I am padded at night, or even when I feel lethargic.
Even if you have to send a PM, I get it, so it’s not thread hijacking. Just how does one make their own edibles? Smoking somewhat worries me, but I f’n love edibles, and have seen some cool molds, along with techniques that are really just an enhanced version of candy making, which is a serious talent!
If I’m sick with a respiratory disease, a diaper is a must. At least a pull up.
I can usually control my stress IC pretty well but not when I’m so sick I’m coughing my lungs out
I guess I‘m different then the rest because when I’m sick I don’t care one bit about diapers and don‘t wear. What usually helps me is one or two cups of tee, a hot water bottle and sleep.
Reliving to read I’m not the only one!
Being sick and changing your diaper yourself vs being sick and having your significant other change your diaper are two very different things.
