Bedwetting alarms and clock alarms vs a good nights sleep, why?

I’ve read through many articles from incontinence companies, medical reports, and magazines… such as this one for example LINK

*I will note that my views below are considering that people have consulted with a health professional to ensure that there are no underlying medical problems. *

I’ve noticed a trend where, perhaps out of ethical obligation, they often suggest that adults experiencing nighttime bed-wetting practice a few solutions in addition to using pads or briefs.

Set an alarm for the middle of the night so that you can wake up and use the restroom
Use a bed wetting alarm so that you will be woken up if you start dribbling or wetting
Start taking medication

What a terrible way to spend the rest of your life, never getting a decent sleep and having alarms wake you up every night; plus take unnecessary medication to enlarge your prostate or balance ADH etc. It’s a well known fact that getting a good nights sleep is fundamental when it comes to good health. Why would these “health” companies and medical reports ever suggest an adult spend the rest of their life having alarms abruptly wake them from REM sleep? That’s terrible advice.

Wear a diaper, get a good nights sleep!

I am very biased because I enjoy wearing diapers; but** do vanilla people really prefer medications and alarms over using a diaper? **Are they not properly informed on how reliable diapers are? Maybe most of society believes that Depends are their only option.

There is no cool middle market for adult diapers (extreme fetish ABDL or lame “old people” Depends). Someone needs to come in and do something cool… like Ninjamas recent rebranding and marketing which is “cooler and more fun” compared to their previous line. Someone needs to blend Depends and Ninjamas together and fill that gap with a new brand. The diaper market is a hot market which continues to grow and is expected to be a $90 billion market by the end of the decade.

I grew up in the era of Metallica, Nirvana, Green Day, Pantera… angst and rebellion… more open and expressive compared to *SOME *conservitive elders who were raised in the 50s and would prefer to wear a simple white diaper and not be influenced by marketing. I know that out of all my friends they would lean heavily towards a cooler brand vs Depends. And would prefer to sleep all night rather than have alarms wake them up and interrupt their sleep!

Adults in their 20s, 30s, 40s need diapers too; and the lame diapers on the shelf at wal-mart are super super lame.

It’s ridulous and also the other option of catheters and interstim (whatever it’s called) sounds painful and incovient, (not bashing anybody who prefers this), I agree that diapers are a better option plus they are fairly discrete nowadays, I also agree that a good nights sleep is healthier than being woken up 1-3 times a night and you’re wet anyway

I agree 100%, My urologist asked why I was wearing a pull-up the last time he saw mw, I told him that I only have a few minutes warning when I have to pee and that I am prone to dribbles no matter how much shaking I do, he told me that it pretty much normal for me at my age and with my BPH, he told me he could give me meds and I said I am fine wearing diapers , he’s ok with that.

Yes, even on this a pro-diaper site, doctors, or medicaton and even surgeries are recommended over padding your butt at night.
