Anyone know a UK source for Formacare Easy Slips?

I really rather like the Forma Care Easy Slip, the all-white, plastic backed budget version of the Formacare nappies.

Does anyone know a UK source for them?

discountmedical.co.uk do the Comfort and Premium versions but not the Easy Slip.

This is the first time I see them mentioned on ADISC. Since I saw them at the german company SaveExpress, I thought about trying them, but never did because I didn’t find any review about them. Sorry, but I don’t know a UK source, but I’m pretty sure SaveExpress does deliver to the UK.

Although I can’t help you there, I’m thrilled possibly to be able to get first-hand knowledge about Easy Slips.

I gather they somewhat resemble vintage diapers from last century? Could you compare them to the ABU SDKs in that respect?

They are thinner than SDK’s but the padding and plastic are certainly more like European 1980s nappies than the SDK’s are, which are more 1990s American Pampers replicas.

They have squared off padding, are all white and the plastic is close to 1980s nappies.

SaveExpress does deliver to UK and that’s where I’ve bought them before. The Formacare UK website lists them but you can’t buy single packs or cases direct from them, sadly.

Great, I really love SDKs, but I’ve always thought their plastic differed from the nostalgic memories of my trigger nappies.

Sounds like I’ll have to free even more room for the diaper compartment in my wardrobe (slightly outdated pic).

You may have initiated a emotional revival. Thank you very much indeed!

If I may persist, are they more of the fluffy/bulky or SAPpy/squishy variety?

Only tried the Formacare Slip X-PLUS (Blue) but always bought them from Save Express and had them delivered to UK. I really like them as a product, they absorb a lot and look great but they are prone to clumping sadly.

They’re not as SAP-py as things like the SDK and they’re not the thickest but they do wick very well. I bought some more from SaveExpress this week and wasn’t disappointed. I wore one to bed last night. Woke up wet as usual (I normally wee once or twice in the night, mostly without waking up) and had my morning wee in it too.

The nappy was mostly used from front to back but it didn’t leak at all.

The plastic is the thinner, smooth shiny type that way as found on a lot of 1980s nappies and the “wet bottom” feel of it having wicked round the back was very familiar and satisfying.

They’re definitely retro!

I ordered some as well (thanks again for the short review) and I’m currently wearing one. They appear suprisingly thin, but maybe I’m spoiled by BetterDry. Apart from that, I like them. Nice shell, good fit. I’ll see how they hold up now I’m making them thicken a little.

Enjoy! They wick from front to back so if you test them to destruction they won’t swell much but you will use up all the padding before they leak. They hold two full on floodings comfortably or a full morning of wearing and wetting whenever the urge strikes.

I’ve not actually had any leak (yet) but have always changed when the padding seems to be getting full.

If you want something comparable to bettedry you want the FormaCare X-PLUS Slip. It isn’t as good in my opinion, but they’re quite thick if you allow them to decompress.

Very true.

They can be had from discountmedical.co.uk under the Formacare Comfort range label.

They are plastic backed, a bit thicker and have an elasticated waistband.

They are also colour coded based on size and the plastic is a bit thicker. I find they have more SAP too so if you prefer swelling to wicking, you will like them.

The padding shape and coverage is virtually identical to the Easyslips.

Been using these at night now for a few nights as an alternative to the usual L4.

They’re great as they still have that 1980s nappy feel with a different 80s style plastic, don’t leak (I usually wet once or twice in the night), squared off padding that extends nicely into the wings and are all-white.

They are very much like the Ultra Pampers of that time, minus the waistbands.

The L4 by contrast are thicker and have plastic that was more like Peaudouce.

Both very nice to wear.

Frustratingly, saveexpress now charge an arm and a leg to deliver to the UK.

Probably something to do with Brexit.

Double frustratingly, Easyslips are listed by two UK mid-market suppliers Medi-Inn and Formacare UK but neither sell directly to the public.

Does anyone know a UK supplier of Easy Slips?

They’re on Amazon

“Currently unavailable.”

I think they have been listed but unavailable there for quite a while, sadly.
