Excellent work and writing. As a professional Romance Poetry Author I did notice the one and only word that you may need to take a look at.
Posted below is right near the bottom. Should it be Alice’s bed instead of bad? Please don’t be upset with me. I have others proof read my writing and point out where I’ve had changes to words and spelling needed. I cherish my proof reading friends.
BTW, If you’d like, I’ll post some of the published work here for you and other to enjoy. Let me know.

Thanks for pointing out that typo. Even though we both read through before posting that was an exceptionally easy miss. There’s an issue with my spellcheck where it will randomly autocorrect the correct word to another common word seemingly on a whim. It has made some very interesting changes in this story alone.

Your offer to share your published works was very kind! While not a poetry reader, there might be others who would enjoy it. I would suggest starting your own thread and seeing what people think. Thank you!

Hi everyone! Selena and I have been loving the support of the story, and the reception has been far better than we anticipated! One of the things we love to do is write together and to have a story we’ve both put together be so well received has been wonderful. Our love of words, both reading and especially writing, brought us together and we love being able to share that with others.

However, we just want to gently point out that we’re not comfortable with some of the speculation being made, especially regarding Zara and Alice. This is partially what led to a delay in posting the next chapter, as we wanted to figure out how to move forward. While we know the idea of having more than one character in diapers is fun, we will not be writing about the littles outside of basic facts. We kindly ask that you refrain from doing so, as well. Zoe and any of the adults are completely fair game, but we will not include the minors involved in any capacity, and we kindly ask that you don’t either. It’s not a direction that we feel comfortable going. While so many of these characters are integral to the story, they are not the main component.

We can appreciate and understand that age regression can be an important factor for many when it comes to diapers, but we are not interested in going in this direction. We don’t know enough about it, and we would prefer to give it the respect it deserves as we know it can be a sensitive area. The last thing we want to do is accidentally hurt someone with our writing, so we would prefer to steer clear.

We have loved and enjoyed your enthusiasm for the story, and we have loved discussing the ideas that you have come up with together. It’s given us an opportunity to see how people are viewing the story, and it’s been enjoyable. We more than welcome the discussions you have all been having with each other! We just ask that you please consider our feelings and respect our request to keep any and all speculation to Zoe and any of the other adults only.

As an added note - after discussions with Selena, we decided that they will be taking a more active role in replying and posting chapters. We haven’t entirely decided how to do this just yet, but we will be making some adjustments moving forward. We just wanted to pass the information along now so that it’s not a surprise to see them around more often.

Each step of this story, from start to finish, has been a joint effort, and while we know this has been on here for a while, we would like to see that reflected. This is something that we love to do together as a couple and we want that to be shown and to be another example of a healthy relationship with this lifestyle dynamic.

Xoxo,
Avery and Selena

Chapter Eight: Sharing SecretsDinner was a very lively affair in the Mason home as everyone was happy to be together again. Even though Zoe was tired, she tremendously enjoyed both the food that had been so lovingly prepared by her aunt and uncle, but also the chatter around the table. It was much different than at home, and it was a welcome change.

After dinner, everyone swiftly moved to the living room where Zoe was squeezed in on the couch with her aunt Sophie on her left and her little cousin Ethan on her right. Sophie leaned over to Zoe as they were talking, a mischievous look on her face.

“So, Zoe,” she started with a wink, “any cute boys or girls at college?”

“I mean…not really,” Zoe replied with a slight stutter before catching herself. “No, not really. But I’ve been too preoccupied with my classes to really think about that.”

“But Zoe,” Sophie replied with a dramatic, put-on gasp, “you can’t forget to have fun! It’s supposed to be the best time of your life!”

“Well, there have been a few parties,” Zoe giggled. “They were fun, but really I’ve just been super busy. It’s a lot more work than I expected.” Zoe scratched the back of her head, shaking it at the same time with a small smile. “But I’ve aced all of my tests so far, and I’d like to keep that going.”

“Wow, that’s impressive,” Sophie replied. “So you’ve been getting straight A’s?”

“Yeah,” Zoe answered with a shrug. “I still have a 4.0 GPA. It’s a lot of effort, but so far it’s paying off.”

“As long as you’re not working too hard.”

Zoe laughed awkwardly in response before she realized it was the perfect opportunity to slowly confide in one person at a time about her situation.

“Well,” Zoe started, drawing out the word for a moment as she shifted anxiously in her seat. “There have been some issues. Some embarrassing issues,” she added with a blush.

“Issues?” Sophie asked, looking concerned. “What kind of issues? Like I heard your mom mention something, but she was being very vague about it. She just said that you were going through something and might need some extra love.”

“I, uhm…” Zoe trailed off with a nervous giggle. “I don’t know if I can say it exactly, but I can kinda show? That’s a little easier.”

“Oh?” Sophie said in response, looking more curious than concerned. “What do you mean?”

Zoe shook her head, deciding that she would be far more comfortable showing things in the relative privacy of the kitchen. She hoped that her aunt picked up what she was doing when she stood up.

“I’m going to get some more tea,” Zoe announced to the room. “Does anyone want anything?”

“I’d like some coffee, if you’re heading into the kitchen, Zo,” Zack answered, followed by multiple orders of tea from the others.

“Did you want some more lemonade, Noah?” Zoe asked, looking at the youngest member of the family. “If that’s okay with your mom, of course.”

“Yeah, I think that would be fine,” Beth said, grinning at Noah’s gap-toothed beaming smile in response.

“Yeah!” Noah shouted, throwing his hands up into the air. “More lemonade! More lemonade!”

Sophie catching onto the hint motioned for Beth to sit back down as she started to rise. “I think Zo and I can manage to put together some more coffee and tea. You just relax,” Sophie said, motioning for Zoe to head towards the kitchen.

The moment they arrived in the relative seclusion of the kitchen, Zoe let out a sigh. “All right,” Zoe said. “Now I can show you, I guess. It’s much easier than trying to explain because I don’t really know if I can.”

This time Sophie looked more concerned than curious, her brow furrowing as she studied Zoe. She was about to ask what Zoe meant when she lifted her shirt, showing the edges of the diaper she was wearing peeking over the edge of her jeans. Zoe decided to pull the waistband of her jeans down further for good measure, leaving no question about what she was wearing.

“Oh,” Sophie said, her eyes growing wide as saucers. “Oh, you poor thing.” Sophie immediately pulled Zoe into a hug. “Your mom said you were going through a difficult time, but I thought it was just something school related. Is there anything I can do? Any way I can help?”

“No, it’s okay,” Zoe blushed. She hadn’t expected so much sympathy with her revelation and had expected people to be more weirded out than anything. She could feel herself starting to grow more confident in telling others. Perhaps her mom was right, and nobody would ask too many questions. “Just please don’t share it with everyone, I guess.” Zoe stepped out of Sophie’s embrace so that she could start to put together the many orders of tea.

“I would never,” Sophie said. “And if you need anything, all you have to do is ask.”

“Thank you, Aunt Sophie,” Zoe said with a small smile. “Do you think you could bring this over to the table for me?” she added, holding out a tray with steaming mugs of tea. “I’ll be right back in there in a few minutes with Dad’s coffee and Noah’s lemonade.”

As Sophie walked out with the tea-covered tray, Zoe kept herself busy puttering around the kitchen and getting the coffee ready.

She paused for a moment as she bent slightly at her knees, trying to stretch. If anyone had been looking, they would have noticed the fabric of her jeans expand ever so slightly around her butt and in the front at the gusset, but since she was alone, no one knew the difference. As the coffee pot finished filling, Zoe was standing upright again. As if nothing had just happened, Zoe poured the coffee into two mugs – one for her dad and herself – and brought them back out to the living room along with Noah’s lemonade.

Sitting back down next to Sophie, Zoe noticed the slight added cushion she was suddenly sitting on, but otherwise she was positive that it was impossible to know what had happened. Sipping on her coffee, she noticed that Alice looked decidedly unhappy as if she had just gotten done discussing something with her exasperated looking mother. Whatever it was had mattered a great deal as Alice’s face was red and she had tears filled in her eyes. She could see Beth let out another sigh as Alice hissed something in her direction. Beth leaned in close to Alice and whispered something in her ear, giving a slight point in Zoe’s direction.

Oh, Zoe thought to herself as she realized what conversation was being had. Alice had to have been informed of the sleeping arrangements and wasn’t happy. Not wanting to pry, Zoe quickly looked away, deciding to join in another conversation and feigning ignorance over what had just transpired. Her coffee was downed far quicker than usual in her efforts to try and distract herself.

Before she knew it, Zoe found herself yawning — a lot. She hadn’t realized just how tired she was, and her coffee wasn’t doing anything for her. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. It was only half-past 8, but she was more than ready for bed.

However, Zoe’s yawning accidentally started a flurry of movement. Having looked at the time as well, Sophie and Beth decided that it was time for the two youngest to go to bed, and Alice decided she needed to get away and read for a little while.

During all of the shuffling, Zoe ended up moving seats and found herself ambushed by her uncle Marc, who was curious about her schoolwork. This meant that Zoe spent the next half hour discussing things such as reference questions, the proper way to do research, and how most people didn’t know how to do research. She felt as though she was being quizzed despite loving what she was doing, but it was also nice talking to someone who had an interest in her classes. But the conversation was going on for far too long, and Zoe’s yawning was ceaseless.

“All right,” Zoe said, standing up with a stretch, “I am going to bed. It’s been a very long day.” Wishing everyone a good night, Zoe trudged up the stairs.

Grabbing her pajamas and toiletries, she made her way to the bathroom. Seeing as her mom wasn’t there just yet, she decided to start brushing her teeth. Zoe wasn’t entirely sure what she was supposed to do. Was she meant to change herself? She supposed that she could if she had to, but she wasn’t even sure if she really could or if she was allowed to. She mulled over the possibilities when a gentle knock came at the door just as she finished brushing her teeth.

“Zoe? Are you in there?”

Zoe let out a sigh of relief at hearing her mom’s voice. “Yeah, I am, Mom. The door’s unlocked.”

“Can I come in?”

“Yeah, that’s fine, Mom,” Zoe said as she rinsed off her toothbrush. She looked up in the mirror as Amelia stepped into the room carrying a large tote bag in her hand, a slight look of approval on her face.

“You haven’t undressed yet?” Amelia asked.

“No, I wasn’t sure what you actually expected,” Zoe said, turning around. “So I waited.”

“That’s good,” Amelia replied with a nod. “And how are you holding up?”

“Okay,” Zoe said vaguely. She let out an exasperated sigh at the knowing look on Amelia’s face. “Fine. I’m a little…” Zoe scrunched her face up as she fished around for the right word to use. “I’m a little squishy,” she decided on.

“I figured,” Amelia said with a less than subtle glance down. “You remember all of our rules for this vacation, right? No doing anything without permission and checking in with me. Well, at least where your…squish…is concerned,” Amelia clarified.

“Yeah, I remember,” Zoe nodded. She hesitated for a moment before pulling her jeans down and revealing her diaper which, as she put it, was quite squishy. “I’m more relaxed,” Zoe offered voluntarily after a short moment, surprising both Amelia and herself. She went through the motions of letting Amelia change her.

“How so?” Amelia asked, knowing there was a risk that it would make Zoe clam up and stop talking, but it was worth a try.

“Well, I don’t know,” Zoe said with a slight shrug as Amelia changed her. “I guess it’s nice to not have to overthink about at least one thing in my life. Although I feel horrible self-conscious at times. But it’s just something I don’t have in control. On the flip side I don’t have to worry about it either, I guess. It’s kind of good in that way.”

“I can see you’re more relaxed, actually,” Amelia said. “Well, aside from the occasional little moment, but you’re generally looking less stressed.” Amelia gently pat Zoe’s hip as she finished adhering the tape of Zoe’s nighttime diaper. “Okay, that’s all done.”

Amelia helped Zoe up from the towel they were using. “It might be easier to just do these changes in our bedroom, though,” Amelia commented. “I don’t think the floor is that comfortable.”

“It kind of isn’t,” Zoe said with a giggle. “But it’s okay. Well, the diaper is,” she added before her face turned beat red at the realization of what she had just said. Trying to hide what had just come out of her mouth, Zoe quickly busied herself with putting on her pajamas before she looked back up at her mom who wore an amused smile.

“Well, I can’t say I would know how it feels, dear, so I’ll take your word for it,” Amelia said, tapping Zoe’s padded butt. “I think it’s bedtime for the both of us. Sleep well, Zoe.”

“Good night, Mom,” Zoe said, walking out of the bathroom and heading to Alice’s room.

Entering Alice’s room, Zoe noted that Alice appeared to already be asleep as she made her way over to the guest bed that had been set up for her. Lowering herself onto the mattress, Zoe grimaced at the crinkle of both her nighttime diaper and the plastic sheet that covered the bed. It seemed that they both echoed in the relative silence of the room. Zoe moved slowly as she tried to situated herself on the bed, hoping that the crinkling wasn’t actually as loud as she thought.

Shifting a couple times to get comfortable, Zoe found herself growing slightly impatient. She was still trying to adjust to the additional thick padding that surrounded her and it made sleeping on her side slightly more awkward than what she was used to. Eventually she found a comfortable position half on her stomach and she started to doze off. But before she could fall asleep, Alice, who apparently wasn’t asleep, asked her a question.

“Zoe? Are you really wearing a diaper, too?” she asked, her voice barely higher than a whisper.

Zoe debated for a moment on what to do, multiple options going through her head. She could pretend to be asleep, but did she want to deny it? But then she remembered what Beth had said and how much Alice was struggling. Maybe if she showed Alice that she was all right with wearing a diaper, she would start to be okay with it too. Realizing that she had been quiet for far too long, Zoe decided to take a different tactic in the hopes it wouldn’t make Alice more nervous than she probably was.

“Sorry, Alice, what did you ask?”

“Oh, uhm,” Alice said suddenly sounding more nervous. “Are you really wearing a diaper? Too?” she added as an afterthought.

“I, uhm…” Zoe stuttered slightly, cursing herself inwardly for it, though she could blame it on being tired. She took a deep breath before she answered, “Yeah. I’m wearing a diaper.” She hoped that her response sounded nonchalant.

“Why?” Alice asked.

“Why am I wearing a diaper?”

“Mmhm,” Alice hummed in confirmation. “You’re like…all grown up. So why are you wearing one?” Alice asked, sounding intrigued.

“I’m not really a grown up,” Zoe said with a quiet laugh. “Are you calling me old, Alice?”

“Nooo,” Alice whined. “You’re not old like Mom and Dad, but like…you’re older.”

“You should tell them that,” Zoe said with a laugh. “Actually, please don’t,” she added as an afterthought. “Anyway, I have to wear them because I have a lot of accidents, and I don’t want your mom to have to wash the sheets every day. That doesn’t sound very nice for her, and I get to be comfortable and know that everything is okay.”

“Oh,” Alice said in response, sounding relieved. “Well, good night, Zo.” Zoe could hear the rustling of sheets as Alice turned around to sleep, curiosity sated for the time being.

With their conversation over, Zoe decided to do the same. She turned back over, searching for that comfortable position half on her stomach again. It didn’t take too long for her to finally fall asleep once she did.

Hello you two! It’s cool that this outstanding story is continuing - I think it’s superb and, above all, written with a lot of sensitivity! That makes it very special.

I hope that Avery’s comment wasn’t meant to refer to my thoughts. I value realistic stories and I noticed that there was an open question… At no point did I want to influence the course of the story!

One thing is always clear to me: the author - and only the author - determines the content. Whether and how he develops the story and whether he responds to individual questions is his personal creative freedom. Incidentally, I have the impression that a large part of this story has long since been written and that what already exists is now being worked out. I myself never respond to a reader’s suggestions…

Every story that is continued and finally written to a conclusion is an enrichment for the readers and the forum.

Our comment definitely wasn’t aimed specifically at your comment dont worry.

It was aimed in general at comments about things relating to the minors in this story. And giving clarity on our feelings surounding that subject.

We actually do love all the feedback and speculation.

And your correct in the assumption that a large portion of what was posted was pre written.

Thanks for your comments and i do sincerely hope youl enjoy whats still to come and dont feel to scared to comment

I really like this story. It all sounds pretty realistic and plausible, something I really like, but is rare in ABDL stories.

Thanks that’s a big compliment we try very hard to make it a believable storie although its still a story and ofcourse there has to be drama

Glad you enjoy it

Chapter 10: Winter Wonderland
Zoe woke up with a buzz of excitement. Today was going to be the first day they went to the mountains and hit the slopes. While Zoe was of course excited to see her family, she was more excited to find herself high up in the mountains, ready to make a quick trip down.

She got up slowly from bed, crossing the room as quietly as possible to avoid waking Alice who seemed to still be asleep. Just like the day prior, she made her way downstairs and walked into the surprisingly empty dining room.

“Good morning, Zoe,” Zack said with a sleepy rumble. He cleared his throat, lifting his cup of coffee to his lips. “You’re up early.”

“A little bit,” Zoe replied with a shrug. “I wasn’t up too late yesterday.” She sat down opposite of Zack and reached over to the plate of toast that was sitting on the table. “What time are we heading up?”

“Uhm,” Zack pulled his phone off of the table, squinting slightly as he tried to read the screen in front of him. “I think around 10 or so. It’s still early and obviously mostly everyone is still asleep still.” A slight twinkle was in Zack’s eyes as he gave Zoe a knowing smile. “Why? Is someone eager to go snowboarding?”

“Yeah,” Zoe admitted as she buttered her toast. “I really am. I’m really hoping to have some good runs today.” She was slightly startled when Zack reached across the table to touch her wrist.

“Zoe,” Zack started, leaning slightly forward to look into Zoe’s eyes, “please remember we’re on vacation. It’s a holiday – not a competition.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know, Dad,” Zoe said. “Vacation, not competition,” she parroted with an eyeroll.

“Hey, I’m just warning you,” Zack said, leaning back in his chair. “We both know how you get around sports.”

“And how’s that?”

“Well…you know,” Zack supplied lamely before being interrupted by Julia walking into the room with a yawn.

“Good morning,” Julia said, pausing to stretch her arms high over her head before dropping herself into the seat next to Zoe.

“Good morning, Julia,” Zack said, sounding grateful for the interruption. “You’re also up early.”

“I couldn’t sleep any longer,” Julia said as she poured herself a cup of coffee. “Zara snores like a lumberjack sawing logs,” she deadpanned, earning a snort from Zoe.

One by one, each family member staying in the house arrived in the dining room of the Mason home. The relative quiet turned into lively and excited chatter as everyone was equally as energized as Zoe was to head to the mountains to either ski or snowboard – or in the case of the littlest ones, snow tubing. With everyone so eager to head out, it was nothing short of a miracle that they were out the door and ready to go well before 10 with everyone’s winter gear in tow.

Once situated at the ski lodge, Zoe made quick work of donning her gear, meticulously inspecting and prepping her board and helmet before heading to the lifts. For a moment, Zoe’s heart caught in her throat. It was always an anxiety inducing moment as she hooked herself up to the lift and prayed that she had gotten on correctly. It was even worse when it was a seated lift. But her worries were unfounded as the lift quickly caught on and started to pull her up the mountain.

As she arrived at the top, Zoe got off, sliding a few meters before flopping herself onto her butt to wait for the other daredevils in her family to catch up. As she sat in the cold snow, she couldn’t help but realize, with a slight blush, that her somewhat damp diaper provided a very nice cushion to sit on.

Luckily the rest of the family didn’t take too long to catch up to where she was and with a small grunt of effort, Zoe did one last check that her snowboard was on tight before she pushed herself up. With a whoop of delight, Zoe let herself start her descent back down the mountain, the wind blowing in her face as she made lazy zigzags down the slope. She wasn’t racing just yet, but she loved snowboarding and she knew she needed to start out slow.

It had been a long while since she had snowboarded. It didn’t take her too long to get into the rhythm of things, but it was still a challenge. She slid to a halt at the bottom of the slope and miscalculated slightly. With a slight shriek, Zoe felt her board slip out from underneath her, causing her to land on her butt.

At least I wasn’t carrying any speed, Zoe thought to herself. She lifted herself up enough to rub her tailbone. It didn’t hurt terribly, but she certainly felt it.

“Are you okay?” Beth asked, sounding winded as she slid to a half next to Zoe.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine,” Zoe said, waving Beth off. “It’s just been a while, and I’m horribly out of practice.”

“Well, there’s plenty of time to practice today.”

After another couple runs down the slope, Zoe started to feel much more comfortable with being on her snowboard. She was managing to go quicker and quicker as she started to relearn how to move with the board. Her years of gymnastics training meant that her balance was excellent and that helped translate well into her snowboarding.

After a quick check of the time, Zoe finished up her run just in time for lunch. She made her way back down to the mountain, sliding to a stop at the end of the slope where the rest of her family was waiting for everyone to gather.

With a cheeky grin, Zoe slid in a way that she was able to send a flurry of snow in the direction of her youngest cousins who squealed at the sudden contact of cold snow. But before Zoe had a moment to get herself to safety, her cousins quickly recovered from the shock and before Zoe knew it, she was being pelted by snowballs.

“I surrender! I surrender!” Zoe said through her laughs as she covered her face to try and protect it from the onslaught. Breathing out a sigh of relief when the snowballs stopped, Zoe peered through her fingers to see if the coast was clear. She needed to still be ready on the offchance more snowballs were about to come her way.

When she was positive that it was safe, Zoe removed her helmet, shaking her hair free. She made quick work of undoing her boot straps and stepped off snowboard, brushing the snow off that had accumulated itself from her cousin’s attack.

“We’re going to head in to grab a bite to eat,” Amelia said to everyone before turning her head towards where Marc and Sophia came winding down the hill covered in snow, giggling like children.

“What happened to you two?” Zack asked, his eyebrows shooting up. “You two look like, uhm…”

“A bunch of snowwww mmmeeennnnn,” Dennis said happily, making everyone laugh.

“He’s not wrong,” Zara added as she brushed some imaginary snow off of her jacket.

“Well,” Marc said, trying his best not to laugh, “someone decided that it would be romantic to go down the mountain holding hands.”

“It was a good idea,” Aunt Sophia said with a sheepish grin. “The execution of said idea, however, left something to be desired.”

“We’ll try again, honey,” Marc said as he brushed some snow off of his wife’s back. “Don’t you worry.”

Lunch came in the form of burgers and chicken fingers with warm drinks as they dared to brave the outdoors and eat outside at wooden park tables.

Zoe took a grateful sip of her warm tea. It wasn’t exactly cold outside, especially with the addition of all of the winter clothing, but she had definitely been getting thirsty. She hadn’t realized how much of an appetite she had worked up and hadn’t realized just how much she needed something to drink.

“Hey mom?” Zoe whispered to Amelia, trying not to be too obvious. “Do you think before we go back to the slopes we could go to the bathroom?”

“Yeah, sure thing, honey,” Amelia said outloud, completely ignoring Zoe’s attempts at discretion. “Zack, can you watch the gear for a minute? Zoe and I are going to be right back.”

“Sure, Love,” Zack responded with a shrug. “I’ll wait here. Besides, I’m watching Zara’s stuff anyway, so I’ll be here for a while.” He gave another shrug as he looked around with a slight hum. “I think she’s taking pictures for her Instagram or something.”

“Then you might be there for a while,” Zoe noted. “She always takes forever.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Amelia said, “but at this rate, you’re the one taking forever. So come on.”

Following close behind Amelia, Zoe and her mom reached the bathrooms quickly enough. By some sheer miracle, there were barely any people in the bathroom. Zoe took a quick look around, her cheeks flushing slightly as she followed Amelia into the handicapped stall and closed the door. She turned in alarm as Amelia opened her bag and uttered a string of swears.

“What is it, Mom?” Zoe asked, starting to peel off her winter pants and struggling with it. “Too many stupid layers,” she muttered under her breath.

“Well, uhm…” Amelia started, as she frantically moved things around in her bag. “I think I might have forgotten to bring spares along with me.”

“You what?” Zoe exclaimed, freezing suddenly. She watched as Amelia continued searching through her bag and Zoe’s mouth fell open. “You forgot them? Please say you brought something.”

“I’m looking Zo.”

“What do you even have in there?” Zoe asked with a huff as Amelia started to pull things out of the bag.

“Kind of a little bit of everything,” Amelia admitted. “Spare clothing, some wipes, cream…a towel just in case. There are supposed to be spares in here.” Amelia glanced up at Zoe, feeling her curious and alarmed look before throwing her arms up in aggravation. “It’s your ‘Just in Case’ bag.”

“Well maybe you need a ‘Just in Case’ bag for my ‘Just in Case’ bag,” Zoe said in annoyance. Amelia turned to Zoe with a sharp look and sighed.

“I’m sorry,” she said, starting to put things back in the bag. “Why don’t you just wear panties for now? Let’s say this is an exception to our contract, okay? It might be a nice change for a little while – give your bits a chance to breathe since you’ve been diapered the entire time.”

“Yeah, right, maybe,” Zoe said quietly. “Let’s just do that, I suppose.”

Several minutes later, Zoe wasn’t sure if it was a nice change at all. Yes, it felt liberating to have a more free range of motion without having extra bulk in the way, but it felt strange. The worry about others noticing she was in a diaper was more or less non-existent with how thick her winter clothing was, so it had been perfectly hidden away. Without having a diaper, then she really didn’t have to worry. But the worry she would normally feel was replaced with something else, something that Zoe couldn’t quite place. It wasn’t bad but she felt offkilter, and she missed the sense of calm her diaper brought her.

For some reason it also had an effect on how her snowboarding went. She had more than enjoyed it in the morning, but things weren’t going the same as they were. Had she really compensated that much for wearing a diaper? It didn’t feel right. As she made her way back to the top, Zoe found herself lost in thought. What was so different? She really couldn’t tell. All that she knew was when she made it back to the top of the mountain, she was determined. With a quick adjustment of her goggles, Zoe was ready to go, but she was momentarily distracted.

“Hey Zoe!” she heard her sister call out from her left. Zoe looked over at Zara who had a beaming grin on her face as she stood next to Julia. “Race me and Julia to the botoom of the mountain!”

“Okay,” Zoe said with an answering grin. “Y-y-you’re on.” She grimaced slightly at her stutter, but pushed the thought to the side. Crushing Zara in a race was exactly what she needed, she decided. She took off quickly after Zara and Julia with a whooping laugh. That and a bathroom, Zoe decided as an afterthought at the sudden pang from her bladder from her nerves.

The first quarter of the slope went fairly well as Zoe managed to overtake Julia, but Zara proved to be harder to catch up to. Zara might not be nearly as athletic as Zoe, but they still shared the same genes, and Zara wasn’t exactly bad at snowboarding.

Zoe began to get a little frustrated on her descent. She hadn’t caught up to Zara at the halfway point like she had hoped, and she was starting to run out of time. Every time she would get close, Zara would somehow get even faster and Zoe very seldomly lost against Zara. She wasn’t about to now.

Pushing herself even harder, Zoe managed to speed up just enough to finally catch up to Zara and managed to slowly edge past her before making a turn. As she turned, Zoe felt another sharp pang from her bladder that made her wince. It distracted her for just a second too long and everything suddenly went wrong.

With a sudden lurch of her stomach, Zoe felt her board start to slide out just a little too much from underneath her. In the blink of an eye, she suddenly went head over heels as she ploughed out of the corner into a snowdrift.

Groaning, Zoe pushed herself up, shaking off snow as she went. It didn’t hurt too terribly, but she had gone a few meters before finally stopping and that didn’t feel too nice. Her frustration simmered just beneath the surface. She couldn’t believe that she had crashed and even worse, she couldn’t believe she had lost in a race with her sister and her cousin. That never happened. Zoe hated losing, and her frustration only grew when she noticed Zara celebrating at the bottom of the slope. With another groan, Zoe made her final descent down the rest of the mountain, coming to a slow stop.

“Zoe!” Julia said, quickly approaching. “Are you okay? I saw you crash out back there but I couldn’t stop in time.”

“I-I am f-fine,” Zoe stuttered out tersely as she unclipped her helmet.

“Let her be, Julia,” Zoe heard the grating voice of Zara. “She’s just grumpy that she lost and that I won,” Zara said smugly.

Zara’s gloating was the final straw for Zoe. She tossed her helmet down into the snow, glaring at Zara. “You know, Zara,” Zoe started, “I was quicker than you. I am quicker than you. You just got lucky.”

“I didn’t get lucky,” Zara huffed. “You screwed up, Zo. You fell. You lost.”

“Aarrrggghh!” Zoe screamed out.

“What is happening over here?” Zack interrupted as he slid to a stop inbetween Zoe and Zara. He held his hands up to keep the two separated.

“I won our race,” Zara said gleefully. “I won fair and square and Zoe’s mad.”

“Congratulations, hon,” Zack said before turning his attention to Zoe. “Zoe? Remember – holiday not competition. We’re supposed to be having fun.”

“It’s fine,” Zoe grumbled as she undid her snowboard from her feet and picked it up. “But I’m going to the bathroom,” she added before stomping away. She really did need to go, but it gave her the perfect opportunity to walk away.

“Just leave her alone for a while,” Zoe heard Zack say behind her. “You know how she gets, ladies. Zoe isn’t used to losing, and she also isn’t very good at losing. She’ll come around eventually.”

“Humph,” Zoe grumbled to herself. Maybe her dad was right, she reluctantly admitted to herself. It was supposed to be fun being out at the mountains. She dropped her gear off at a storage locker before making her way inside to the bathroom. She let out another grumble when she realized that she had left her helmet behind, but she wasn’t about to go back for it. Once she made it inside the bathroom and sat down, she let out a groan.

There was a dark blue spot on her light blue pants that definitely wasn’t there earlier. She had to have accidentally leaked during her tumble as she had felt mostly okay before. She had thought she had felt the smallest rush of warm liquid spurting out of her, but she had been certain that was just the heat of adrenaline coursing through her system. Rubbing her eyes in frustration, Zoe got up from the toilet. At least she had only leaked into her inner layers and it wouldn’t be seen from the outside. Now annoyed for a different reason, Zoe decided that she would take it easy for the rest of the day.

Leaving the bathroom, Zoe made her way to the family’s unofficial meeting spot. She was only somewhat surprised to find that the crowd had grown considerably as nearly the entire family was there.

As soon as Zack spotted Zoe, he quickly closed the distance between the two of them, giving her a knowing look as he held out her helmet. Leaning down slightly to be in her vision, Zack raised his eyebrows in question. “Calmed down a bit, Zo?”

“Y-y-yeah, I’m f-fine,” Zoe said. “J-just a little s-stressed. I shouldn’t have blown up,” Zoe added, rubbing the back of her neck. “Holiday. Not competition.”

“You’re right,” Zack said gently. He took a quick look around before lowering his voice. “I heard from your mom that she forgot to bring your uhm…diapers. Everything okay or do I need to get your mom?”

“No, no, I’m dry,” Zoe said with a giggle. Mostly, she thought to herself with another giggle. She joined Zack in walking over to the rest of the family as they made their way to go up the mountain again.

Zoe spent the rest of her day as simply as she possibly could. She chased after her little cousins, showing them how to ski. She engaged in furiously quick snowball fights and even let Mason try her snowboard for a little.

At that very moment, Zoe didn’t have much time to overthink what was happening. She was hiding behind a tree trying to take cover and avoid being seen. Her cousins had decided to gang up on her and after multiple snowballs pelting her hard, she had opted to use the tree for a shield.

“G-guys this is not f-f-fair!” Zoe said, grumpy that her stutter was a little more pronounced than usual. She had just gotten used to wearing a diaper and not having her stutter, now she was without and her anxiety was coming back. Grabbing a handful of snow with a huff, Zoe formed a snowball and carefully aimed it at Dennis who was trying to sneak around the side of her.

A loud shriek told her that she had aimed well before suddenly she let out a shriek of her own as she was covered in a flurry of snow. Alice, Noah, and Mason had taken the opportunity to rush Zoe as she was distracted. Fortunately she was saved by her Aunt Beth who shouted for everyone to gather up.

Shaking all of the snow off of her, Zoe was eagerly patted down by all of her cousins helping her take off the snow.

“Thanks guys,” Zoe said with a bright smile. “I would never have gotten all of that snow off without your help. Although, I wonder how it got there in the first place,” she added cheekily as she shook out the last bits of snow from her hair.

“We’re leaving in ten,” Beth announced to everyone. “Just shove all of your wet clothes and the boards in the back of the trucks.”

Without the extra layer of her snow pants and jacket, both of which had been drenched from snow, Zoe shivered. The air had started to get infinitely more chilly as the sky grew darker. She was about to step into the car when her mom called out.

“Zoe, don’t forget to go to the bathroom before we leave,” Amelia said. “We don’t want any accidents on the road.”

“Yeah that would be annoying,” Zoe muttered quietly before making her way to the bathroom. As she waited in line for a toilet, she felt another small pang from her bladder. She had to admit that it was a good idea that she was going before they left. It was likely she would have been okay on the drive, but it at least saved her the hassle of having to ask for a pitstop. However, the line was longer than expected as everyone seemed to be leaving at the exact same time as her family was. It was so long she even received a text from Amelia asking where she was. With a slightly annoyed breath, Zoe typed back that the line was long and that she was nearly there.

It took another 15 minutes before she was able to return to the cars where, to her surprise, only Beth and her mom was waiting.

“Where is everyone else?” Zoe asked with a slight frown.

“They went ahead, but we’re driving along with Beth,” Amelia said as they followed Beth back to their tall Ford Ranger that Zoe’s Uncle Tommy owned. “You took a little long in line, but we’re not too far behind.” Amelia frowned as she watched Zoe try to get in the car. “Need a hand getting in?”

“No, I can manage,” Zoe smiled, grimacing as her muscles seized up. She backed up a bit before taking a slight run and launching herself into the truck.

“Well, that’s one way to do it,” Beth laughed as she started the engine.

In no time at all, everyone was situated in the truck and on their way back to the house. Even though it had been a long day, it was a good day. But Zoe couldn’t wait to be back at the house and surrounded by the comfort she had grown used to.

Granted I’m not the writer but she told her parents about wanting to wear/use in the first chapter and all of them signed a contract okaying it. that being said there is always the possibility of a different reason, what I wrote is just a guess.

The contract definitely is a part off it and we don’t want to give anything away. However if you read the chapters carefully you can maybe occasionally ask the question is this what Zoe had in mind when she made her wish known.

Or maybe Zoe occasionally gets more then she bargained for.

I hope this will send people into the right direction with the title and also give some incentive to have lots of fun re-reading hehe

I’m really liking this one. It is a nice change that the diaper side is more the social/family relation instead of the primary focus.
Have to wonder how much trouble her drive to win just got her in?
Keep up the good work, and don’t worry if it takes some time between chapters. The wait is worth it.

I am glad you like the concept of diapers as a more lowkey thing we both aim for the goal to make it a storie first and then add in the diapers

and it makes us happy to read that is working so far.
Many thanks for the awesome compliment

a/n: Oh goodness, Selena here. Avery didn’t inform me that 1. there was a forum failure and 2. that they were posting the unedited version of this chapter. So please take this as a gift (and sorry to everyone who read this already). Just need to read it again!

Chapter 12: Deep Impact
For a moment, Zoe felt as though she was floating through a black hole, unable to feel a single thing. While she wasn’t feeling anything, it wasn’t exactly comfortable either. She was cold – so very cold.

However, once the initial shock wore off and the world started to materialize, Zoe very quickly wished that she could return to the dreamlike state she had just been in.

Her body was hurting everywhere at once. Zoe couldn’t even remember what had happened that could bring forth such incredible pain. It didn’t help that her head didn’t seem to want to cooperate with whatever thoughts seemed to be literally swirling in her mind.

Letting out a groan, Zoe became aware of voices frantically calling her name.

“Zoe! Zoe!”

“Hey, Zoe!”

“Come on, honey, wake up.”

“Oww,” Zoe moaned, trying to open her eyes. She was able to peel them open for a brief millisecond before squeezing them shut again. The bright light overhead made her brain feel like someone was hammering an extremely sharp nail into it. Despite that, people were still calling her name and to try and make it stop (as that was starting to be equally as painful) Zoe cracked open her eyes again. At least it hurt a little less this time, but she could barely make out the anxious and worried face of her father, never mind the people who were surrounding him.

“Hey, Zo,” he breathed out. He said something to someone over his shoulder that Zoe couldn’t understand before turning back to her. “Don’t move, okay? I’ve got you, honey.”

But why were there tears streaming down his face? Zoe wondered to herself as she tried to hang onto the words he was saying. She could see the shadow of someone reaching towards her face – to do what? She wasn’t sure, but then a quickly snapped out “No, leave it” from someone else.

Though she wasn’t understanding what was happening or what was being said, Zoe could feel the heat of something warm and wet creeping down her face. The immediate thought was to try and swat it away, but all Zoe could manage was a hand gingerly reaching up to touch whatever it was to brush it away. Whatever it was felt oddly sticky and when she pulled her fingers away from her face, she was moderately concerned to see an incredible amount of red.

Was that blood?

“Dad?” Zoe croaked out, aware that she sounded exceptionally anxious but not sure why. “Am I bleeding? Why am I bleeding?” As if she was suddenly hit by a freight train, Zoe felt a sudden surge of agonizing pain. “Everything hurts,” Zoe cried out, trying to sit up only to be pushed back down. “Why does everything hurt? What happened?”

“Shh,” Zack said. “Just stay still, Zo. Where does it hurt? Help is coming, but we need to know where it hurts the most.”

Zoe could only let herself figure out how to answer that question for just a moment before letting out an agonized wail. The short answer was that everywhere hurt, but her wrist felt like it was on fire and the inside of her skull felt like a very heavy-handed man in a metal band was drumming on her brain.

Before Zoe could answer, her vocal cords feeling exceptionally thick and sluggish, the sound of an engine came roaring towards them. The noise grew louder and louder until Zoe could feel the rumble practically vibrating her entire body until, to Zoe’s relief, finally stopping. But then an unfamiliar face was overhead.

“Hey there. My name is Mike and I’m a paramedic. Can you tell me your name?”

“’m Z-Z-Zo-Zoe.”

“Nice to meet you, Zoe.”

Something about the man was oozing comfort. Zoe wasn’t sure if it was his large, friendly face or his big smile or the way he talked with a funny accent that she couldn’t quite place, but Zoe felt he was there to genuinely make sure she was okay. And maybe despite her head hurting, she could just close her eyes for a little bit. She felt extremely tired, after all.

“Hey, Zoe, stay with me please,” Mike said, a slight tinge of urgency to his voice beneath the gentleness. “Do you know what happened?”

“Uhm,” Zoe had to think about how to answer Mike’s question for a long moment. She blinked slowly, trying to recall what had happened. She remembered that they were snowboarding, but how she ended up where she was, she wasn’t sure.

“I fell?” Zoe tried, unsure if that was the correct answer or not.

“Yeah, that’s right, Zoe,” Mike said in his funny accent. Perhaps it was Australian, Zoe decided. The thought was so quick that she hadn’t even realized that she had said it out loud until Mike chuckled.

“You’re a clever one, eh?” Mike said, giving a small shake of his head. “But nah, I’m not Australian. My dad was, though.” The amused look on Mike’s face shifted to one more serious and Zoe focused hard. “Listen, Zoe, it looks like you crashed really hard. I need you to tell me where it hurts.”

“Kind of everywhere,” Zoe replied with a wince. Every so often a sharp pang would rip through her behind the thinly veiled fog.

“Anywhere specific?”

“Uhm, my wrist, I think,” Zoe said, lifting her unbloodied hand and letting out a weak giggle at the way it seemed to hang. “I think it’s broken.”

“Okay,” Mike said gently. “Anywhere else??”

“I don’t know,” Zoe answered softly. She just wanted to sleep, but someone called her name again. “Uhm, my hip and my head, I guess. I’m getting really cold,” Zoe added with a shiver. “My face hurts.”

“Okay, Zoe,” Mike said gently. “So, we have to get you down the mountain, and I don’t think it’s a good idea if you go down by yourself, so we’re going to use a sled, okay? But before we get you on, I’m going to need to put a brace around your neck. It’s going to feel uncomfortable, but I need you to stay as stall as possible. Do you understand?”

Zoe wanted to nod, but firm hands stopped her. “Hey, don’t move your head,” Mike repeated.

“Okay,” Zoe sniveled slightly. Now that she was starting to become more aware of what was happening, she was starting to get scared. She couldn’t remember anything, but she knew it had to be bad.

“All right, Zoe, we’re going to get you on a backboard and then we’ll bring you on down.”

Zoe didn’t say anything and decided to just let things happen. It wasn’t like she could do anything about it, and she tried to ignore the strange sensation of being carefully moved onto something hard and then wrapped up. She could hear snippets of conversation, picking up on things like “look at her wrist” and “yeah, she is definitely concussed” along with “we need to airlift her out.” Suddenly Zoe felt a blinding pain in her wrist, and she couldn’t help but let out a scream.

“Sorry, sorry,” Mike said. “We had to stabilize your wrist. Not going to lie – it’s broken pretty badly.” There was a slight pinch that Zoe couldn’t pinpoint, but the pain didn’t let up. “Okay, we’re going to slide you down. It won’t be long before we get you out of here.”

Everything that followed felt extremely disjointed to Zoe and she swore she missed half of what was being said. The loud engine of what Zoe presumed to be a snowmobile roared to life and she felt herself being tugged down the slopes. She couldn’t help but giggle. This wasn’t what she expected, and she immediately wondered if she was completely losing it if she was laughing at a moment like this.

Just as quickly as the movement started, it stopped much to Zoe’s relief. She was starting to feel queasy. Once again, it felt like Zoe couldn’t catch onto most of the conversation that was being said all from different people.

“What do you mean an ambulance –”

“Rerouted? Why? I don’t –”

“She definitely has head trauma and –”

“She seems slow right now –”

“Well use an ambulance. We can’t wait for a –”

“It’s already here –”

Closing her eyes for a second, Zoe tried to stop the spinning in her head, but it only seemed to make things worse. Though she didn’t want to, she kept her eyes open.

Out of nowhere, Zoe felt herself starting to be lifted from the ground before she let out an “oof” of surprise. All the commotion was starting to unsettle her as the pounding in her head threatened to overtake the pain in her wrist. And, well, everywhere else. When she heard her name, Zoe forced herself to try and focus to listen in on what was being said.

“Zoe, 19-year-old female. Definitely a broken wrist, likely concussion, possible hip fracture, but we’re more concerned with her head right now.”

“Okay, got it,” a female voice said before a head with a mop of brown hair appeared overtop Zoe’s face. “Hey there, Zoe. I’m Nicole, and I’m going to make sure that you get to the hospital in one piece, okay?”

“You’re pretty,” Zoe blurted out before even being able to realize what she said. From somewhere in the background, Zoe heard someone call out, “Yep. Definitely a concussion.”

“Why thank you, Zoe,” Nicole said with a smile. “Now how about we get you into the ambulance because it’s pretty cold out here.”

“Y-yeah it’s c-cold,” Zoe agreed. With that, Zoe was loaded into the ambulance which set Zoe off into a moment of panic. “Wh-where are my p-parents?” Zoe stammered out, tears threatening to come.

“They’ll come later,” Nicole said. “They’re still on their way down, but we have to get you out of here and to a hospital.”

“Yeah, okay,” Zoe murmured. “They’ll come later.” Zoe could feel herself starting to become more and more overwhelmed by what was happening. She flinched slightly as the ambulance doors were slammed shut, the noise bouncing around in her head like a ping-pong ball and only made worse by the sirens coming to life.

As the ambulance drove off, Zoe could only stare up at the ceiling of the ambulance. Somewhere on the edge of her vision, she could see Nicole busying herself with something.

“How are you feeling, kid?” Nicole asked.

“Like shit,” Zoe groaned. “I feel like I took a nose dive off the bars.”

“The bars?”

“Yeah. The uneven bars in the gym.”

“Ah,” Nicole said in understanding. “You’re a gymnast?” Nicole looked over at something to her right and then back at Zoe. Zoe wasn’t sure what she was looking at, but Nicole seemed somewhat relieved by what she saw.

“Yeah,” Zoe said with a slight giggle. “I’m pretty good, too.”

“So, what exactly do you do?” Nicole asked as she tried to wipe off some of the blood on Zoe’s face, causing her to hiss in pain. “I’m sorry, I’m trying to be gentle,” Nicole said softly, her face scrunched in concentration. “What is it about gymnastics that you like?”

“Well, I like the floor and the bars, and I like the idea of just flying around on them and winning prizes.”

God, what’s happening to me? Zoe thought. It was as though her filter was completely non-existent, and she felt stupid.

“So you really are good then, huh?” Nicole asked with a chuckle. “And don’t worry about being unfiltered. Trust me, I’ve heard way worse.”

“I said that out loud?” Zoe asked before giggling and continuing to ramble. “I think I’m good. I win a lot. I don’t really like losing. Yesterday I got mad because I lost a snowboard race with my sister. Hey…I’m not s-st-stuttering. Did you k-k-know I st-stutter?”

“I can hear it,” Nicole said. “It’s probably the drugs that we gave you. Lessens the anxiety and makes you more relaxed. How are you feeling now? You’re starting to get quiet on me.”

Zoe supposed that she had. She felt her body starting to grow both hot and cold at the same time. “I don’t feel so good,” Zoe said slowly, her words slurring together. “Everything really hurts, and I’m starting to feel sick. My head is killing me, and I want to sleep.”

“Well, you can’t sleep just yet,” Nicole said quickly. “We’re nearly at the hospital, though. I’ll give you something to help with the nausea though, I don’t want you to get sick.”

Whatever it was Nicole gave her seemed to do the trick, Zoe’s stomach settling for a moment until they hit a pothole. Zoe gave out a shout of pain.

“Ow ow ow ow ow,” Zoe hissed out. “Everything hurts,” she moaned.

“Sorry,” Nicole apologized again. “The roads suck this time of year, and I can’t give you much more for the pain.”

“It’s okay,” Zoe said, gritting her teeth. “I’ve had worse.” Although Zoe couldn’t exactly remember or think of a time that she had hurt more. “My head is killing me, but the rest is okay, I guess.”

“Well, you’ve got some pretty nasty bruises on the side of your face,” Nicole admitted. “I’m a little worried that you might have broken something else.”

There was a lull in the conversation, which Zoe was fine with. She didn’t have the energy to respond. But the problem was she was acutely aware that she needed the bathroom. Somewhere deep in the haze, Zoe decided that her day had already gone to shit so it was just going to add to her misery.

“Nicole? H-how long until we get to the h-hospital?”

“Another ten minutes or so,” Nicole replied. “I’m sorry that it’s taking so long. The hospital is a bit out from the mountains, and you’re probably really uncomfortable.”

Zoe groaned in acknowledgement. Great, she thought before she remembered that she was wearing a diaper. She swore that for a very minute moment of time, things didn’t feel quite as dire as a familiar warmth started to spread. It was enough to start to drive out the chill that had settled into her bones. At least that was until Nicole broke Zoe’s trance, and she was brought right back to where she was.

“Hey, Zoe! Zoe! Don’t fall asleep,” Nicole frowned. “We’re nearly there, but I need you to stay awake for me.”

Zoe’s closed eyes snapped open again and she felt her face flush in realization. She had just wet herself in the back of an ambulance.

“Oh God,” Zoe muttered to herself.

“Zoe, hon, are you okay?” Nicole asked. “You’re really red all over.”

“I just wet myself,” Zoe blurted out.

“Oh, no,” Nicole said sympathetically. “I’m sorry, Zoe. It’s okay, though. They’ll be able to help you more at the hospital, and I promise no one will judge you.”

Zoe couldn’t help but start to giggle hysterically. “It’s okay,” she said, “I’m wearing a diaper.” Zoe immediately turned even redder. “Why did I say that out loud? I should probably stop talking. I am really tired.”

“It’s okay, Zoe. Just stay with me for a few more minutes.”

“Yeah,” Zoe whispered. “I don’t feel great.”

“What’s wrong, Zoe?” Nicole asked, sitting up a little straighter so that Zoe could see her.

“’m dizzy,” Zoe said. “Usually things look okay, not fuzzy. But now everything is funny. Guess I can’t see really good either.”

“How exactly do you mean?”

“Well, it’s like…something.”

“Okay,” Nicole said, jotting something down. “It’s okay.” Before Zoe knew it, the ambulance slammed to a halt, making her groan in pain.

“All right, we’re here, Zoe. They’ll fix you right up,” Nicole said before jumping into work mode. “Okay, we have Zoe DiLuca, 19-year-old female. She collided with a pole while snowboarding. Broken wrist, head trauma, and signs of a concussion. She’s mentioned pain in her hip along with blurry vision.” Nicole turned to Zoe as they walked and gave her a gentle smile. “Good luck, Zoe. You’ll be fine.”

“Yeah,” Zoe said, “I’ll be fine.” Zoe wasn’t entirely sure if she had spoken out loud or not. All she knew was that she was being wheeled off to who knows where, and for just a moment, she let herself close her eyes, letting it all sink in.
