I know I did, alot, I also had a small shoebox filled with clippings and ads when I was like 6 or 7 (about '98 or '99ish). In retrospect, it was kinda obsessive, but hell, I was just a young kid who wouldn’t learn about my true desires until my first iMac in 2000-01 ( I would have been around 8-9, didn’t buy my first pack until my fourth grade winter break, I was the only 9 going on 10 year old in that grade). So, did anyone else do this as a kid who didn’t know what it meant?
Here’s a small blast from the past for ya guys
Huggies Supreme and Convertibles ad (Late 2004, I secretly wore one from Indiana to Oklahoma when we went to my crazy great aunts funeral).
Never did any clipping of paper ads, but when a diaper ad would come on TV, I’d pay closer attention than most other kids my age – unless they or my parents were around.
Nope. Though much like everyone else, I certainly did watch the commercial ads. Always made me feel embarrassed when they came on and I was around other people though.
I am just like Brabbit on this one. All of my life I have gotten embarrassed when a diaper ad came on tv and there was someone else in the room. I always felt like the other people in the room were staring at me and watching for me to react. Of course, this was complete paranoia because nobody could have known my secret desire. It was only recently, when I started to tap into my AB side, that I finally realized why I felt this way when the ads came on.
Ya. . I know exactly what you mean. For a while even I didn’t know why, I would get so embarrassed with those commercials. Sometimes I would even purposefully try to pretend I am not paying attention to it XD.
There where also shows that really stuck in my mind when I was little too.
Like the Rugrats episode with angelica wearing diapers. Or the episode with Chuckie and potty training. These sort of memories always freak me out because it makes me realize, I have been an AB/DL for as long as I can remember. Then all it does is make me wonder .. why and how. XD
I do have to say though … I think being an AB/DL is the best thing ever. I absolutely love it so much, it makes me so happy. Other people don’t know what they are missing rofl … XD.
OMG! For some weird reason my brain blocked out both of those rugrats episodes, I can now vividly remember watching them on my console TV in the late 90’s when we ran out of America Online minutes, that’s one of the only times I ever watched nickelodeon at all. They were played back to back if I remember correctly and I kinda knew something was up when I watched them, it opened up the door and when we got america online back up I searched for “I Want To Wear Diapers” on yahoo.
Me too, and not only that, there was the big, Sears catalog which would get mailed to everyone’s house. Both my mom and dad worked, so when I got home from school, I would find the Sears catalog and turn to the diaper adds. There they were, all those wonderful cloth diapers and plastic pants, along with other baby things. I suppose that after awhile, the catalog opened itself to those pages.
My parents got Reader’s Digest magazine when I was a kid. It always had a Depends ad in it. Back then it would usually have a picture/sketch of the diaper. I liked to read them too, so they would give me the magazine when they were done with it. Before throwing it away, I would carefully tear out the Depends ad and stash it with my collection. I used to have a big stack of them. I guess I must have thrown them out at some point.
I too liked to see them on tv and was freaked out if anyone was in the room was scared they’d notice me looking , I still feel that way even more when the few people ive come out to are here watching tv with me even if im sitting next to them in a diaper . makes no sense I know
If someone older than I was in the room, my ears would get warm, and I’d wish they’d shut up. There was a feeling of impending doom. Maybe even a bit of, “Why are they in here pushing my buttons?!”

Oh my gosh! I love that one! I also love the one where Tommy goes to daycare, and the one where he’s brave when getting a, “rooster shot.” I was needle/ medical procedure phobic as a kid. And who the heck would try to wean Tommy at a year old!

I’ve had several childhood experiences, since about 5ish, all of which, taken together, make it glaringly obvious to me.
I always glanced at the diaper isle at the store when we walked past. And when watching Rugrats, I would stuff my underwear with toilet paper and pretend I was on the show. Anyone remember the episode of My Life As A Teenage Robot where Jenny gets sent to preschool because she’s technically only like, three or something? I loved that episode so much.
Yep, I remember it vividly, by the time that show premiered (2003) my desires were in full swing, I was 11 and had been secretly wearing since I was 9 going on 10.
